I think the best thing I can say for Tri Slosher is its sheer power is circumstantial. It's always good, it's easily the best close range focused AOE for just how fast it kills, beating out Luna and Octobrush with ease, and even being dangerous to short range shooters in the right circumstances. But tri is still short ranged, it suffers when options can easily keep it away. Its rise to dominance in 2 was best described as being in the right place at the right time. Old top tiers and good weapons were either absent at launch, had a not amazing first kit or were heavily nerfed, meanwhile its own kit was possibly the most broken this side of S2's jet squelcher kits. Tri serves as the ultimate reminder of the concept of the “power vacuum”, in that one thing holding back a weapon getting removed or lose popularity will DRASTICALLY boost its usage!

For me, Tri is one of my favourite weapons in Splatoon 3. I like bully things under a ledge with my slosh and surprise ink jet attack and play support with fizzy bomb spam and Tacticooler. It fit my play style of go in and don’t die perfectly with both it kits.

I think rn now tri is in the perfect spot. It's not too broken or too strong.

Tri has been my main for a while. Why? I have no idea, i just tried it one day and liked how it felt so I stuck with it. I think that toxic mist is actually a great sub for it as I use it alot to slow down people im chasing and get them in my range. Great Video!
