@@superfreakmorris4251 I love that mix! What a sweetie! I have an aussie/hypochondriac mix, that had been on the street...she is like owning a fur covered mood ring, if you feel the least bit tired, or bored, down, whatever, she is on you, trying to make it better! She loves people and cats. We adopted a cat too, to give her something to take care of. We might have to get a herd of cats, or goats or something.

Given the things that he experienced into his life, calling it tragic? The way he adapted the early circumstances of his to what he became, its good to be the king.

I watched an interview from the Carson show recorded MANY years ago around the time Blazing Saddles came out. He was funny then and he's still funny! He and Mr. Rhiener Were brilliant together in the 2000 year old man. I liked the part of the bit where the 2000 year old man said that hutting your thumb with a hammer was a bigger tragedy than getting killed!

Mel Kaminsky has depths of character I don't think most people can appreciate. I've admired this man since he worked with uncle Milty. I'm 74 and full of cancer and if I was told I could meet anyone in the world I wanted to it would be Mel Brooks. I'll bet Ann Bancroft was in stitches every day of her married life! Stay safe Mel.
@christineparis5607
@christineparis5607 3 года назад
I'm 60, and my earliest memory of tv is watching his show (maybe reruns) with my older sister. She adored "Uncle Milty"!! Back then, as you know, it was black and white and we only had 3 channels! I remember "Get Smart" and some very badly cut up westerns. I was basically raised on westerns. No wonder I moved to Texas as soon as I grew up. It was all I knew anything about!

Mel worked for Sid Caesar. Not sure he ever did anything with Milton Berle. Your memory is fuzzy.

@@dmiller1000 I think his first comedy writing job was with "The Show Of Shows" which I think debuted in Calgary in about 1954 on CBC. That was a long time ago. My memory has a right to be 'fuzzy', it's 76!

I used to listen to comedy albums by the hour as a kid! Bob Newhart, Jonathon Winters, George Carlin, etc. I LOVED THEM, and grew up very with very ironic view of the world. My comments that are almost always based on the black, self deprecating humor of human nature, is always mistaken for something else. It's just because of the hilarious black view of the world I learned from so many incredibly talented Jewish comedians and others who followed in their footsteps...

So the best interview that I have seen of Mel Brooks was on Jiminy Glick. Jiminy made Mel Brooks take a break because he was laughing so hard. Jiminy cracked Mel Brooks up so hard that Mel Brooks had to call time out.
