I am 66 years old and like most people my age I am having to deal with the multiple health issues. It is so sad that not only does he have to battle normal aging problems but on top of everything else, he has to deal with this as well.
Have watched very cute/handsome and talented MJF ever since Family Ties in the early 1980s and I remember him saying that when first starting out with his career making Family Ties and Back to the Future back to back he was smoking a lot i.e. a nicotene addiction, drinking alcohol, another addiction and known carcinogenic along with smoking and eating nothing but boxes and boxes of Krafts Mac and Cheese which is loaded with chemicals, artificial colors, flavors and high processed crap! Along with all the severe pressures of the entertainment industry getting to the top and then the huge pressures of staying on top along with the very long hours of working, it shouldn't be surprising to anyone that he got sick with Parkinson's disease, another auto-immune disease, a chronic illness like MS like I've had for over 30 years. Only mine was in remission for around 20 yrs until it was diagnosed by an MRI! Some of my symptoms have gone away,, but I have other known symptoms and it gets worst with flares esp due to the severe heat even living in the north! I eat a very strict, mostly organic whole foods diet and that has helped! Smoking can't help and thankfully I've never smoked and don't drink alcohol anymore since I'm on a couple of meds for HBP, another symptom of MS! Have never been on meds for MS because they didn't work. Do people realize that smoking one cigarette changes the 500 chemicals in nicotene to 700 chemicals? Most auto-immune diseases affect women than men and researchers in the UK have linked MS another neurological disease way back to the Vikings, more prevalent also for people living in the north, above the 37th parallel and due to lack of sunshine! Why we need to take much needed Vit D3 with K2! Many doctors say "change your lifestyle" to prevent diseases, like diet, avoiding stress, toxic relationships, etc. Unfortunately, many prescription drugs also have negative side effects and that may be another reason he has suffered more! Ongoing health issues can stress one out and prematurely age one if life style changes aren't made! Kudos for Tracy for giving up her career in acting to help take care of her husband and children as they grew up, a huge sacrifice on her part! A strong marriage indeed! Wishing them and their family much luck!
Thank you so much for sharing this information. I've had Type 1 Diabetes for over 36 years. It's an autoimmune illness that usually begins affecting children and young adults. It's a brutal illness. Stress, tension and toxic people can kill us easily and quickly...
Michael J. Fox did not have a recurring role on the show Family but appeared on there one time. I'm surprised you didn't talk more about his role as Alex P. Keaton on the show Family Ties which is the role that made him famous.
Four cast members from the TV series, "Leo & Me", which was filmed in Vancouver, all developed Parkinson's disease, which is hard to believe when you think about it. I heard the four cast members were all shooting heroin at the time, and they may have gotten a bad batch, but who knows for sure!
WHAT? What is this guy talking about? None of this true. He didn't have a big rock star addiction. None of the shows and movies ive NEVER heard of! They are missing a whole bunch of tv shows and movies. It's like the narrator didn't do his research. This is one of the worst videos. Got all his background wrong.
