Jackie was too high on the pedestal for many to personally relate to. Lee was more down to earth...though both still were beautiful, classy, but of course of a higher class than most of us.

I know Christina Onassis paid her 20 Million in 1976. That is equal to about 100 million in today,'s money. The marriage to Onassis stopped her from needing Kennedy money. Jacqueline stole Onassis from her sister and got a big settlement after his death! The two very lucky kids ( Caroline and John/ RIP) did get post graduate degrees after Jacqueline pushed both to attend Law Schools!

The Kennedys bought Jacqueline a house when JFK was murdered ( 98% of the US Population buy their own house). Ari Onassis only wanted Jacqueline to get $ 200,000 ( good money in 2024/ more than US Congress Staffers) a year after his death. She would have gotten like 2- 3 million when she died in 1994. Jacqueline and a slew of top attorneys and Teddy Kennedy made Christina Onassis pay out the $20 Million ( Onassis worth 500 Million at his death in 1975). Jacqueline lived a fairy tale life. She traveled the world,lived in beautiful homes, sent her kids to the finest schools, and law schools. She did not deserve to see her husband killed,but she led a rare and rich life that 99.5% of the US Population will never live!

I remember my Catholic Church having a pamphlet featuring Jackie looking angelic on the cover entitled ‘How To Live As A Widow’. It was whipped off the shelf when she married Onassis!
