Dear Swamiji, i thank you so much for your talks. I feel as though the heavy clouds of ignorance from conditioning are dissolving at last thanks to your explanations. This talk is particularly powerful 🙏💕
Swamiji your sessions should also be available in Hindi for the masses living in India. You have made a deep topic so simple. Added to this is your par excellence sense of humour !
My gosh, Swami is simply incredible. This pieced together so much for me. I especially loved the story of the caretaker! Wonderful- all wonderful. With much gratitude 🙏🏼
Existence i.e Pure Awareness ' The Self of Consciousness ' is only one undivided reality & since knowledge & Ignorance is at the same realm (under the locus of superimposition) therefore only the Knowledge of Brahman (in form of Being) is crucial for the cause of spiritual liberation i.e de-superimposition. *Superimposition is an Error & there is no cause of error as there is no cause of causality. Amazing Teaching 🙏🏻
Swamiji Namaskar, your lectures are always superb.I have heard almost all the lectures n all r wonderful. I am a great admirer of yours also. Many of the family members are unable to understand thoroughly in English.I think if we get the hindi translation of ur lectures then majority of the masses will be benefitted surely.Sprituality is the need of the hour.
। धन्यवाद
Plato might argue differently - there are metal pots, clay pots, plastic pots - yet we recognize a pot when we see one (even in our minds) - so only the pot exists. No matter what the material is, the perfect form of the pot exists in a higher reality (the theory of forms). This is why it is recognized as a pot.
Lol. You're making the same mistake as the caretaker. The subject of Svamiji's study was "Nothing", not pots. The pot was used only as an example. Other common examples in Vedanta are wood and furniture, water and waves, and gold and ornaments. If you start talking about different materials to make furniture, waves or ornaments, you haven't understood the point, which is to illustrate the fact that there is only "Awareness", and everything we do or experience is only that Awareness. When the wise man points at the moon, the fool sees only the finger.
@@1oscarbravo Hahaha. I did not say I agree with Plato, the foundation of Western Philosophy. I am bringing a contrast to Swamiji's analogy, giving rise to a paradox (a ko'an) that should deepen your insight into emptiness and what Swamiji is saying. Nagarjuna used the same technique. I suspect Swamiji would find this contrast between Eastern and Western philosophy interesting (given his background). He would probably be the one who would be able to give the most insightful response.
In a dream you identify different objects and people. The dream appears very real when you are sleeping. But when you wake out of the dream you realize it all emanated from the same source - your own mind. Similarly when the illusion of world reality breaks you realize all the people and objects have emanated from the same source, the one consciousness. It's like when you see a magic act it, enchants you. But once someone explains the trick behind the act, then you don't find the act as interesting when you see it next time. You can't unsee the trick in the act. Similarly it's not wrong to see and enjoy the pot as a pot. But once you have experienced the reality of one consciousness (the one trick behind all acts), it's hard to unsee it ever again
What is the guarantee that when i the consciouness leave this body at the time of death, will not experience this world again? That i will not have to learn advait vedanta again??
I am new to Swami Sarvapriyananda. I've been learning from Rupert Spira and a few others for the past year or two. I saw a video comparing how Rupert explains that the "I" is as far "back" as we're capable of going in our current form.... then the person compared it to how Swami explains consciousness vs. pure consciousness. Interesting idea. So I'm intrigued. One thing I notice though, that although he's amazing at explaining concepts, he never goes into HOW one can awaken. HOW one can integrate the ego with the ego. It seems as though he's saying that doing Rupert's method of looking towards the "I" in "Who am I?" is not enough? Could someone point me towards any resources on how he talks about the HOW of awakening, from his perspective?
This is a Vedantic teaching, not exactly 'swami's perspective'... I think that Swami talks about 'HOW to realise', in the Bhagavad Gita series, where Vedantic Meditation and KarmaYoga is explained. I think the series is still available via Vedanta society of New York or maybe RU-vid...
😅😅😅😅but he explains this now and then 1. Listening 2. Reflection 3. Nididyasana meditation This must be done until the wisdom of Brahman becomes a second if not 1st nature😊
also chk out sw vivekananda n his writings. the HOW is spread all over n into ind spirituality. different ways, different traditions. no one book n one founder. paramhansa yogananda. swami muktananda. n many more. as u walk d path it will open up.
You never answered to my question under any circumstances. To be very frank some miracle questions arosed inside, as i was unable to understand, that is the cause ! Pardon pl.
As you lastly uttered that Water is Water-- neirher is born, nor is Death. Water is only Water. But it refers to in my mind, that sometimes Water is not just Water, it may be the cause of born, n it might be the Cause of Death also. And at the last may we utter that Water is just not Water . Water is our Lives, am i wrong,??
*Purusha and Prakriti of Samkhya became Brahman and Maya of Vedanta.* Prakriti is real and life affirmative in Samkhya, while Maya is unreal and life negative in Vedanta. Reject all that is life negative.
Non-duality is the issue because you're trying to conquer the dark with the light but the war never ends because the 2 produce each other. The worldling suffers because he's fooled by the illusion of duality; the illusion that the light can conquer the dark through some kind of technique or something. You want duality because that would create the possibility to win and end the war.
If a person does not realize any of this, they are still pure consciousness. So, people in the west keep it simple - grab a stake sandwich, go to a ball game, knock back a beer or two and chill. It’s all good.
You are right in a way but the one who does not do all that and instead engages in spiritual contemplation, would find it easier and less painful to let go of the body when the time comes.
Keep on quoting…but no clear reasoning…. Citations are not proofs….just definitions are also not proofs Do clays exist or not….water and waves are two different things …matter and waves….
