In the summer of 2021, Paris Saint-Germain signed then six-time Ballon d'or winner, Lionel Messi after his exit at Barcelona. He was signed with the promise that he would collaborate with two of PSG'S biggest superstars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe to finally end their long and agonizing wait for the UEFA Champions League trophy. However, two years into this move, PSG have failed to do exactly just that resulting to tensions between the club's fans and the players particularly Lionel Messi.
He's specifically been a target for massive boos after any of their Champions League eliminations and his recent trip to Saudi Arabia has ensured there is now a point of no return between the Argentine and the club's fans.
