Please Note: We misspoke as President Theodore Roosevelt was born in 1858, not 1958. Sorry about that!

You’re calling someone out for misspeaking while you’re misspelling. Glass houses.

I am a Democrat, but I would have voted for Theodore Roosevelt.

That is what true American leaders should be. Polite when needed, strongly voiced their views, and went by the law. Yet in each there were troubles with life.

I loved watching this! I lived near Sagamore Hill and it is a wonderful state park and hiked there every other day, through the Roosevelt family farm, his house (04:26) down a steep hill down to one of many coves in the Oyster Bay Area. The hill is a very very old place, and haunted! I would go for very early morning walks in the late spring with my plott hound/Amstaff mixed pup and one early sunrise met a woman with what looked like a 1920s flapper style, bob haircut coming up the wooded trail from the cove. She was also dressed, kinda almost costume-ish for a 6:30 am hike wearing a white sailor type blouse which I thought was weird but I didn’t judge and I said “good morning, up early?!” And she smiled as she passed and said with a chuckle, “Oh yes, I’m British.”I didn’t think anything of it at all but as I headed down the hill on the trail a minute later I took a quick glance back for her. Nothing, no one behind me in view in the open field behind me that was an open pasture leading to the then-empty parking grounds! Gone. I quickly hiked down to the water to catch up with my pup. This was in 2015. I never ran into the strangely dressed woman again. That place has so much history, spirits, or neighbors who like wearing vintage clothes and go hiking at the crack of dawn, which I doubted. It’s a secluded area with many old wealthy neighbors and their descendants, or the nouveau riche who aren’t outdoor types at all. Gotta love the Long Island Gold Coast, I recommend Sagamore Hill as a great place to visit.
