@@AG-ur1lj camera editing not needed, because they handed him a "cheat sheet" and "Ace of Spades" could have been on there in "code" that Copperfield couldn't have interpreted. Just a guess

@@JonathanMeyerOklahomaMagician that’s just it though… if there was no camera edit I would say your guess is not only “just a guess” but also 100% the correct answer. But _with_ the camera edits I’m not even going to call it a trick. It could be basically anything now. I’ll never forget how disappointed I was watching David Blaine’s ‘Levitation’ trick on his TV show. They hardly show the trick at all, it’s 90% reactions. But when you do finally see it, they show two versions. One of them, he is obviously standing on one tippy-toe at an angle to the viewer that I’m sure took a lot of practice to get right. The other version looks completely amazing-unbelievably so. Because it was. They used straight video editing and compositing. Anyway, my point is if it ain’ 1 continuous shot it’s meaningless to me now. Coincidentally, Copperfield has probably the greatest self-levitation performance ever done.

@AG-ur1lj yeah people mention the Blaine levitation trick to me after my shows and I tell them it's totally fake lol

@@JonathanMeyerOklahomaMagician it wasn’t until I heard Penn talk about it that I realized magicians have concisely articulated the problem with both tricks already: they are too perfect. When there’s only 1 possible explanation, then that is the explanation.
