Thanks for the great piece of drumming Mr. Tommyland! VERY GROOVY MAN Disclaimer: This is not my song It belongs to the people that wrote and recorded it All rights reserved
This was the drum cover I was looking to watch. Too many other covers totally miss the cowbell/bell riff that Tommy does on the album. It was one of subtle things I totally loved on the album when it first came out and you stayed true to it. Well done
Looks like a self taught drummer by the way he uses his arms to move the stick rather than playing the bounce and that incredible grip on the stick, but that said, he’s a GREAT self taught drummer. I myself am a self taught drummer no I’m not hating on him. Stage presence, dexterity, maneuverability, speed, precision, theatricality, this dude has it all. Pro drummer in all categories.
I noticed that also. Especially with the left hand. I marched drum corps for years, but never had a 'drum set' lesson. My critique would be to work on just doing straight 1/8 and 1/16 note rudiments to get that missing little bit. I have to say great job.
Dude, I'm a guitar player and TL happens to be my ultimate favorite rock n roll drummer, you have his groove nailed, to hell with the naysayers keep doing your own thing!🤘
On point with the cymbal chokes! Tommy Lee is one of the best groove, in the pocket drummer ever! He's not real technical but that's not what makes a drummer great. Look at Phil Rudd! Good job my fellow skinsman!
From what I can see you have a ten lug bass. They sound really good. Blue sparkle, my favorite. Can you tell me the make? Don't recognize the badge? Maple? Once again great drumming sir.
HEY TRIBUTE DRUMMER, I JUST DISCOVERED YOU. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF YOU LIVE IN OR AROUND THE NYC AREA? AND IF SO, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TALK MORE ABOUT PLAYING DRUMS ON 3 FULL ALBUMS OF NEW ORIGINAL 80s SOUNDING MUSIC, AND BE PART OF SOME MUSIC VIDEOS FOR THOSE SONGS, AND PERFORM LIVE? SERIOUSLY, LET ME KNOW.. I LIKE YOUR STYLE, AND YOUR DRUM SELECTION. BIG DRUMS, BIG SOUND.
Seriously bro?????? You're giving tips to a guy that could literally jump right into M.C. in their heyday, and only those close enough might not think it is Tommy? Most all wouldn't notice the difference. So it looks like he plays tighter. He has it all down pat brilliantly, and Tommy is no better. In fact this cat in my opinion has more talent. Just funny you want to help a guy this good. Hard to believe he got this good with power, (always a great thing for rock drummers) without your ever present guidance, hehe.
I did this begrudgingly due to the fact the band failed after a year, but I had to do something to show for time spent and I was a bit pissed about it so...is what it is
He should have played Tommy Lee instead of Machine Gun Kelly. I hate when they put actors who are not Metal Fans in the roles Hard Rockers. Mark Walbergh comes to mind in that Shitty Rockstar Movie
