The Trailcraft Cycles Story

My son was fortunate to ride a Trailcraft titanium frameset. WOW! The bike was transformative. He really liked riding mountain bikes, but this was his first REAL mountain bike. One ride and, he was hooked. The bike helped elevate his ride quality and his skill grew by leaps and bounds. The pride he had for the bike knew no bounds. After every ride, he would take his mud/dust-covered sled to the wash area and make sure that it was spotlessly cleaned, lubed, and ready for the next ride. He was delighted to stop during a ride whenever someone wanted to talk about his bike. To his eyes, his bike was one that was purpose-built for a kid and built for a kid who wanted to actually ride on single track rather than to the end of the street in the neighborhood. The reactions of other parents were fantastic. To those who could not reconcile spending money on a good kid's bike, reasoning their child would grow out of it in 2 to 3 years, I always asked how often they as adults bought a new bike for themselves. The self-realization light that would come on was priceless. Simply stated, a bike that is designed right, fitted with thoughtful components, makes riding enjoyable regardless of age. Ginger and Brett are fantastic. During my conversations with Ginger, she was absolutely candid and over-the-top helpful. I recommend Trailcraft to any parent who wants to cement their kid's love of cycling at a young age. My son is now 14 and riding an adult frame. Since getting his first bike at two, he is now on his 8th bike. Aside from his current bike, all of the others have been packed away except one: his Ti Trailcraft. In our home shop, the Trailcraft Ti bike is suspended from the ceiling. It is hanging right between the Colnago that Freddy Maertens rode to victory at the 1981 World Championships and Mario Cipollini's World Champion custom Specialized he rode in the Giro d'Italia when he broke Alfredo Binda's stage victory record. Funny, when collectors or riders visit our house and see the hanging bikes, every single person wants to pull down Trevor's mountain bike for a close look.
