Trail to Oregon, performed at Spotlight Studios for the Performing Arts 2nd night performance: 6/29/19 Directed by Brennan Saur Music directed by Mikey Martin
My personal favorite parts: - The actor playing Zoo-Wee Mama giving off Jeff Blim energy in literally everything he does - KELLYANNE CONWAY'S VOCALS (a phrase I never thought I'd say) - The various accents the citizens of Independence have (especially that Russian one) - McDoon making out with Jake Knapp's hand for a good minute straight - "I'm Cletus Jones, I *have* killed three people." - The improv is so good! - The line delivery on "Is this a dead bird?" - "Here come the Ex-Wives!" "You might be right about that." "ZOO-WEE MAMA!" - Just every time Zoo-Wee Mama shouts his own name in response to a situation - The ox sniffing random audience members and bowing down to one of them - Dude Wife's actress playing a very convincing 7-year-old (especially in that "I don't know" monologue) - The "backup ransom note" bit in Pays To Be an Animal - Actually, just... all of Pays To Be an Animal. Especially with the added Cornwallis backstory and those vocals! - The World's At Stake was AMAZING too - "I can be romantic!" (seductively unzips onesie) - Dude Wife sucking his own leg in the back of the snake scene - The acid-trip lighting in Dysentery World - The COSTUMES in Dysentery World - THE CHOREOGRAPHY IN DYSENTERY WORLD - "You! You! What's your name??" ".............Jake Knapp" - Megalovania funeral music
@@whateverIFeelLike The Trail to Oregon is actually the only Starkid show with a censored version - designed for that exact purpose. When licensing someone can license the censored or non censored version!
@@jacobmorejead8122 actually, firebringer is censored too! i’m doing it right now, but our director thought it was too censored so we had to add some stuff back in
It was so fun being a part of this! You were great! And how anyone can say "Zooeymama" during an emotional part while keeping a straight face is beyond me! Instant subscribe! (I was the first one!)
i love this entire show but my current fave things are the entire ex-wives bit, the abba costumes in dysentery world and the decision to play megalovania in the background of the funeral scene
Anyone wanna help me out with the names your welcome to reply with anything im missing or corrections Father: Zoo wee mama Mom: Kellyann Conway Son: Dude Wife Daughter: Jake knapp Grandfather: Pickle Pie Pete
Small correction! The daughter’s name was Jake Knapp. There was a huge group of friends in the audience, one of them being named Jake Knapp. Shortly into the show, the audience members who didn’t know him caught on, so you’ll see a lot of jokes where we refer to someone in the audience, and eventually he ends up coming on stage towards the end. None of it was planned at all, we just got the name and then had to roll with it, so a bunch of improv happened
oh my god i just found this and i've just barely started watching but 1. mr father dude is very clearly channeling his inner jeff blim and i'm loving it 2. im SO happy someone has done this show!!!!
This is by far the best fan version of the show I’ve seen, everyone’s comedic timing was on point!! I might have laughed even more than I did with the original!
I absolutely LOVED this production of TTO!! and it looked like everyone in the audience did too!! Props to the entire cast, especially to the people playing the instruments!!
I went in expecting to not like it, but I was mistaken. This is hilarious, and done really well. I got really into the play again even though I already know the entire play. I found myself laughing along with the audience. This was really fun, I'm glad to have it in it's entirety for free on youtube. Thanks for that, you've made my night.
This is so great! Well done to the cast & crew of this show. I love all of the dialogue adjustments you made as well, you managed to tone it down a little while still keeping it funny and true to the show. Fantastic job!
this is amazing lmao the comedy is just. on point. everyone was great but the guy playing the dad in particular is fantastic. and that redition of when the world's at stake was so good
I believe it's Jake Knapp? Someone commented that there was a guy in the audience named Jake Knapp and one of his friends shouted his name to the actors.
