A lot of the Disney Princess stories are adaptations of The Brothers Grimm stories. If you look it up the original stories are very morbid and wouldn’t make good fairytales for children. Most of the stories have no Mom due to them dying and a variety of reasons.

Merida has a mother sleeping beauty has a mother Rapunzel has a mother. Tiana has a mother a lot of Disney princesses at moms. Heck even Ariel is a mom.

Brave is centered around a mother daughter relationship and is technically Pixar. Aurora has a mother but one she never met...does that count? Rapunzel has two mothers - one she doesn't meet till after all the crazy and one that only wants her for her own gain. Tiana is about generational poverty and her relationship with her dead dad...again a dead parent...so...what is your point?

I always thought parents wouldn't let the vad things happen that way. Like if Mufasa doesn't die Simba grows up with no trama. If Snow White has a father, he protects her from his wife. If Cinderella has a father he protects her from her stepmother. If Sleeping Beauty grows up with her parents the curse is not as impactful. If Ariel has a mother she can soften her husband's heart. If Belle has a mom than she wouldn't allow her to take her father's place. If Jasmine has a mom its mote a Brave situation.

The article you show in the video says that parents were discovered by the maid, not workers from the studio like the voice over claims. Furthermore, this happened later in his career after he created several successful animations, including Snow White. He was already writing story lines featuring motherless children before this incident, so this whole video is baseless speculation.
