My eyes are half closed right now due to the amount of pollen that is attacking the area right now that you will see scattered throughout this tour on the trail and in the ponds! Whether you like to bike, long board, scooter, walk, run or tool around on the golf cart, the trail system at Cane Bay is a fantastic and safe way to get to the YMCA, all of the schools and the shopping section at Publix. In this tour I go through Magnolia, Old Rice, Sanctuary Cove, The Oaks and Lindera Preserve. It does continue all the way out to Black Tom Road however I probably would have choked on pollen and the trails there are not as scenic but they are still amazing!
For any questions about Cane Bay please don't hesitate to call or text me at 908.229.8628.

This is great where the trail system connects to all communities in Cane Bay. It's great too because it is asphalt not concrete. They should have made the trail WIDER. It looks tough to navigate if, for example, you are walking or biking, and a golf cart tries to pass you from behind. Not much room. You could easily get hit if the person on the golf cart doesn't slow down enough or stay to the extreme left when passing. And what happens if golf a cart approaches from the opposite direction (in front of you)? I doubt there's enough room for golf carts to pass each other from opposite directions. Now add in walkers and bikers and you have a disaster in the making. Can't believe those who designed this trail system didn't see this design flaw.

You are right, when it comes to two carts passing each other it does get tight for sure and now with all the electric scooters and bikes you really do need to be careful but after considering your comment I realized that none of the communities in the low country, even the higher end ones, have trail systems that are wide enough to accommodate two golf carts comfortably

Phil - Please check out the link here to see what trail systems should look like: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7ykGQEWt-uE.html This is the Passeo Greenway that is part of Riverland here in Port St Lucie, Florida. Riverland is a master plan community where the builder, GL Homes, is building separate 55+ communities. The first community, Valencia Cay, opened in 2019 and the builder is now on the 4th community, Valencia Parc. This trail system will connect all the communities. There are 2 side by side asphalt trails. The wider one on the left is for golf carts while the one on the right is for bicycles, people walking their dogs and for walkers. As you can see, the landscaping is extensive and makes you feel like you are in paradise. I lived in Valencia Cay for 9 months and walked the trail system each day.

Wow!! Yes that is gorgeous, I have not come across any close to that in the low country here!
