I kindof wish Leon kept that picture you can find in Luis’ lab, it’s genuinely so sad , you can tell all the lab workers were so happy and excited in the photo, and there Luis is in the middle of his team. Hopefully we can play as him in mercenaries mode because out boi deserves all the love
I felt so heartbroken when he died in the old re4 but the remake hit harder. It’s nice we learned more about him too and the fact he worked on nemesis.
One thing I really love about the three remakes so far, is how they all expanded the side characters (Leon, Ada, Claire and Sherry in RE2R, Carlos in RE3R, Luis, Ashley and Ramon in RE4R), really appreciate the effort went into writing!
Yeah, that came to mind when I was making this video as well. I love the expanded side cast that we have with the remakes. It makes the stories feel more grounded in their settings and I especially love how they feel more connected than ever before
@@omensoffate I think Capcom is at fault here and not the actress. They could've directed her much better but probably told her to act disinterested in Leon
The real crime is DC Douglas getting removed because his dumb ass broke his NDA with capcom. He was the best wesker and we probably aren’t gonna get him back for mercenaries.
Luis's death hit very hard, their depiction of losing a comrade in a life or death situation is stunning. The wave of emotions hitting you as you light his last cigarette, the atmosphere as you lay your hand on his chest as the life fades from his body, into the white screen of the end of the chapter. You're sitting there trying to process this, click next chapter, and it opens to your hand still resting on his chest. You say some final words. stand up, and its right back to it. No sad music, no cutscene of coping, just right back to the mission. For me it was a "oh shit this is reality" type moment. Even in such a far fetched story the character development in it is superb
Good point! It's a short but sweet moment that seems to last as long as it needs to without being too drawn out. I couldn't have asked this scene to be done any other way
I knew he was going to die the whole time and yet I still got choked up. The sheer injustice of it all is so tragic, because he truly deserved better. Who knew him getting a degree in biology would be what ended up killing him :(
As a kid when I played the original RE4 my uncle and I would say “oh no” & laugh because he basically dies by Sadlers dick As soon as the remake was available at 11pm my time, I instantly teleported to my ps5 to play LOL, after his death I stayed on the end chapter screen for a good 5 minutes just bawling my eyes out. Original Re4 holds a special place in my heart. I was 11 when it came out. It was the first RE game I beat by myself and I remember sitting on the couch in the living room watching my uncle play re4 over and over again to unlock weapons etc. when the news came out that re4 was getting a remake I sent all types of videos to my uncle. Last November he suffered from a brain aneurysm. He survived and amazingly recovered multiple surgeries and a stroke. I finished re4 remake in a little over a day and I called my uncle to talk about it. He doesn’t remember anything and it hurts. Luis was one of his favorite RE characters and I tried explaining to him how they do justice for his character & he was like “I’m sorry I don’t remember who that is” No one is going to read this ridiculously long comment lol but.. thank you so much for making this video. I know my uncle would love it if he remembered how much he admired Luis.
That is the sweetest comment I've ever received. Thank you for sharing that! I'm glad your uncle was granted the gift of life and I know if he could remember those days when you played the game together when you were younger, he'd love the new Luis and the time talking to you about it. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and that it gave you some space to reflect about your memories. Take care!
This is exactly what I wanted, a thorough video on Luis! Thank you for making everything concise. I would like to see a video done on Krauser and his motivations in RE4 Remake as well as his relationship with Leon and turning to work for saddler! Oh man so much lore i love it.
Luis in the remake was a GREAT character, while i loved the OG this one is just so much better. When he died in the OG i didn't really care, i mean he was great but he barely had any true relevance that i just couldn't bring myself to care a lot... but in the remake? i cried for hours. i'm literally finishing my ninth run on the game after doing all 4 difficulty speedruns, and boy whenever i see his final cutscene i start bawling like an actual baby. what a great damn character they made in this remake, his english VA did such a good job i'm impressed
Well its been confirmed tht Luis was infact part of umbrella Europe sixth lab dream team aka the team tht gave us the nemesis, the photo of him during his time as umbrella researcher pretty much says it
@@sherif956 i saw that in the remake, but i was little lost with his backstory for the original. I rushed to play the OG before the remake came out so if it was at all mentioned in 2005, i definitely missed it. Either way, i love how they tied each of the games together more concisely with the remakes
But capcom sure dropped the ball...again whn thy unceremoniously got rid of the series big bad (umbrella) instead of a flashback scene like in og,it's reduced to a simple sentence by Luis in the remake which is somehow..EVEN worse like, ffs capcom u had 18 yrs to fix tht shit,I swear its like capcom has a problem with chris, jill and umbrella aka the very characters tht started this whole mfin series !
March on, Señor Quixote! I wasn't sure about the "age down" and different voice given to the character for the remake when he was revealed in the first trailer, but I still fell for my favorite Resident Evil NPC just the same. Such intelligence, such charisma, and he gets more screen time in the remake's version of the story... I am a happy RE fan.
RE is my favorite franchise of all time, been playing since day one of og RE. There has only been two times in the series history I was genuinely bummed when someone died, Ethan being one and Luis being the other.
@@funmylife9248 Yeah they did well with him in this remake, but then again they did well all the way around. Capcom is one of the very, very few gaming companies still making games FOR gamers.
ever sense I was little and watched my sister play re4 I really liked Luis's character and was really sad when he died and that he really wasn't in the game much it's self, as I always wanted to know more about him as a person because they gave so little to the players in the original. seeing more of him in the remake and how they changed his death from being impaled by saddler to being stabbed by Krauser and not dieing immediately and having a few extra moments to reveal his true person. a man who wanted to be better and was scared of not being able to fix his wrong doings, his death in the remake hurt more and honestly made me feel sadder and hopeless not being able to save Luis, and Leon can't do anything to help except sit with him in his last moments.
Yeah, it was a difficult moment but was executed really well here. Definitely one of the stand out moments of the game. I greatly appreciate what Capcom did here with Luis
Great video man, really explains Luis character in detail. Shame he died before being able to write his wrongs but he will live on in our hearts. When i finally get my hands on the game ill dedicate a playthrough all to him.
And yes I know he's not a real person but Capcom really did a great job of fleshing out his character in this remake, so much so that I cant help feeling sad for his misfortunes. Thanks Capcom, and thanks Fun My Life for this great video!
Thanks for the awesome comments! I am glad you enjoyed the video and the game. I love how they portrayed Luis here in this remake and although we may never see him again in a future game, I am happy that we got more time to spend with him in this remake
Even though Luis worked for umbrella I think he redeemed himself in this game. He probably helped create some virus with umbrella but he also helped Leon save not just Ashley but also the United States from the plagas parasites. In the words of Leon: “you were a fine knight Don Quixote.”
@@funmylife9248 I agree. Especially considering how much doubt and negativity he felt after leading of Luis’ past. I’m always glad to see stuff like this turn around for the better
@@lucasvincent3021 Definitely nice to see the character come around and try to redeem themselves. I like to think that Luis never had the intention to partake in anything like this had he known it that would've sent the world spiraling out of control
Nemesis and perhaps Uroboros makes me believe Luis had alot of guilt and sadness from all the misery he caused, but at least he died knowing he got Leon as far as he did and got the senorita and the ballistics home safe, RIP you good for nothing ladies man 😔
I’ve seen luis dies multiple times even though the years in the original RE4 and barely felt like anything, he wanted to be changed man. After everything he has done. Now, remake has arrived i watched him die again in the remake, it was honest so much damn make sad. His last words were really hurt. Wanting affirmative that he had done it. The right decision thing for once. 12:30 lets not forget luis last words. I will never forget about him😢 i guess he is honourable character. And also he is my favourite character and voice actor. RIP Luis Serra. I believe in Luis can changed he tried to get off the island. To start over.😔
Lets be honest, while Ada saved Leon a couple of times, its thanks to Luis that Leon managed to not succumb to Las Plagas. Not only because he gave Leon the suppresant and the key and told him about his lab, but also because its because of Luis, that Ada was in that village to begin with. If Luis was another ganado, Leon would have succumbed, and be like Krauser. Another pawn for Saddler... but a powerful one. BSAA would have needed to deal with Saddler and his cult, inclhding both Krauser and Leon... and even Ashley lol
That's a really great point of the big picture behind this incident. Luis was vital in making sure Leon and Ashley would ultimately make it out ok and prevented this from becoming a widespread issue
I need a Luis run. Until his death. A dlc would be so cool. They really redeemed him in this remake and as someone who played both parts, i love the remake for doing this. In the OG i did not care about him but in this, I almost teared up man😅
Truthfully the guy who played Leon in Resident Evil Welcome To Raccoon City would've made a great live action Luis, now for the people who "misunderstood" me in not being racist at all but the actor really could pull off Luis
I felt the same way when luis got killed off, like some part of me is missing. And when leon said you were a fine knight, Don Quixote. That part hit me. He became my favorite character in mercenaries.
Luis isnt done… He changed his name and fought the devil in another video game called “Shadows of the Damned!!” 🔥🔥🔥🔥 very good game I never knew I needed it existed. Found it on GAMEPASS and enjoyed it thoroughly.
@@funmylife9248 It's certainly was an awesome experience, I had fun the entire time I played through, which is something I don't get often in a lot of games. The order I've played re series is also a bit weird, re5 - re 6 - re 2 - re revelations 2 - re 7. I haven't got the chance to play any of the remake yet, and since re4 re came, I thought I should play the original re4 (and see why it's praised so much among the community)... It was a wise choice 🙂
They should make it where Ada comes and saves him and really he didn't die and then they made a new Resident Evil with him in it telling more of story would be awesome everyone should tell them 👍
Yea he could be in coma and not really dead. Remember he passed out after the stab and cameback to save Leon. His death could be him going on coma again.
As someone who played the original RE4 at least 100 times, I KNEW his death was coming, even right before it did, but still....the way his character was reworked in this remake, I got really sad when the cigarette fell out of his mouth.
People don’t give resident evil enough credit, on the surface it’s just an over the top action horror zombie type game, but If you really pay attention to the world building and story telling and don’t take it at face value, There’s something so much deeper to it, there are lessons to learn from it and a crazy deep story to be told
Ah luis such a sad story. He really did have an impact. I was hoping this time he would make it off the island. He was very well developed and Voiced great. You literally can feel his sadness when he dies. Very well written. I think it’s safe to say We all loved Luis In re4 remake. He was the star. Poor luis 😢
I'm honestly flabbergasted at the fact that so many people don't know that U-3 is just the upper torso of Bitores Mendez that underwent further mutations
There's another connection no one is bringing up and it might be a good idea to make a video about it. since Louise worked on the nemesis project his also responsible for nemesis Ability to produce that parasite that would overtake zombies head on the Resident Evil 3 remake that had a whip like the Las plagues.
Could you do a video on lord saddler? After playing the game I still really don't know his story and exact reasoning for doing anything besides "ooh hive mind good"
I think Luis' scenes could've been written to make him appear smarter. As much as I like him as a funny and weirdly charming character, his background as a clever scientist type does not really come through beyond "I know how to remove the parasite"
I see what you're saying. I think Luis was probably just suppressing that genius side of him during his interactions with Leon. I think it served as a way to cope from his traumatic past as he was desperately trying to escape it. Showing a different side to his character (the more outgoing side) was a way for him to really feel like he has moved on
I love this remake and for the record I do not miss that U3 boss fight, I absolutely hated it and it was the only boss fight in the original game that really annoyed me. But that's my opinion
When I saw the picture of Luis in the lab saying dream team Europe division the gears where turning in my head hear me out luis is involved with code Veronica and will make a short appearance when Clair infiltrates umbrella 🤔
Fun My Life. Do you still play the PS2 Mortal Kombats? I forgot how fun they are. Remember The Krypt in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance? Shaolin Monks should've had a Krypt. Imagine if The Krypt had been a stage in the game! Imagine the stage fatalities you could do there! I miss The Warrior Shrine. I remember playing Mortal Kombat when I was 13 years old. I turned 43 today. What is your favorite Mortal Kombat game?
Hey dude! Yeah man, all the time. My favorite of the bunch was MK Deception. Although a lot of people didn't like the Konquest mode, that mode was one of my favorite ones. I liked how we could explore bits of each of the realms. It was a ton of fun and held a lot of secrets within it. My favorite Konquest mode was the one in Armageddon. I liked the action in there. Felt like a mini Shaolin Monks game. Shaolin Monks was a ton of fun with a friend. I still play that game a bit to this day. That would be cool to see the Krypt as an arena for the games. It would fit really well! Happy birthday! Hope you're having a great day. Man, my favorite MK game... That's a hard one to answer. I think I am most nostalgic for MK Deception for its crazy modes, the awesome stakes with their many tiers to them, environmental interaction and death traps, Hara-Kiri's 2 fatalities returning, etc. I prefer the combat of MK 9, personally. What about you?
@ Future Plays where is everybody getting Las plagas virus from?? it doesn't make sense to me how it's just out and about and able to get into a wolf), Luis's grand father just got rabies... but because of how primitive their village is they skipped straight to a superstitious and it cost Luis his beloved father figure life. Rabies would make a lot of sense given the symptoms do look very similar to the plaga, especially to an untrained eye. Plaga is only spread through inhaling spores in the mines where the villagers/workers were at under the castle excavating Las plagas. Or getting a plaga egg inserted in your body. It shouldn’t spread from being attacked by a wolf or another human.
I've watched Luis die several times throughout the years in the original RE4 and barely felt anything, but when I watched him die in the remake, it was honestly so damn sad. His last words really hurt. Wanting affirmation that he had done the right thing for once.
Hit it on the head right there. Definitely a sad way to go out, especially once you've pieced together his life's history. You could tell throughout every interaction with him that he was carrying a burden of his past, but his personality masked that pain wonderfully. Only then at the end did we find out that he was struggling a lot, and the various files we could pick up along the way did an excellent job of providing context to his character
@@a_cynical_mad_man_vods To me, it wasn't enough. At least not enough to feel anything for his death..when he gives Leon the reason why he did what he did, he should've been alive for another chapter or two to see a shift in how Leon views and communicates with him. He was funny, charming/likable through and through.
Yeah, I knew it was coming and it was still sad to part ways with him. He really provided that balance to Leon and his seriousness. Can't wait to play as Luis in the Mercenaries!
Same here, immediately after his death, I felt alone. No more talking and joking with Louis. No partner to help with boss battles either. That whole section was so well done. It makes you feel something
@@rickyfelan Well said -- it's definitely a testament to how well they expanded his character in the remake. I'm glad we were able to spend more time with Luis here and learn more about his life
Luis and Ashley were done soooo much better in the remake. I honestly felt sad to see him go, I really thought he'd make it through with how much screen time he was getting this time around. Great character development.
Can't say I agree. > Luis is better in most aspects, but... politically correct writing makes it feel like they're forcing him to stay between the lines, which doesn't fit his character, IMO. > Ashley was pretty much changed into a different character altogether. She's not a bratty college teen anymore spoiled by a rich daddy. No, instead she's just kind, good-hearted, etc... typical modern Hollywood trash writing. She's a female character without a single flaw in her personality. Leon was a complete jackass against her with many of his responses and rather than giving a snarky remark back, she was just confused as said nothing because that would destroy the perfect image they were going for. I like the way they tackled Ashley's gameplay better, but quite honestly I think they did her chararacter dirty. She isn't even Ashley anymore. And sure she's less annoying now. But that's also exactly huge part of what made her Ashley.
@@thenonexistinghero Honestly, not a great take when including Hollywood and Politically Correct in your reasons. Ignore that stuff and enjoy it for what it is, because I assure you, these are actually characters now. Ones that I'd love to see again. Poor Luis. I like both the original and the remake but the remake feels like less of an extended joke.
@@ShadowRyas348 You didn't say anything count counter my argument. Modern Hollywood movie writing is pretty terrible across the board and it's a known fact that the writing in most modern AAA Capcom games is no different in terms of presentation, writing, direction, etc. It's also about as politically correct as it gets. Every single reference to something sexual regarding the women is completely abscent in the remake. Ashley's upskirt, the ballistics joke, etc. You cannot assure me that they are actual characters now because you seem to know absolutely nothing about writing proper characters to begin with. Like I said, Luis is held back, though overal he might still be an improvement compared to before. Ashley however is not a character anymore. She's nothing more than a dime-a-dozen cardboard stereotype that has lost every bit of individuality that did make her an actual character. Maybe not a likeable one, but at the very least a real character with her own flaws and not a perfect character that doesn't have a single flaw and can do no wrong. She's about as mary-sue as it gets.
Luis was done justice in this game, it was so awesome to see him with more importance than before, can't wait for the DLC and I hope it's called "La Mancha"
@RickProduction They're gonna do a Luis dlc as well, it's likely to be called Operation Javier but here's hoping it has a reference to Don Quijote somewhere, maybe the title screen with Luis as Quijote and Leon as Sancho or a cosmetic of him with an armor
@@BillieDaKitty operation Javier was actually the operation that Leon and Krauser went on together you probably heard of it and thought it was Luis’s dlc or I just never heard of Luis’s dlc name.
@@s-boy4613 Yes, but I think it's more accurate to for me to say he only had a few very small acting credits to his name on IMDB. This was his first _serious_ acting credit.
What I like too about Luis is he goes against the “smart person” trope. He’s more than just a lab coat and some glasses. He’s funny, charismatic, courages and showed Leon that he too can change (as he was still dealing with the trauma of Umbrella as well). RIP Luis!
>Mother dies in birth >Grandpa dies at a young age >Accidentally helps in the creation of the worst bioweapon of all time >Accidentally helps turn his home village into a bunch of monsters >Only person who can help him is a bioterrorist who wants to use his creations to kill even more people What a lucky guy
Right? I love that about him. It's like he is personally trying to be more relaxed aloof to cope with the pain of his past. I think it fits him perfectly
Another thing I liked in the remake is Ashley's reaction to Leon telling her that Luis didn't make it. It's genuinely a really difficult scene to watch because you can see her just processing everything that happened, and the fact that effects her even without her knowing as much about him as Leon does really shows how much depth as a character Luis had. Also, just have to mention, this is probably one of the best analysis/lore videos regarding Luis I've seen! He's my favorite character in the whole franchise and it makes me happy to see him be done justice both in the game and in analysis.
It was definitely a shock to Ashley as she was processing what had happened to Luis. It really is testament to the quality of the character building present in this game and I am happy my hombre got the attention and care he deserved. Thank you for the kind words! I had a great time going over his lore and connections to the RE universe and I'm happy that others are liking it. I will be doing more with the character deep-dives soon
Honestly would love a Luis story DLC. Start with him escaping the island, getting captured, and meeting Leon, and then doing all the other chapters just from Luis perspective until his death. Would be a lot of fun and having his custom Red 9 would be fun to use. He's such a great character and the voice actor who played seems like a great guy too.
I think that would be fantastic. How great would it be to see more of Luis, right? I think Capcom should roll with these morally gray characters some more, as Luis is an incredible case study and has an incredible lasting impact on the series
I think they did Luis much better in the remake. Like, I didn't cry, but his death in the remake did leave me speechless for over a minute. I had to take a break before playing again in a half hour. "People can change." Yeah, yeah they can, Luis. Also, I think that's flippin awesome they retconned him into not just being any former Umbrella researcher but being part of the team that developed Nemesis. Great way to bridge RE3 and RE4 together.
Really well said. I completely agree with that. It was an awesome touch to link RE3 and RE4 together with Luis. Makes sense and gives us more to understand about Luis' past experiences
It would've been awesome to see him survive in the remake. In the end, I really love what they did to his character in the remake. I liked him a lot in the original as well, but I liked that the remake gave us more time with Luis
This was really sad. You see, I never played the Old RE 4 so when the time he died and uttered his last words that he really wanted to make amends, I was really devastated. Had to take a break from gaming and I felt that someone I know or one of my relatives died. I wanted him to make it, I thought he will make it but he didn't.
What’s more tragic is that Luis was forced to kill his fellow villagers when he helped Leon and Ashley. Some of them are probably his relatives or friends that helped took care of him when he was a child. He must’ve been so heart broken but hides his true feelings under his charismatic and cheerful personality.
The additions to Luis's story in the remake were great. All you knew about him in the original was that his granddad showed him a secret passage to get around the village, Saddler hired him to research Las Plagas and Luis was too interested in how the parasites behaved to see that Saddler wanted to infect the world with them and felt guilty when he realised so tried to bring Los Illuminados down.
I love how this whole game feels like Don Quixote. I mean what doesn't seeing that it inspired everything, but all the references are nice and I love the aesthetic of it, especially Luis. He's my favourite character.
Well said -- I like that we had various references of Don Quixote in there as well. His actions and words along with his files you can read throughout the game really do make him feel like a well thought out character
Yeah, it dawned on me when I read that he was really into Don Quixote. Finding Luis in the tunnel underneath the shack and the Old Man's diary just further cemented it
Luis was an amazing character, and he was such an amazing RE4r character expansion. But it also retroactively added so much more to RE3r, a game that I felt robbed from when it was released. Thank you for making this video.
I appreciate that! I really like the expanded Luis we got here as well. Although I was also pretty let down by RE3R, I am happy that we have some more context behind some elements of that game's story and connecting the numbered entries together
RE2r was also pretty robbed of content, but some people just refuse to look at that game without nostalgia glasses. Yes RE3r could've been better, thought it was a pretty solid game for what it was.
@@animatedink2529 Really well said. I think RE3 Remake was a bit more egregious with the cut content, but your point still stands. I love RE2 Remake and I think, for me personally, I like it more than the original. RE3 Remake is a fine game, but coming after RE2 Remake, it feels more like a DLC expansion. The OG RE3 felt decidedly different from RE2 in my opinion. Loved the decisions you could make and Nemesis was much more formidable. As a game, RE3 Remake works well, but I wish it kept some of the cut DNA from the original in there because I think the remake would've benefited greatly
Most definitely that would mean that he has been infected by some strain of the viruses he was working on and we already see how those things resurrect ppl or who knows maybe he’ll get wesker’ed
One of the unauthentic things in the RE series is that almost every time the only survivors are the protagonists, i wished so much that Luis will survive in the remake.
There should be a mod where right after the scene where Luis "dies" he recovers, stands up and follows you all the way to the final boss battle, helping you with ammo 😆
@@nicosoftnt I still say I wish they would patch the game and make it like RE1 Remake so you can have alternate endings depending on how you play. That way, we could get the good ending with Luis. And have it be the canon ending! 😊
@@farashahanem He was not impaled through and through like in the original, he was wounded with a knife. Leon could not save him because he and Ashley were running out of time, BUT. What if Ada encounters Luis unconscious, and rescues him behind the scenes? Would be cool if this was shown in a dlc.
Nice analysis. Long post ahead... Luis is indeed the highlight of the remake for me, his DLC can be a great link between RE3 & RE4 events, following his long journey from Umbrella days to los iluminados, betraying Saddler, removed the parasite, and going through Ashley's kidnapping, then he met Leon, we get to play as Luis with with ada/leon as our partners, DLC showing things from Luis perspective & hopefully it ends with Luis survival twist. Luis with such tragic backstory he can be an important wildcard that improves the story adding more interesting scenarios with Luis as ex Umbrella scientist who can create anything. RE story is desperately in needs for morally gray chars like Luis. The way they did his death be way less deadly where other chars survived worse, that his survival twist is so easy to do now, maybe they did to leave it open for his comeback. Especially the devs refers to the recent remakes being its own continuity means an intended distinction between canons. I thought about this idea on Luis survival twist which **doesn't effect his death** moment, I shared this idea with Luis actor and he thought it’s genius and should be canon: Luis was canonically described as a genius prodigy biologist and one of the best Umbrella researchers who produced medications for Umbrella before he created Nemesis, later his plaga research resulted creatures like the Regenerators. Seems like he experienced alot of things. It's very convenient if Luis was developing a **cure that helps regenerate after injuries** for medical purposes based on his experience as ex Umbrella scientist, and he was testing it on his body which explains the scars on his left cheek and neck, he just **never tried fatal injuries** because well...it hurts, this twist won't effect his death moment as he was in deep pain losing consciousness thinking he's gonna die not knowing whether the cure will work or not, so he said what he believed will be his last words to Leon, but in reality **he just went into coma while healing**. Remember he passed out after the stab and walked ALL the way back to save Leon despite his injury. No logical explanation other than he got some cure he was developing based on his Umbrella medications/viruses/parasites experience. They could make a scene where he wakes up like "huh I'm not dead? The regen did work?" Or Ada comes to check his body and realize he's still warm confirming not dead. - There are scenarios with Luis like Jill finding out he's involved in the creation of her first nightmare, Nemesis, Jill would probably try to kill him while Leon would stop her. - Another cool scenario that Luis can make samples that helps Leon or anyone from the main cast to willingly gain power/speed like Wesker but temporarily, to beat other BOWs or some powerful villain, and Luis would have the vaccine to bring them back to normal. Would be pretty cool to see Leon or other characters have super powers like Wesker. - And the concept of dominant plaga infected Luis being able to control creatures for good to help the cast deal with other villains/BOWs. Remember RE4R Luis notes was planning to keep the dominant plaga for himself that it was with him until he died, because his plan was to develop it outside of los illominados cult so he can beat Saddler that's why he contacted Ada to help him get out of there but he was planning to trick ada and keep the plaga. Means **Luis was willing to apply the plaga on himself where he can control plaga creatures**, Luis is like the perfect candidate for such interesting concept and would be such a cool add for the main cast. Even if he lost the plaga with Ada, he can still create another one, he can do literally anything based on his experience in the lore, that's how impactful Luis has become plotwise. - The best scenario we can get where Luis creates a **more intimidating bigger version of Nemesis** but this time **he can control it for good** through a parasite just because he felt bad that #1 Nemesis killed many people, so he makes a new one he can control through the plaga, imagine Nemesis 2.0 that fights for the good side against other BOWs/villains to help the main cast. Imagine we get to play as Nemesis itself? **Luis with his majestic Red9 doing cool stuff while controlling Nemesis 2.0 to beat other BOWs**!! The idea is mindblowing and too good to be ignored i wish you make a video to share my idea about his survival twist and the cool scenarios that Luis character would provide storywise, so it can reaches capcom. Luis Serra potential is crazy. - And a very cool concept where Luis just turn himself into Nemesis 2.0 through successful experiments where he can fully control himself to help the cast beat BOWs, and he can regularly transform between human/monster forms, because of his previous canon experience in developing parasites/viruses he can do literally anything. The interesting thing about Luis is that he makes the problem bigger or more complicated when he's trying to fix it, the type of morally gray character that RE story is desperately in needs to spice things up for the main cast. Like his intentions was all good to find the cure to the plaga that killed his grandpa, little Luis was traumatized watching his only family member die in the flames due to the plaga, so he joined Umbrella to learn more about the parasites concept, helped them create Nemesis and left when he realized their bad intentions, then joined Los iluminados in hope he can create the plaga cure, his research ended up creating El Gigante, Regenerators, U3, Novistadors and Verdugo. He did end up creating the parasite removal machine but at what cost! poor Luis he's misunderstood and flawed, but that's what makes him such a great character.
Amazing post! I will definitely entertain a video with those thoughts. You make incredibly valid points here that are worth exploring. Having morally gray characters is definitely a good way to go with the franchise and Luis fits that role beautifully. I especially like your idea about Luis creating a Nemesis 2.0 to help rid of BOW's... that would be sick. I think that it is possible that he survived, although I won't get my hopes up on it. I think perhaps we will know a bit more about the fate of the character in Ada's Separate Ways DLC. I look forward to seeing him more in her content and I hope the future has more for the character -- whether he survived Krauser's attack or a prequel following Luis and his time at Umbrella or Los Illuminados. Excellent post!
@@funmylife9248 Thanks. I'm not getting my hopes up but I'm finding ideas to bring him back because I think killing him in one game is a mistake, his survival adds more to the story than his death. The best part about Luis survival is that he didn't die in the island where everything blew up, so there are many ways for Luis to recover.
