Family Guy is a lot of things but it completely respects its voice cast. When the voice actor for Angela died there was an episode about Angela dying and there was a eulogy about her but the eulogy was more for actual voice actor than the character in the show. The eulogy is funny but also sweet and touching at the same time with Peter ending it by saying “I may have lost a boss, but heaven has gained a princess”. That genuinely makes me cry every time I hear it
_Family Guy_ shows a lot of shock values, cutaway gags, and action-pack moments, but when it comes to voice actors, the show know its priorities and put those aspects aside for respect.
I always kind of loved how Simpsons Adam West and Family Guy Adam West look extremely similar, while the real guy didn't really look like either of them
ill forever remember toadsworth for this one video i watched as a kid where it was a murder mystery mansion thing with mario plushies, and toadsworth turned out to be the true killer, he was then brutally murdered by the remaining characters, i assumed he went away because he got killed by them.
I’m in a fraternity and each semester we draw names out of a hat and paint and decorate a paddle for that person. My brother that got me knew I loved Adam West and Rodger from American Dad so he painted them on my paddle and it’s now one of my most prized possessions
At this rate this series is going to be surpassing the number of DOAWK books. Anyway, still holding out for Paint Roller, aka the Kirby boss I suggested awhile ago.
I got another lost mario character koopa kid basically he was bowsers underling in the mario party series but when bowser jr came around he was still there until mario party ds where he was replaced.
@@zeepsterdalso I think mega man voltnutt is another good suggestion he was the main character of the mega man legends series had 2 main games, a spinoff, and 3 mobile games, then at the end of legends 2 he was trapped on the moon never to return because legends 3 was canceled his last playable in tatsunoku vs capcom which was 14 years ago people still 10 years after legends 3 was canceled still want him and love him
I never knew Fregley becomes obscure as the series progresses, regarding that his lack of hygiene and the "boogie" he's holding makes him an obstacle that Greg wants to step out of the way, and can't blame Greg that he's gone now (at least in the books). At least in the movie, Freg got exactly what he wanted -- a friend to stick around with (Greg and Rowley). This shows that Greg in the live-action movie does have a better character development and a best closure than the book.
There’s actually a good reason Fregley stopped appearing and the bc of the most recent books plots themselves. They all focus on a small group of characters like one about Greg being on a basketball team and one about him hanging out with Roderick’s band. Even Rowley hasn’t had many appearances I can think of.
Suggestion for part 17/18: Sven Hoek(Ren and Stimpy) - Ren's cousin who only had a major role in one episode, appeared in the backround only for the rest of the series
It’s sad that Toadsworth hasn’t appeared in over a decade, he used to be so prevalent in the Gamecube era; also wait FREGLEY WAS MISSING I DIDN’T EVEN REALIZE I THOUGHT HE WAS IN EVERY BOOK
IDK if you'll do this DOAWK character but there was apparently a pet pig that manny won in the long haul. This pig would continue to appear in the books until the meltdown where it was revealed that the pig was upset with the heffley family not bringing it on their vacation that it began causing a ruckus, causing susan to resort to sending it to obedience school, and it breaking out, never to be seen again. I've heard theories in wrecking ball (or maybe its a diff book i dont remember cuz I dont have any of the recent ones after meltdown) where manny was secretly taking care of the pig as something that resembled the pig was in manny's pile of toys on a page, but that might've been a stretch (plus, if the pig escaped and was never seen again, how could manny somehow just... have the pig again?). IDK just a random idea I had for a lost character
When it comes to characters that haven’t seen the light of day in years, the first thing that comes to mind are Br’re Rabbit, Br’re Fox, and Br’re Bear. While not commonly associated with its origin franchise, Song of the South, the Br’res appeared in multiple ways throughout Disney’s life. Heck they even got an extremely popular ride in the parks called Splash Mountain! But ever since 2020, the Br’res have been absent due to controversy, and now since both Mountains have been closed for over a year, we will most likely never see them again in the states. Thankfully, while restricted, Splash Mountain still lives on in Japan.
Captain N the Game Master (Kevin Keene) is definitely a lost character that has his own cartoon and comic series. He was like Sora from Kindom Hearts but for Nintendo and video game ip's. There was a pitch for Captain N to be rebooted but was shot down by Nintendo and all we got was an (beautiful) animatic.
I think Fregley was cut because he was (perhaps unintentional) offensive autistic representation, like genuinely almost all of his traits and escapades can be traced back to autism in some way or another (even the time he took his clothes off in book 4).
I suggest nick LE from inanimate insanity who was used as a joke when some commenters wanted to vote out a character named nickel to be eliminated from the show but they misspelled his name to say nickle instead of nickel the creators wanted to make a joke about this misspelling so they made nick LE who was a human like character who would say “I’m highly offended” because he never competed in the show yet people still voted for him but turns out later in the series the host finds out those commenters tried to vote for nickel instead of nick LE and nickel was eliminated nick LE would appear for a couple times more even got referenced in the pizza episode of season 2 if you turn on captions and I know they no longer used voting from the commenters and just had the contestants vote but nick LE was still a character and never showed up even in the final episodes where other backround characters reappeared for example a character named Tyler bungard had a relative appear named Tyler bombard showing that the creators would still acknowledge another character from season 1 also another character who was a teddy bear is said to come back in future episodes but it just seems like the creators just forgot about nick LE
Toadsworth is not forgotten by nintendo i suggest you watch the video gamexplain made about him like so what if he was cut from the movie he was not the only character that got cut plus he could still appear in the sequle
Donkey Kong Jr is also technically a lost character. I say this because it’s like what happened with Toadsworth in the Mario Movie. He’s Cranky’s son and Donkey Kong’s father, making DK DK III. But in the Mario movie, he’s now been retconned as Cranky is now DK’s father, not grandfather. He has appeared in the last WarioWare game but still should mention it
Technically Prince Hans from Frozen is a semi-lost character. His last appearance in anything Frozen related(video games don't count)is Frozen Fever and A Frozen Heart, which were released in 2015.
A lost character could be lord vortech from Lego dimensions. In the post credit scene it is shown he returned sort of and the cliffhanger was never solved. Maybe he could be in multiversus as a big villain. But nonetheless lord vortech is a frogoten character.
I have a suggestion for Vol. 17 or 18, Squilliam Fancyson from Spongebob, He was Squidwards rival in the show who hasn't appeared since Back to the Past from season 7 not including appearances from games or cameos, And even if counting cameos his last appearance was a framed photo in season 11s The Check Up.
Suggestion(s) -Fanny Cottontail, a character from the first few Disney Oswald The Lucky Rabbit cartoons (yeah, ik you've already covered him) who was Oswald's original love interest, who was later replaced by Oswald's wife, the cat character Ortensia (then known as Sadie) starting with the now lost cartoon “The Banker's Daughter” and has rarely (if ever, to my knowledge) been acknowledged by Disney outside of historical media since they reacquired the rights to Oswald -Rolling Turtle, an obscure miniboss from (and only ever appearing in) Kirby's Adventure who would grant the now obsolete “throw” copy ability, who was replaced in the game's remake by the identical in behavior miniboss Phan Phan for no apparent reason and would never be acknowledged ever again. He hasn't even appeared in any Kirby media outside of KA, no appearances in obscure mangas, official artwork or anything like that
I predict that Toadsworth WILL appear again, either in Jamboree as a host or playable character, or in Brothership as a quest character or appears in general,
I’d also be willing to bring up Chirag from Wimpy Kid. Like Fregley, I just say him in the first few books and I think he stopped appearing after Last Straw. Also imagine Fregley taking on the Mingo kids and Nasty Pants. I’m betting that Toadsworth got married to either Zess T. or Lady Lima and retired to somewhere offscreen
I may be having a Mandela effect but i swear the last time i saw fregley was when greg started manipulating into doing his insane actions and take credit for it. I remember at the end of the book gregs plan actual backfires and accidentally helps greg to give him actual friends and fame since the school saw him as a stuntman. So if i remember correctly. Fregley's arc has basically been concluded since his main goal was to gain friends. I think it might've happened in book 8
wait wait The Freedom Fighters from the Sonic series would be like perfect for this. That or any other American character from the cartoons and comics like Wes Weasley for example
I miss the side characters of doawk, glad the LLBS of LodedDiper still have them (I created a holly one called the bachelorette) It’s weird that Fregley went away because he was mostly apart of the “trio” people focus on doawk, Greg rowley and Fregley
A cool one from the Plants vs Zombies franchise (very epic btw) are Crazy Dave's brothers, Evil Dave, and Brave Dave. And both characters are exclusively in the CHINESE PvZ games!
here's my theory, toadsworth has passed away after his many years of service at the mushroom kingdom so before he sadly passed he gave his position to one of the toads in the mushroom kingdom that did the most good deeds for it and that's what the blue toad is.
@zeepsterd again, any character in archie sonic. It ran for 25 years ad the longest running comic based off a game just for litteral main characters to disappear overnight. Most notably is sally acorn, a character that has appeared in over 300 comics, multiple TV shows and has canonically had kids with sonic in a future timeline
Well, I actually do have a lot. A few lost characters, one being Squidward, arch-nemesis from SpongeBob. What else I mean? I have two of them that they forgot in spongebob, but hopefully you get these ones in the next missing characters
I don't know if you've watched this show but with American Dad there's this character named Principal Lewis has a daughter. But unfortunately she ONLY appears in one episode!
You should talk about Francis from fairly oddparents, his last apperence was in season 7 in the episode "dad overboard" he disappeared randomly with no explanation
The comics still talk about them. I think some lost characters could be queen aleena, Sonia and manic. I remember a fan game was made and so many people where like "who is this OC?" When looking at manic.
In a future video, could you talk about Evangelist from Gorillaz? They were a character designed in a fan contest but never made a part of the Gorillaz storyline. Apparently, they were to represent everything great in life, the opposite of the Boogeyman character, who represents everything negative or bad. They didn’t get to be a part of the Plastic Beach story because of budget issues the writers and artists had to deal with.
If you wanna talk about Lost Characters we have Rocky from Happy Tree Friends, Fruity Yummy Mummy from the Monster Cereals, Bomb from inanimate insanity, King Smoothcheeks (aka the Original King Pig) from Angry Birds, The Penguin band from Club Penguin, Mr. Scatterbrain, Mr. Stubborn, Little Miss Calamity and Little Miss Daredevil from the Mr. Men Show, and even tho he isn’t lost Tony Eagle Eyes from Skatoony
for next lost character list, you should do may from mainline pokemon anime aka the ash era as she was forgotten as a background character due to her Japanese voice actress having a uncurable condition where it caused the strain the thoat which caused her to quit voice acting in 2012 and they can't replaced her Japanese voice actress with a new one as Japan strict voice acting policys where they only replaced the previous voice actors if they ended up passing away, quit voice acting completely, or get caught in a criminal scandal.
if i were to guess toadsworth was removed because of nintendo's wanting to feel "new" with potential character's that can be marketed like cappy, and having 2 training/exposition characters would be a lot, and making a 3d model for him constantly to be a waste of resources, another robability is that the original people that kept mario's continuity intact or tried to implement a story were gone, Miyamoto has a stigma/theory within the community for sabotaging the paper mario series and other mainline games because he doesn't want them to have a story he has a desperate old idea that Mario should be kept as simple as the original Donkey Kong era despite time changing and improving, if i remember correctly Rosalina's backstory was made in secret from the higher ups, In issue 225 of Nintendo Power, "Yoshiaki Koizumi explains he worked on Rosalina's Storybook late at night, in secrecy of the rest of the development team, as it was personally important to him. Over time, the story morphed into Koizumi hiding it from Shigeru Miyamoto personally". very likely the original writters or developers who kept some continuity alive must have left and the people who were hired to replace them had no idea of the original writters intentions and if they should add him or not or probably nintendo just made it harder for developers to add something similar to Rosalina's Backstory. In the end i think toadsworth no longer appeared because of the combination of, miyamoto and nintendo not wanting mario to be a set identity, the mario series marketability, the original writters are possibly not there or have been moved to other aspects of development, and modeling and creating assets are expensive for a 1 time character. honestly without toadsworth it feels very hollow when playing some of the games, i wish they just pulled a wrinkly kong atleast would explain his absence.
@@zeepsterd Also, can you include Otter from Franklin. Did you know her actress would eventually be Tilly Green from Big City Greens and Honoka Kōsaka in the English dub of Love, Live?
Can someone like duo or bondman from mega man be in the next one or voltnutt who was left at the end of legends 2 on the moon for the end of time because the 3rd game was canceled? The last time we see volnutt was in crossovers like tatsunoku vs capcom or random art.
I haven't read d.o.a.w.k in a while but I still remember freegly. It's hard to forget him. Also there was a few lost characters from warriors cats. Like silverpaw, ashfur, midnight and rock. The first 2 are only mentioned in the book or character list and don't come back in the original series. (And i mean shadowclan ashfur) Midnight and rock dont show up after i think the omen of the stars series.
If you do make another video about forgotten characters some you should talk about: Bimbo the dog (Fleischer Studios) X and FM (SMG4) Aj and Chester (Fairly Odd Parents) Trixie Tang (Fairly Odd Parents) Tatanga (Super Mario) Cackletta (Mario And Luigi) Skeet (Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius)
