El Chalten is a small village in Patagonia South in Argentina. El Chalten is a popular destination for outdoor people as you can do lots of impressive hikes in the region such as the most famous Fitz Roy Hike that will lead you to the Lagoon of the 3 peaks.
I did the Fitz Roy hike and there are a few things you need to know before starting the Fitz Roy hike. Check out the video in order to be prepared for your own Fitz Roy adventure.

La vista de la laguna al final del camino es espectacular y en mi opinión hace que valga la pena 100% ir para cualquiera que tenga la oportunidad de hacerlo.😅✌

I did that trip in 1998. We spent several days with our tent on those paths as there is a lot of them. The Fitz Roy is spectacular. Almost as your video! Visiting Salta? I leved in the north of Salta, not very tourist that part but when I have people visiting me, I was taking to do "the petrotour", a tour around petroleum facilities, even to an abbandom well that people use to extract oil to start their fires for cooking. I was going with a bottle of coke and a wire, and getting oil directly from the well. If you have time, visit Acambuco and descend to the river Itau at Campo Largo. River Itau is the border between Aregentina and Bolivia. Best swim in my life. Hot and cristal clear water in mid april. If you are going to Jujuy, you can visit Iruya, in Salta and walk to San Isidro. Reccomendation fo la puna: Hotel Huacalera!

I can imagine that it must have been an amazing experience to camp there 🤩 The area is absolutely stunning and I would have loved to also explore more :) Unfortunately I already left Argentina 🥲 I think I saw (for me and for now) the most important places of the country but obviously there is so much more to discover! It has to wait for the next time I’ll visit. Thanks for all the recommendations, they will not be forgotten ☺️

Demasiado buenooo..😂 primero y principal la vista es increíble el parque... Provoca trotarlo correrlo.. vivirlo.. y la laguna de las tres uff vale la pena por supuesto que si... Y alina sorry no pude evitar que me causara gracia el verte sufriendo con el hike... 😂😂 porechita ( es como pobrecita) en buen sentido sin hate..... Todo es culpa de esas milanesa empanadas y fugazettas malvadas 😂😂😂 y al final del video la mujer gritando mi rodilla mi rodilla!!!😅😅😅 Pero ya siendo serios tremendo video espero cuando vaya poder conocerlo y bueno ver una aurora... Seria Aurora Austral pero seria Aurora... Que estes genial alina y felicidades esta serie de argentina fue un tremendo éxito my Best wishes

Hello Alina, when you reached the end of the path you still had to swim the lagoon de los tres to reach the peaks, I'm lying, just kidding 😋 I seriously loved the video❤️ it was incredible, the beautiful thing about hiking in places like this is its spectacular landscapes, it's truly wonderful, it's worth the effort, the lagoon looks super beautiful and its peaks in the background with a spectacular view, excellent video and very good hiking Alina👍

Excelente video Alina. Gracias por mostrar a mi país al mundo. Lo bueno de ese sendero es que si físicamente no eres capaz de hacer el trayecto completo igual tienes opciones intermedias para disfrutar de vistas increíbles. Es remonedable llevar bastones para ayudarse. Comentario, en esa región hay numerosos glaciares pero en ese trayecto no se ve el Perito Moreno, sino otros (creo que son el Marconi, el Eléctrico y el Cagliero)

Todos forman parte del Campo de Hielos Patagónicos Sur, que es la tercera masa de hielo terrestre más grande del mundo (después de la Antártida y Groenlandia) Pero el Perito Moreno está mucho más al sur que los glaciares que se ven en El Chaltén. Gracias por interesarte sobre cosas de mi país.

The last path gets really tough. But I’d say I’ve seen people of many different ages and fitness levels. I think if you take it slow you can probably also manage to get there :)

Well done! That view at the top. People say different things but that looks like more than a medium hike. Would it be safer and best to go with a group or solo is a wonderful personal experience? I am hoping to go Torres Del Paine from here after.

There are lots of people doing this hike so I would say it’s safe to even do it alone as you will meet people along the way :) I’d say it depends on your preference. If you want to disconnect and just be alone with your thoughts in nature, do it by yourself! But if you are a person that doesn’t enjoy “me-time” go with someone as it’ll be very long 8 hours otherwise 😅 Torres del Paine must also be an amazing experience! Haven’t been there yet, but someday I’m also hoping to get there 🤩

@@aventuralina Basically Moses Peak which is located in my village from where you will get a view of the different peaks of the world which are more than 700 meters high together. Be sure to come here at my invitation and do some research. When you will tour this mountain with me. You will feel like you are touring your own country with your friends and family. You will enjoy this five days trip immensely.

@@aventuralina yes! I'll be following a very similar path to yours in a couple weeks. How much was the 2 day salt flat tour? Online it shows $100+USD but I'm assuming it's cheaper in person ?

@@gb747gb yes, it’s a bit cheaper there. The tours all offer more or less the same and also very similar prices. For the two days tour you will pay about 65 - 80 USD, depending on the kind of accommodation for example. You can easily book in in Uyuni one day before you want to do the tour :)

Schade, dass ihr nicht 400 m von der Laguna de los Tres nach links gegangen seid, um tief unten die Laguna Sucia zu sehen. Wo seid ihr jetzt gerade? Vielleicht kann ich Euch für Bolivien Tipps geben. Ich war voriges und vorletztes Jahr im November dort.

Hey, thanks a lot for your feedback! I’m happy to hear that you liked the video ☺️ I walked there. Depending on where you’ll stay, it’s a more or less 10-20 minutes walk through the city. Just look for Fitz Foy Hike at Google maps and you will find the starting point :)
