Of this summer this was undoubtedly the most demanding excursion, I won't hide that towards the end of the ascent it was hard.
I had to leave part of the equipment at home to lighten the backpack like the camera, the audio recorder and even the sleeping bag I preferred to rent it at the hut.
I had to stop several times and face the pains of cramps in both legs.
Anyway I would do it again, it was a beautiful way to spend the night of my birthday enjoying an incomparable view.
Di quest'estate questa è stata senz'ombra di dubbio l'escursione piu impegnativa, non vi nascondo che verso la fine dell'ascesa è stata dura.
Ho dovuto lasciare a casa parte dell'attrezzatura per alleggerire lo zaino come la fotocamera, il registratore per l'audio e anche il sacco lenzuolo ho preferito noleggiarlo al rifugio.
Mi son dovuto fermare più volte e affrontare i dolori per i crampi ad entrambe le gambe.
Ad ogni modo lo rifarei, è stato un modo bellissimo per passare la sera del mio compleanno godendo di una vista impareggiabile.

Nice Video, how is the hike after the bridge? I only went up to the bridge given it was late in the season, is it worth going back to go all the way up?

Hello, the path up to the bridge is classified as a mountain path T3, from the bridge to the refuge it is alpine path T4, there are some exposed points where you need to pay close attention and it is possible to find snowfields along the path even in the summer months, it may be necessary the use of crampons, I didn't have them but I would have liked to have had them. I think it's one... of the most beautiful hikes I ever did in Switzerland, in my opinion it is worthwhile but as long as you are prepared.

@@ParideMusci Thanks! Sounds like it's outside of my comfort zone but appreciate the feedback, I find it so hard to find good information online about hikes, and you kind of only know once you arrive there.

Absolutely loved the video! I’m there next week. How well marked was the path from the gondola drop off up to thrift bridge? Is it easy to navigate?

@@wandererastro5003 I don't remember, the connection in the mountains comes and goes, for this I always download a map and use it offline. I don't want to scare you but don't take it lightly. If you go to the trift bridge it is a T3 mountain path (red-white), but from the bridge to the glacier where there is the refuge is T4 (alpine path blue-white), it is not convenient to go alone, there are some exposed points that if you slip the rescue will have to recover you with a teaspoon and there may be snow and the need to use crampons, I took a big risk in the points: 3:30 / 8:07 (round trip), 4:47 and 7:13. @@ParideMusci Ah, just saw your detailed reply!Thank you very much!I planned to go in late August,but next year because of the virus.I didnt plan to go further after crossing the bridge.Blue-white-blue maybe too risky beacause I travel with my parents and we all have little hiking experience before.I use maps.me and I will print another from map.geo.admin.ch. @@wandererastro5003 From the funicular to the bridge the path is well signposted and frequented, it runs largely alongside the river, the first part is very hard in the summer (brings sunscreen and a protective cap), there are no trees or ways to shelter from the sun and the altitude difference is exhausting. From the middle of the path begins a less steep and shady part, but be careful on the right for possible falling rocks, last year a hiker died just before the bridge, two weeks after my video, these are things that happen everywhere but it is good to know.
