How to tie the Trilene Knot. The Trilene Knot, also known as the Two Turn Clinch Knot is a very strong and reliable connection to be used in joining monofilament or fluorocarbon to swivels, snaps, hooks and artificial lures. The knot can be considered a "100% knot" in that the line often breaks above its rated strength, not at the knot. In that respect it is equal to the mighty Palomar Knot, although the Palomar is far superior in braid and super lines. The double wrap of line through the eyelet is a feature of all knots that test well, including the Eye Crosser Knot.
