everyone kills everyone for food. its normal. an elphant, rhyno, hippo any large animal with massive power will kill a lion very easily if provoked. i sometimes feel sad but everyone has to eat. even. do you eat cow, chicken, fish? its life.

It’s been said that hyenas don’t have the strength to subdue their prey by suffocation. So they have to eat it alive. It’s horrible I know. I always have a visceral reaction whenever I see this. But I understand it’s nature. 😢 What’s annoying though, is the way they always seem to appear after others have just made a kill. They seem to stalk their competitors, then lie and wait to pull a pirate move.

I find it quite funny that disney always portrays Hyanas as stealing a-holes and lions as victims and heros, even though it is the opposite. Lions constantly steal pray and kill leopards, Hyanas etc.

@@HarrisonHollers no it’s because of the lives that lions live… imagine being born into a family then when you reach 16 you literally get dashed on the street no food or family maybe if you have brothers you’ll have them but your alone and have to literally fight and kill other people just to eat and survive and hunt for food until you take over another person household and then you have the constant threat of other coming to do the exact same to you. That’s why they are held in high regards because no other animals live the lifestyles of lions. Plus When you see videos of hyenas killing lions it’s about 10/15 maybe more but when you see the roles reversed it’s about 2 maybe 3 lions taking on more than one hyena.

Even if the lions don't finish them off, the hyenas have already sustained heavy injuries. Either from loss of blood or starvation, cause they're too crippled to hunt, they will die a cruel, slow death.
