Have had these for about a decade. Totally sold on bidets. If you have ANY hardness in your water, the nozzles will eventually clog. My current house has a water softener and the nozzles are doing well. Old house didn't have softener and nozzles eventually stopped up. You can try and leave the wand extended, power down the unit, and rig up a bottle with vinegar in it to remove calcification. The bowl sprayer doesn't have a good way to clean it. There's a charcoal air filter for the fan that's not mentioned in manual I got. Replace it every so often, like when the smell grom the unit gets "funky." Can find videos on YT about replacing process.

I just bought this model on sale as they are clearing them out, apparently. Should be a nice quality upgrade from my other one from Costco. Just arrived today, will install it this weekend!

It still has the “new” flag on the Toto website so I’m pretty sure this is not getting cleared out anytime soon. I think you just got the tail end of the Cyber Monday sale. Nice work! My family waits for the bathroom with this Toto washlet. Will probably need to get another one soon 😅

I've had this Washlet for about a year now. It's okay, but changing my life nah. The first thing I noticed was the seat opening is a lot smaller than any normal seat. I previously had a heated toilet seat - now that changed my life, nothing better in the winter than sitting on a warm seat which this one has. It's such a process, takes some getting used to IMO. I do save on TP, but it takes more time to do what you gotta do. I use small wash cloths (specifically for this use) to blot myself dry otherwise I'd be sitting there a loooong time to fully dry. I did buy a Toto because they are the premier company for bidets. I was lucky to find a brick and mortar store so I could see, sit and have someone talk me through what it does.

This is probably an overshare, but the reason I originally got this was that our family had gotten a bit addicted to wet wipes (and still using TP too). Which we couldn't flush (even the flushable kind don't work with our 100 year old plumbing), felt super wasteful, and made for a gross bathroom trash. Thanks to this bidet, I was able to wean my family off wet wipes. We still use toilet paper, but a LOT less than we would use otherwise. And everyone waits to use the bathroom with the bidet over going to the bathroom with the normal toilet. If I said life changing, that would be an exaggeration as it is just a toilet seat. But it is extremely spoiling and I can't imagine us not replacing this with another bidet seat when it finally wears out. (and the heated seat is the best!)

Excellent review. How does the plug work? Is your outlet nearby?

I am really curious how well the dryer works. How long does it take to dry? Surely it takes a couple minutes at least to get it good and dry. Can’t be too powerful..

I’m way too impatient for the dryers on any bidet 😂 Our family loves it for the warm seat and the constant hot water rinse, but we all usually use toilet paper. Just a lot less than we would otherwise. That said. The dryer has three heat settings and the highest is quite warm. I timed it for you on the highest setting as a woman: Good enough: 1 minute Totally dry: 2 minutes I imagine a man would be dry much faster given that there is only one spot to dry that is right where the dryer blows at first. Hope that isn’t TMI 😅

Thank you for the review. How long does it spray you? Can you spray longer or shorter or is it a set time?

You can spray for as long or little as you want! I think it might automatically turn off at 3 minutes if you don’t press anything, but you can always start it back up. I don’t think it’s ever turned off on me automatically and I have family members that’ll run it for 20 minutes straight. Thanks to the constant heated water, it really is as long as you want. Turn on by clicking either focused spray button. Turn off early by pressing the small black button at the top. And to keep it on, you can always play with the water spray variations (like side-to-side) that I am confident restart any timer that might exist.

It has water controls - luke warm, warm, and quite warm! And it will run whatever temp you want the entire time as it has an instant-hot heater. Which is what makes this one unique - many bidets have larger back portions as they heat the water in water tanks. So they not only are bulkier, but they only have so much hot water at a time. The fact that this one will run the water temp you want the entire time is my favorite part!

That is super lame 😥 If you are right under a year, Toto does have a 1 year warranty 🤞🤞 I'm at about 8 months right now. Before I got this, I did a ton of research and ended up in a bunch of different forums. Most of them said Toto washlets last 3-6ish years. I figured that if mine lasted only 3 years, it's still worth it...but 1 year? That's not right.
