The more restrictions there are the more rebels you create. The kpop industry is far too controlling. Nobody should be encouraging the industry to maintain and create more rules. Don't complain about idols being overtly sexy or the increase of profanity being used on stage and in their music just to turn around and support Korea's controlling nature. If they don't cave to the pressure of being perfect while they're young they'll most definitely go wild when they get old enough to assert some type of agency in their life. There is nothing idols nor companies can do about accusations like that until they've already blown up to this degree, and now even if those accusations are proven false in a court of law, thanks to these armchair judges on the net that believe anything anybody says like it's gospel this guy has just had his whole life ruined. Now even if everything is 100% proven false, that's it. His career is ruined, his life is over because now his name is associated with pedophilia accusations. He wouldn't even be able to get a normal job with his name being tainted so much even if every accusation was completely fabricated. All of which could have been avoided and cleaned up real quick if there was a blanket firm dating ban. He'd still have his career and he wouldn't be in this shit regardless of whether he actually did it or not. So yeah, there should be a dating ban, and for good reason... To prevent situations like this. Imagine if there was and the staff could prove his every movement? The accusations would immediately be proven to have no merit, legal action would be extremely swift with heavy punishment, and he'd still have everything. The same reason as to why idols should be forced to stay in a dorm.. Because if they did you probably wouldn't see so many idols committing suicide as somebody would pretty much always be around.

@@Peikkey Then the no dating should be turned into an absolute blanket ban for reasons I already gave. We wouldn't have dating scandals like this at all then. From what I've seen from testimony from former idols and idol trainees, in their case it was absolute no dating, like they said they would have their phones completely taken away, not allowed to have socials, were not allowed to interact with groups of the opposite gender or anybody that wasn't their staff, separate waiting rooms, etc. They said it was nearly impossible for them to slip notes even because dating was so banned.

same tbh i was never into his songs because i dont generally like love songs and just like fast paced happy songs about love so yk never rlly paid too much attention to that mostly i only know him because i watch keep running (he wasnt rlly funny either and tbh i wouldn't watch a show for him specifically but his interactions with other mcs were fun and he was wholesome and nice but i never rlly paid attention to him by himself) neutral is the best way to go imo 👍 for me he just kinda exists and thats it lol

To be fair, even tho I'm not his fan, I stayed neutral. I believe that he didn't force the girl for abortion, but a suggestion was definitely done, and the girl accepted it. He's still young, and seeing how his mom is involved, pretty sure his mom handled most of the wiping his ass part. The settlement amount promised was given much less, prolly his mom's doing. BUT recently he said in his concert in KL Malaysia : "I also have needs." made me lose all the respect for him. It shows that he still thinks he did nothing wrong, or don't even know what he did wrong. The issue wasn't about him having sex with someone (his needs). Nobody cares if he have sex or not. Problem is as a celeb, he knew that he didn't want a baby but yet he chose not to use a protection and then agrees for abortion (not forcing). Means he knew the risk and took it because he knows he thought he can get away with it. Its just so not responsible at all. Yes, you want sex is fine, but use protection, if don't want protection, don't just use money to initiate abortion (even if its legal in China). I can't believe people still support him and he still hold concert. Imagine you or your daughter getting impregnated (voluntary) then told to get abortion (not forced). Even though its not legally wrong, its just so unethical. And he holds concert 2 months after the scandal, shows that he literally have no shame or don't think he did anything wrong. Why can't he just use condoms if he really needs sex and don't wan any kids right now? No sense of responsiblity at all, but no surprise since hes still 25 only and chose to let his mom handle everything (which made things worse). Its totally different from having needs.
