Leading many Ainur astray to his cause, Morgoth waged war against the Valar, plunging Arda into chaos and ruin.
Morgoth, also known as Melkor, stood as the mightiest among the Ainur, yet he plummeted from his celestial glory when he disrupted the harmonious Music of the Ainur and dared to challenge the divine will of Ilúvatar.
His infamous deeds include the theft of the Silmarils and prolonged conflicts with Elves and Men, marking a significant portion of the late First Age's history with strife and darkness.
Ultimately, Morgoth faced divine retribution as the Valar bound him in unbreakable chains and cast him into the Void, though the scars of his malevolence endured, echoing through the ages in the form of his successor, the formidable Sauron.
According to prophecy, there awaits a day of reckoning when Morgoth shall rise again in furious vengeance, only to meet his final defeat in the cataclysmic Dagor Dagorath, bringing an end to his dark legacy once and for all.
The Valar then established their abode in Almaren, gracing the land with the radiant lamps Illuin and Ormal, which bathed the world in divine light.
The renowned Maiar Olórin, known in Middle-earth as Gandalf, stepped into the warm, embracing glow of Ormal. He welcomed the familiar feeling that stirred deep within his being.
The magnificent sight before him evoked a rush of emotions too potent to contain. Tears began to flow down his weathered cheeks, catching the golden light and shimmering like tiny stars. Pausing in the midst of this overwhelming beauty. He let the sensation fully engulf him. His hands instinctively rising to his face as if to capture and hold onto this fleeting moment of divinity for a little longer...
The full details are in the video! We have tried to create an enchanting story about the plight of the most powerful entity in the universe of in J.R.R. Tolkien, besides Eru himself. Follow along to experience the wonders of EÄ, Arda and Almaren.

Exquisite...both visuals and writing. The thought of Gandalf moved to tears of wonder at the beauty of creation is inspiring. Many thanks.

Thanks mate, it is indeed inspiring to see such reverence for creation. Especially from such renowned beings as the maiar, Gandalf especially.

This was amazing. I love the visuals. I like how Tulkas got some much deserved love. My favorite of the Valar.

Thanks man! In the first revision of this story the Tulkas segment was much less pronounced. But that didn't sit right. He more or less single-handedly saved the Valar from destruction. That is a crazy feat, as we are talking about Melkor here, so he is well deserving of much praise.

That a Maiar should be so moved by creation to shed tears. Well done

Stunning images, and beautifully worded. I got a little lost in the transition from the lamps to Gandalf/Olorin. Didn’t Olorin appear like an Elf before the 3rd age while living in the undying lands? I thought he didn’t take on the appearance of an old man wizard until he came to middle earth, long after the lamps were gone.

Thank you for your kind words! You are right, Gandalf indeed wore the guise of an Elf in those times. I just thought it more relatable to picture him like many of us know him, as this old wizard. Just some creative liberty I force down your throat, I guess 😆

Morgoth is many things, tragic is not one of them. The only tragedy in Morgoth’s story is the tragedies he inflicted on others. Morgoth is the embodiment of pure evil, he a remorseless, unsympathetic, and unrepentant monster.

Tragic? He played dumb games and won dumb prizes. Such is life.

Yeah.. I just find it tragic that he went the way of darkness. With that much power, he could have been an incredible force for the Light. But then I guess there would have been no need to write the books :)

Exquisite imagery. Of all the Ainur, Tulkas came last to Arda. Olórin first took the appearance of a wizard upon his arrival in Middle Earth.

Except that at the creation of the lamps Gandalf was neither Gandalf but Olorin only, nor was he an old man but usually an Elf even when he WAS embodied, which was rarely ever.
