I used to be like shaclone when i was about 14 years old. League was taking a toll on my mental and it sucked even more cause i was addicted. I still play it from time to time. like a couple of games every other month or so. but i have almost 0 joy while playing the game.
@@SaintNyx Nah, for me it's definitely the game itself. Been playing since season 4 and the game just doesn't have been feeling as fun as it did back then for years. All the champs i started to like got reworked massively, the old versatile rune and mastery system got reworked. Basically getting rid of a lot theory crafting. The game is riddled with bugs and it takes them too long to fix anything.
The saddest part about these kinds of people is that over such a long course of years, they haven't changed one bit, they still hold the same mentality and it honestly baffles my mind.
sometimes people dont want to change. they stay stuck in the same routine with the same people and there is nothing pushing them to do so. that prevents their own personal growth
This also is because the game didnt changed a bit, so if the condition and all the "injustice" you think u see didnt changed, u think ur right, and with the state of poisoning this dude reached, its really hard to get to the point and understand what the situation is. T1 redemption was that he kept a lot of succes during his "dark age", shaclone didnt and so he victimize himself more and more all the way downhill

When you mentioned your own history with League, that hit hard, man. I had something similar, but not for League. I was just a toxic, rude person for most of my late teen years, but I eventually had stuff happen that made me rethink my life, and I decided I didn't want to be that way anymore. And when I see it still happening, all I can think is "thank God that isn't me."
I briefly felt sorry for the guy when Kira mentioned the 9 year gap. Then listened to him and realise he is a POS. Id be interested to know his background, family life n all cos, he seems to get popular with none of the consequences of talking crap to people. Apart from his bans, id love to have seen him get slapped about in public for talking like such a degenerate. Cancer like? suicide too? What a POS.
makes me remember my old best friend who was a dick all around until I just told him man I dont like being around you anymore you make every game(we played football soccer for USA)doesnt matter if we win or lose its just shittier not cause you dk how to play but cause when you f up its always everyone else fault and when you win it was all you ....he changed a lot after that talk and we still hang around like 10 years later glad you stopped before you become a perma dick like some people
I'm an ER nurse. I had a patient once who had cancer. He was a gamer. We were talking about league and other games and the toxic gaming communities. I'll never forget when he said, "I was playing games and was constantly told 'I hope you get cancer.' And here I am." And we both laughed.

Reminds me of the time when I played a game 6v4, because one of players (I forget if they were on my team or not) wasn't just feeding, but went as far as to actively sabotaging the other team. Trying to remember if the four players won. lol
I was very unhappy when someone on the enemy team leaves. I just pushed the lanes to end the game if people do not surrender. I didn't even tried to kill anyone. Kicking down someone is just not fun

Quitting League for good was one of the best experiences I've ever had in my gaming history. It felt like I removed a heavy weight from my soul. I couldn't say I was addicted to the game, but I felt the need to play it regularly. And it always ended in the same way. I was playing the game for a couple of months and then I was becoming bored of it or frustrated with it. Now this is not happening anymore. On the contrary, quitting League actually gave me more time to try new games and to focus on my personal life. Although, one thing needs to be clear. The game itself is not even that bad; what makes it insufferable is the awful community that surrounds it. And the adjacent parts of League, such as champion themes and animated shows like Arcane, are amazing and I believe they will remain this way for years to come.
@@blank2541 Thing is, almost none of my friends play League anymore. And even if they do, they rarely play. So the only way for me was to go solo, which is such a degrading experience.
I also think League is a great brand on it self, but ranked is so hard to get into. After you get into it its so hard to stop. I used to play like 6 hours a day raging and denying it was my fault that i was hardstuck gold. Thank god I stopped playing regularly when I started going to college.
eh league is ruined by the counity but by riot balancing the game in a toxic way that suits korean and chinese playstiles. these flashy new champs with 100 different abilities, evety champ can 1 shot everyone and so on. riot brought this upon themselves, and their refusal to add voice coms to the game just dehumanizes the game eve further and then half of the playerbase reaches a point where this shaclone is.
There should be a term "League disorder". I used to play lol and there are so many people who behave the same way in chat. This can't be normal. No other community, that I'm aware of, reaches these insane volumes of toxicity. I guess the game is just extremely addictive and people can't stop even when they hate it.

I remember Shaclone. He was blaming the game and Riot for his mental health and unhealthy lifestyle. I did too, but unlike him, I stopped playing the victim and quit the game. He really opened my eyes in one of his many rants/monologues when he said “I haven’t eaten healthy, something like an apple, because of this game for more than a month”. I literally talked to the screen and said “That’s is YOUR problem, look within. You can’t blame your diet on Riot Games”. He’s truly a crazy clown no pun intended.
I truly believe Shaclone is better than the players he plays with as I used to watch his games. But in this game you have be alot better than the others to climb out of your rank especially if you are playing many games. I had one account stuck in silver and another in low Plat that goes to show you the algorithm is not perfect.
@@coldprince130 It's not hard to climb if you're good enough. There are hundreds of players hitting chall back to back, or doing unranked to chall every season in multiple accounts. Your anecdotal experience doesn't reflect the reality. If you're a plat player it is impossible to be stuck in silver.

The terrifying thing is I can see this person really hurting other people, that amount of rage and narcissism has no good outcome without help he will never look for.
No that's stupid. Saying dumb shit and hurting people are worlds apart. Trying to gauge whether a person is violent by the stupid shit they say leads to authoritarianism, and then worse violence enacted in the name of morals and ethics.
If he can even access it. People are always saying reach out! reach out! But then you can't afford any of the doctors, insurance, medications, or therapies then what? You can try and apply for government aide but it takes ages to even get a reply (the entire time you're not being treated) and they'll most likely deny you anyways. Well if they got hurt they should get over it and grow simple nd if they are bad at the game quit nd stop bring other players down you shouldn't make a mistake more than twice.
Quitting league of legends alongside with FIFA were the best gaming decisions I've made in my life. Those games destroyed so many days of my life, I couldn't deal with the competitiveness of those games and like any other addiction I couldn't stop and ended up feeling disgusted with myself. Gaming addiction is horrible.
It's not the competitiveness. League and similar games with less skill barrier to entry attracts players who want to dominate the game fast. Fighting games and RTS have high skill barrier to entry yet the community is less toxic because everyone wants to improve their own skill first and enjoys challenging matches
In my experience, you should considered add Yugioh Duel Links to the list. That game was a time and money sink, there was a time I cost 25% of my salary to it for 6 continously months but still cannot build a proper meta deck due to some needed character to grind and constant N-word during rank due to how a full meta deck wipe my deck. I'm sad that he is still in this circle of pain and suffering and i hope that he will at some point break it and get to live a better life.
I went thru this game as well, but i wouldnt call it as lost time, it was time enjoyed. Everybody had a game where there was no time to play cause you had to 'discuss' with your lane partner, but thats just lol... In my case, i would say it made me a better person, i can insult people with finesse without using insults, im resistant to most kind of this abuse and dont mind it, also able to strike back - simply im not a snowflake in this matter. Thats what lol does, it breaks people or forge them :D

I legit just checked his channel and its so crazy to me how he has not changed at all. How can you go from getting 100k views per video to barley scratching 4k views and NOT think to yourself "damn I should really change how I am huh?" Like that's so crazy to me. Being the most toxic League of Legends player to the point that even the LoL community thinks you're bad is... well, not an accomplishment, but something. The journey to becoming the most toxic LoL player sounds like it'd make a great movie. Just a dude slowly self-destructing, in a community where everyone is erupting, and becoming lost in his own toxicity. I would unironically watch it with the right creators attached.
I cant believe i was soo deep into League ever. After quitting for 4 months i really never looked back at it ever and this video just proved to me that it was the best decision i ve made. My life is 10/10 much better without League and its sad seeing people like that wasting their life for that shit .... its insane. He really needs a reality check but i am afrait he is too deep into it
As a person that used to watch shaclone stream and watch his RU-vid videos every single day. I would stop doing everything to watch him. It's kinda sad to see somebody still going for this long and not realize what needs to be done :/
When you've reached the point you've told 1000s of people to off themselves for being bad at a game... how do you then acknowledge that you're the problem? I can't imagine any time he comes close to self-reflection, there wouldn't be a voice in his head saying all those vile things to himself that he said to other people. That seems like an extraordinary mountain to climb.
If you are master and above you are already better than most other players but honestly one can get there through various means, otp-ing is one of the many ways but the things about otp-s is that they know their champion inside and out. From an otp player perspective you are one of the best. I myself was rank 1 Soraka when I was Chall and reached #3. Realizing my childish dream and moving onto new games, after a while I did come back to league and although I am master in EUW I can easily tell who is inting or performing incredibly poorly. I no longer have the passion to carry games, I play to have fun and my fun is very easily ruined with incompetent decisions made by unexperienced players. Ranked for me is normal but with visible mmr.
Riot encourages toxicity. Example: I got jungle role Lock Lillia My ADC bans Lillia and picks Thresh They were a premade of 4 and all picked supports, they were trying to make me dodge so I picked Xayah with no smite They all went mid, feed nonstop Did I insult them? Yes. Once. I didn't say anything super toxic like cancer or drop dead or things like that. End result? They all 4 reported me and I got banned for 15 days So 4 guys decide to not play the game, troll the rest 6 players in the game, hijack me for 20 minutes. All withe one objective: ruin the game experience. And who gets punished? Ofc me!
This scenario is similar to what happened to videogamedunkey almost 10 years ago A malphite was inting and after dunkey raged on the chat he got suspended while the malphite was still allowed to keep playing the Game and after that he decided to quit league and everything got better for him not only on his channel, but on his personal life too Till this day some people on the comment section mentions that the malphite that caused that is still playing the Game.
What a fantastic video, very interesting view into a way of thinking foreign to me. When I used to play overwatch, the higher you climb the more unhappy teammates you get, never realized a lot of them were stuck in a negative feedback loop. I hope this guy can find peace one day
Gaming addition is tough. I have found a lot more balance in my life nowadays but I remember having a really difficult time with gaming addiction in my teens. I dunno if I just matured or whatever but I am able to moderate myself much better these days.
A wise man once said "It's just a game, why you have to be mad." I too was once incredibly addicted to league, i hit masters as my peak but after a week in masters the toxicity of the players seems to have skyrocketed. I wasn't having fun anymore, and i literally deleted my account to stop myself from playing a game i didn't have fun playing anymore. Edit: this was when league was still good in the season 5-8 days.
I'm a Dota player and i've only played LoL for about 6 months when it was first released, but still i can relate with the toxicity-argument and i believe it is an issue across-the-board when it comes to the MOBA genre... but i do believe there are different levels when it comes to toxicity and LoL is, no doubt, the highest level of it when it comes to MOBA games. Still, considering all the experiences i've had in both games, this guy seems to truly be on a league of his own.
Dota is just as bad imo - I still remember trying to get back into it, and just hear russians flaming me in voice chat for not perfectly denying enemy creeps, like wtf xd ppl are generally like this, no matter the game, as long as it is competetive
Great video. I've never heard of this guy, but as someone who played this game for about 10 years and is 4 months sober now (yay), it doesn't surprise me that League did this to a person. It just seems like a miserable game for EVERYBODY, whether you are a good asset to the community or not. Let me give you an example. Yesterday I tuned into Nemesis's stream (he's like in the top 100 players on EUW server) and watched him basically single-handedly carry his team to victory. It seemed hopeless, but he kept trying, kept advising his teammates on what to do, what items to buy, without being rude and flaming anybody. He didn't give up. After nearly 40 minutes of play and a hard earned victory screen, he wasn't even able to crack a smile. First words that left his mouth were something in the line of: "Man this was so tiring", or "Man this game gives me a headache". So, for the most rewarding feeling a player can have in League, he barely felt anything. Now I know Nemesis has been vocal about not enjoying Legue anymore and only streaming it for money, but damn it hurt to see a man having so little passion for something he's so good at, especially when he is also very respectful to others in the process. I took Nemesis as an example, but honestly every popular League streamer seems miserable playing this game. Conceptually, it is a fun game, but it just doesn't seem to be worth everything you have to endure. Thanks for taking time to read this comment. If you have any thoughts, feel free to reply. :)
Kira. I just discovered your channel today and have watched several of your videos and decided to subscribe because of your amazing content and story telling abilities and this video is my favorite so far. This video showcases what's wrong with so many people nowadays, it's the fact the so many people place the blame on the 'bad' events in their life on some outside factor when the reality is that 80% or more of the events that happen in our lives happen because of a decision that we made in the past. I know this is true because this is how I used to be. I used to place the blame on 'bad luck' or anything else I could think of, but as soon as I realized that almost every single thing that happened to me in life was my fault my life took an amazing turn to good. I'm the happiest I've ever been and have the most fulfilling life in every way imaginable and I didn't do anything different, all I did was begin to take responsibility. I hope this video helps other to realize the YOU'RE in control of your life, take ownership of it and watch it blossom.

I searched for how to quit league videos since I believe I am an addict and found this. It left me horrified, the pure hatred, the twisted mind which is a result of the addiction just made me feel so utterly sad for this man even though he would deserve a good beating. I think I never want to fall into a pit of misery and despair this man has fallen into. Now I know it's individual for every person but this just made my emotions go on a roller coaster. So sad what can become of a human being under the influence of an addiction.

The story of League of Legends is just very sad. I genuinely think it's an amazing game and when I played in coordinated teams of friends I knew in real life, it was hands down one of the best gaming experiences of my life. But the levels of toxicity render the game unplayable. I would quit and come back to it several times because I just missed the genuinely fun gameplay. Every time I returned, hoping that maybe something has changed, I realised it just got worse and worse. I used to occasionally feel the need to report a player for bad behaviour, once every few games. Last time I tried it maybe 2 years ago and I felt I had to report several players every single game. It's gotten to a point where riot games doesn't even do anything about it because if they banned every toxic player, they'd lose 98% of the playerbase. Last time I played, I got flamed by someone, saying they hope I get cancer and die. I genuinely asked what do they think they achieve with this. I am one of the few players who actually want to play the game to the end instead of giving up the moment something goes slightly wrong. I kept trying to encourage my team to win. I tried explaining that toxicity isn't going to help us win the game. The player's response was simple: "Because if players like you get flamed enough, they will quit the game" and I guess he was right. Every player with a tinge of positivity left in them has quit due to the constant toxicity.
You may want to try again even though toxicity is far from solved Riot finally took some steps against it. Meaning Feedback from Reports is very frequent (showing something happens with them), people that use "zero tolerance words" will automatically be muted and punished, it is now possible to report people during the game and AFK detection is generally pretty good. There is finally a "party only chat" ideal for organized play with friends. And they are working actively on Systems for "Softinting" and subtile trolling. While far from perfect, for me it is finally halfway fun again.
Honestly I feel this, the best way to play solo que is to turn off chat. 99% of the time people aren’t typing anything useful, trust me it makes the game fun again
@@thelyxin I actually did try the game again and I see Riot added the best feature they have ever implemented, which is to set chat to party only! I've been playing with that settings and my games have actually been very enjoyable!

I was playing LB and ended 22/6/28 but I couldn't carry his inting, non-cooperative 2/18/4 ass. I linked my main afterwards, to tell him I laughed at him all game long and said that I was sorry for his pity, sad and seemingly boring live. He sent me a short vid of him standing in front of the camera screaming about how he would beat my ass and I saw he was a Real life Fiddlesticks. It made me laugh at him even harder.
the worst part is: he isn't the only one in the world who genuinely behaves like this. who believes their own lies and sucks themselves into despair trying to blame it all on others. it happens every day, across many games, across many players who waste their lives trying to make other lives as miserable as possible just for the sake of wanting to be right all the time. even in less toxic games, there are STILL some people who will even deliberately try to drive you off of a game permanently through as much mental abuse as possible. if suicide prevention services and similar had legal authority, and could arrest people for endangering people's lives via their mental health, millions would be arrested every single day, I reckon.
@@GarkKahn you want to experience the complete opposite? try Deep Rock Galactic, that game has next to no toxics, and there is a 99.9% chance that whenever you join a game, the people in it will be friendly.
1:22 ... the starcraft reference. single player games. the idra early GG vs MMA ... a truly knowledgeable reference. i've always liked your channel but now I'm subbed. respect!
At first this game was very fun so I didn't notice the amount of time it was taking. My grades were falling, I was in a terrible mood all the time and personal relationships started getting affected. When some of my college mates started dropping out and getting dumped by their partners, I realized that I was addicted and that the cost was just too high. The stories I kept hearing were the stories I had heard of people who got consumed by WoW.
There is a kind of "birds of a feather" thing going on with this, one's personality is shown in what type of character they like to play (Tho' it's usually not this extreme). There was a survey on WoW in relation with players' personality and their class and race choices years ago, the results showed the most friendly and laid-back players were the ones playing the Tauren race, which is a big, goofy, cow-like creature and the least friendly players were playing Undead, more specifically Undead Rogues..
@My Next Trick I played and mained renekton, sion, nocturne, trundle, etc. I really loved the game and wasn't toxic, I'd grief teemo mains and Brazilians(many of whom were the toxic players in game to begin with)
As someone who had to quit Splatoon because I recognized how toxic I could be when I lost, it breaks my heart to see this. Your life is worth so much more than a game. You don't need to be good at a game to be worth something, or to have a meaning in life. Your life is so much more precious and valuable than that. You're a living, breathing human being--composed of countless tiny cells that all work in unison. You have a heart, a spirit, and a soul. You have a family and a heritage and a place where you're from. You're a real person, not some artificial identity crafted on the internet via an ultimately pointless video game. A simple game is _never, ever_ worth the self-inflicted shame that repeatedly tearing down others and yourself continually brings. You're just making yourself and those around you miserable. All the hurt you wish on others--all that terrible, horrible pain--is not nearly as great as the loneliness, self-loathing, and misery in your own heart. Video games are supposed to be fun and enjoyable, not vectors for a cycle of toxicity. If you're not enjoying a video game, then what good is it anymore? I hope and pray that Shaco someday realizes that he doesn't need LoL and seeks the professional help he so desperately _does_ need. There's no shame in that. It's not too late. It's never too late.
I think this video also highlights the addictive madness that many multiplayer games have become. People with terrible hard drug addictions don’t always get withdrawal symptoms as bad as the reactions these games cause
I'm sure alot of devious developers, especially when alot of money is involved, will aim to play on the same reward receptors. Addiction really is an epidemic, I wonder if there are different ways it can be treated.
@Just Chill I get where you are coming from but you are wrong. Not everyone is strong, and just like drug producers take advantage of the vulnerable, theres companies pumping in tons of money into developing the most addictive product they can make. They release these products not caring about the harm they do to weak people who easilly fall into their traps. Yeah, at the end of the day people are responsible for their choices, but these are severely influenced by personal history, personality, mental health and many other factors. But I totally get you, I probably thought the same thing when I was your age. You give people too much credit man, most folks have just enough brain cells to not shit themselves when they wake up every morning.
I've never understood toxic gamers. I never will. Even if someone explains it to me, I am so far removed from their mindset that it just doesn't compute. Like that one Russian guy once said: "It's only game, why you have to be mad?" And those are words to live by. Or at least to game by. Zero respect for people who vent by telling others to die.
They're mad because they want to enjoy the game but can't, be it due to bad teammates, the game just not being fun, etc etc etc And venting that frustration is people's way to deal with it But I guess basic logic is too hard for you
@@some_shitposting_idiot3023 that says alot about you if you find that vitriolic mind state to be *basic logic* telling someone to die over a game is childish at best.. games are ment to be fun if they game makes you rage get a new one lol
@@some_shitposting_idiot3023 And clearly hyperbole is too hard for you to grasp. The comment you replied to is a condemnation of toxicity in games. Hyperbolic statements meant to show how ridiculous I think toxicity is.
The worst part of Arcane is it lures new people into LoL. And oh man its like chucking blood into water where there are starving sharks. Edit: Its funny how some people prove how toxic the culture is, even if its not yelling and screaming. Be wary of the micro-transactions in LoL okay? And dont feel pressured to buy a skin if you dont want to or cannot afford it. Learn to avoid the pitfalls of a new multiplayer game
anti leauge people are getting to be as annoying as the hogwarts legecy people though... in many cases they are often the same people. Same polotical ideology. Im tired of people calling me the scum of the earth and such if I say i play league at all. So the antis are just as bad..
anti lol people are argueabely worse. you hate people for no other reason then the clout you get for "dunking on leauge players" and alot of your retoric is just as bad if not worse than the subject of this videos. I've been called sub human. parasite. incel so on and so forth. Had my job threatened irl in the past when a coworker in the staff house saw me playing league and in their termenly online brainwashing figured I must be a toxic person and toxic employee. and so went to the manger and stated that. A manger who also thinks leauge = horrible person. So I got targeted for every little mistake no matter how small. Anti leauge people are not better by proxy you are just as much scumbags as the people you harass.
@@JDReC100 I mean no doubt. But Im more on the side of The game is predatory in how it is designed And the community is pretty toxic, mainly because they choose to be so and and! This is pretty important Once again the design of the game incentivises it. However I am not gonna call someone the scum of the earth for liking the game
I am someone who has played video games basically since i was 10 years old and now i am 26, who has had a long standing with anger management issues in games (used to play call of duty and still play league of legends, so that should know what kind of child i was), where i could literally get so angry that i would spout insanity and hate speech to my opponents, or allies if they were "in the way", or when i broke my hand in anger by punching a concrete pillar in rage. And even with all of this happening in my early teenage years, it baffles me that people can still hold that kind of anger in these types of games. There are so many "tools" to make sure that other peoples toxicity can not get to you, like in league of legends you can full mute people (and have been able to for many years) in call of duty you can also mute people. Of course you can get angry at a certain persons playstyle in cod, or how someone behaves in league or whatever, and i still get annoyed nowadays when we have someone who dies 3 times on lane and then griefs other lanes or goes afk, etc. but for it to affect you so much that you wish literal death upon another person or their loved ones, just because they did not perform to your standard (which in most cases the person flaming is not even doing well himself/herself) is insane. If you like playing the games, but hate the way people act in some games, then mute everyone and everything. There is no reason to increase your chances of a heart attack over a sweaty little 15 year old child screaming at you from the other side of the globe. Deafen/mute/hide chat or whatever other options there is out there, enjoy your favorite games, and don't give yourself a mental illness over a video game. This is spoken from someone who used to be like Shaclone back in my "hayday" of trash talking on the internet. Don't let the opinions and trash talking of others affect your gameplay or your mental health. Take care of yourself, don't let children ruin your gaming experience or ruin your favorite video game. Take care, and have a good one.
As someone who has dated multiple people who have played league, I always asked them “why do you play a game you hate so much?” Because I could see the toxicity spewing from the player base, but could not understand the addiction factor. It is wild to feel like you’re being cheated on with a game. I’m not talking about playing a couple of hours a day, I’m talking waiting through 5-8 hours of game play so I could have 30 minutes of their undivided attention.
they can only get value from those games, everytime they got pissed but still keep playing is the mindset that the next match would be better, i used to trapped in that mindset, but then i realized even next match its better, so what? its just a video game, if it doesn't make you happy in general, let it go, change to a new game or do some real life activity or something. sadly most people cant even understand that.
the worst part is that there's so much content out there that makes fun of girls and show how cool someone is for choosing a video game over their significant other.
Interesting video. I used to love playing Age of Empires and I loved multiplayer when I was a teen. Then I tried again about 2 years ago as an adult - of course, my skills had gotten worse but I thought I could catch up again to what I used to do. But the sheer toxicity of online games really overwhelmed me! It was not what it used to be 20 years ago. Peaple then would play for fun, would play to help and grow others. Now, not a kind word is said in any context. Seriously disappointing!! I hope it changes - but I'm sure it wont.
This hits too close to home man. I am 30 years old, a dad, a husband, and I am also addicted to league of legends and been playing since 2010. I have stopped playing as much since my son but still play as much as my wife will let me. I still blame my team and other a lot of my mistakes and gameplay and can see it under the right circumstance but my mental doesn't let me accept that I am not as good as the person who beat and accept that is okay. but videos like this really help because I don't want to be that guy. I want to be someone that can accept my faults and work to improve them. I want to be someone who is doing things in life that make my family and I happy and yes when I play league with my friends I do have fun but when I grind rank alone I am basically torturing myself. Thank you for this video, it was really an eye opener and I cringed at myself for seeing myself in his actions.
@@roguis3451 I do that too but I like playing the same champ and love the competitiveness of ranked. But again. It’s a toxic relationship with league so you still right.
I started lol since 2014 and tried to quit it many times. Now i am like 1 year clean and even though i can't say for sure the reason why, but i guess that i don't see lol as a bad experience but as a game that is fun and it gave me one the best times of my life. Maybe if you change your view on Lol and just see it as too good to be held you may not being dependent on this game. I wish you the best and for your family!
@@khier-eddinehennaoui9783 thank you! Ya I think I have an addictive personality in genera. With weed I smoked it a lot before my son and I wisdom say I was addicted and did it excessively to the point it badly influenced my life. So I do think it’s a me issue not a league issue.
This guy was my favourite streamer back when I started playing League so many years ago! I picked up Shaco and found this guy's stream and really liked his different playstyle. Back then he barely spoke. Over time his attitude really went downhill until I couldn't bare to watch him anymore..
I never would have guessed you were ever a LoL player, with the way you carry yourself in your videos here and in your other channel. That part really hit me hard, as I was on the onset of an addiction myself. I did not want to be that person that I became because of it. I had to change for my mental and physical health. I think you could help a lot of people with a video dedicated to addiction in the context of video games. You've lived it yourself, you've seen what it does, learnt what to look out for, and most importantly, you've found your way out. Your experience could be very valuable! Though, I understand that it would somewhat stand out given the current focus of your channel, and maybe hurt your numbers. But, eh, maybe on another channel, or in collaboration with another one?
I've been playing league for almost 10 years, i just remember the days when i couldn't wait for school to end just so i could play games and test out new champions, nowadays I don't emjoy the game and the direction it's going but I still play it because I'm also addicted, I don't flame anyone, in fact I turned off chat about 3 years ago but I still coudn't enjoy the game even when i was winning. This video showed me the potential danger awaiting me if I don't stop playing this game and I quickly unistalled it afterwards. Wish me luck guys I hope i can quit it for good this time
if you need any game recommendations, I can provide some for pretty much any genre (except for grid-based tactics games, I don't play those much) trust me, there's much better (and much less toxic and addictive) games than League, and I might be able to point you in the right direction if you have a specific genre in mind.
@@pillowmint4622 people who mostly play league really has no interest on other games. When they quit, they just drop gaming at all or just find another competitive online game.

This hit hard. At one point, I was turning down an invite to join CLG's backup roster waaaay back in the day (i chose love like a moron). And then hit a low point in my personal life that overshadowed my gaming life. Poisoning my gameplay in WoW, LoL, and many other games. I took a long break from most of those games. I now play them again. But, I'm much more casual and make more efforts not to allow negativity to permeate my gameplay. I even casually stream a bit now. So, to see this man NOT step back and look at himself and answer to his own choices. Is like looking at an alternate universe for me. I appreciate the time and effort you put into this video. It was a fascinating thing to watch and reflect on.

@@Jabarri74 right - speaking as a former heroin addict, you have to genuinely want to get better before you can get better. That's where the willpower comes from as far as I can tell. I don't think the guy even has the capacity to realize he has a problem in the first place. Addiction is treatable... narcissism? Not so sure about that. Some solid life advice in the original comment there - shame this Shaclone guy seems to think he's too good for good stuff like humility and personal responsibility.
Shaclone and Tyler1 were both toxic and were banned by Riot. But while one of them learned his lesson and became a well respected streamer, the other didn't and hit rock bottom.
But tyler1 wasnt banned just for being toxic toh. I agree he changed for the better but he wasnt banned just for the flaming and toxic behaviour. Do you rember the callouts made to riot for the state of the game?
Many players had this turn around. Tyler back in the day was the pinnacle of a toxic player, god knows how many dozens accounts he got banned. Same thing with RatIRL, he used to be as toxic as Shaclone is, wishing cancer on people every game. Multiple players who have been on the verge of ID bans at one point made it into actual League pro play where fans love them. All these players recognized that they are the problem and they can't go on like this, and today, they are very successful and respected streamers, creators, pro players. Shaclone is.. well... just a clown. He will never learn.
Kira I hear you. I have addiction problems myself and I have also moved on. I've had to cut people out because I was getting better while they were still using and were toxic. I feel the same guilt you do.
@@xeldinn86 you OK fam? Need to talk? I was never high ranked but playing League got me through a very rough patch in my life. What you said about League giving your life value, I can really relate to that. It’s obviously not healthy and I was able to move on. But if I didn’t find League to distract me and put all my time into instead of giving in to my dark thoughts, I wouldn’t be here right now. To me its so ironic, that people like shaclone tell other players that their brain is rotten, but if you show his clips to a person outside of the league bubble, one can clearly tell, without a doubt that his mental health isn't just bad, its entirely gone
What is fascinating is that LoL shows the worst sides of humanity on the internet, and Valorant has the polar opposite experience for me. I recently got back in and often get random people in my team who are uncannily supportive. Also isn't it funny that these people think of themselves as important enough to be worth so much effort for Riot.

Homie inspired me to Shaco jungle back in the earlier seasons of LoL, and unfortunately he was also the cause of my quitting the game. His toxic reputation made Shaco Jungle players look like an auto-throw (albeit some players had no idea what they were doing) to some teammates, and others just immediately would dodge the queue if you locked Shaco jg. no, the vast majority of ppl are stupid, braindead consumers without producing more value (I'm including every aspect you can think of, not just financily) than they consume/deserve to consume. More and more want privileges and rights, but almost no one wants the responsibility or to put in the actual work or having actual skills. So, yes wishing death on some % of the population - ironically, is not a bad thing. Shaclone is just doing it on a pretty surface level though. Some ppl deserve to die and everything is connected. One example: most ppl if I give them suddenly a ball and command them to dribble through 2 cons, they won't have the coordination and reaction for it - yet, the very same (most) people are allowed to drive (legally) 1, 2, 3 tons machines where coordination + reaction is everything - which turns them into potential death machines driven by not enough skilfull operators. Which is why the major % of auto crashes is human mistakes. They shouldn't be allowed to even drive in the first place, yet they're allowed. The same goes for numerous other things. Won't write, it would be too long. Society is stagnant and there are limited ways it can progress but to simplify it even more I will brake it down to 50-50: Hard or an easy way. Hard way is another World War to clean the population and humanity to learn some lessons. Easy way is global thinking and the majority of humanity evolves to finally start to work together, putting aside petty differences, working better + more together on a global scale plus down to close 100% of every single individual IQ going higher, actively seeking progress + developing skills on every level. imo - 1st way is more possible, 2nd one is close to sci-fi currently and for the near future.
