And this is only for the people unemployed over more than two years. If you loose your job [without your own fault] you get nearly 70% of your last years netto income for up to a year. After that year it is declining. Nobody has to become a criminal because of being hungry, cold or sick. So, we have less desperate people, doing less desperate things, which could end in being shot by the "loose cannons" of the police force. We knew he was innocent and thought he would be released after the 33rd day with no charges being filed but due to covid all normal judicial proceedings were suspended. He had a lawyer up until his death.
