Legendary Jagger impression! This series is so great. A lot of people seem to pass it off as dull. But I'd describe it as subtle-humour. You don't LOL so much, but you're continuously smiling on the inside.
It's perfect tv. 2 masters of their craft with clear chemistry, beautifully shot in stunning locations, great food to look at and its amusing throughout.
I totally lost it over *"I've told you before, if you're not going to sing I don't want to bloody know! Now get back in the bloody room"* I hope this really happened. Brydon is the man 🤣
I think that's the first time I've seen someone do an impression of someone doing an impression. I've seen Kevin Pollak explain the differences in his Christopher Walken and Jay Mohr's, but this is different, like doing two impressions at the same time. I think the ultimate trick would be for him to do Michael Caine as the man in the box.
To be even more specific, it was in fact Rob Brydon doing an impression of Mick Jagger doing a bad impression of Rob Brydon doing an impression of Michael Caine. That's pretty deep on the impression scale.
Really excited for this! Can't wait. I loved The Trip (England) and The Trip To Italy....Coogan and Brydon's hilarious impressions and the stunning background scenery make this series world class. I hope they do "The Trip to France" next :-)
This had me lmfao but nobody has me crying with laughter as much as Cornwell and Sessions doing Mick and Keef. Absolutely the funniest impressions ever.
I met Rob Brydon, he had me on his show. He asked me to impersonate Billy Connolly, which I did and got a huge laugh from the studio audience. Naturally this was cut from the show.
Hey, I recognize Steve Coogan, of course, but the other fellow, he was the uncle on _Gavin and Stacy_, right? We didn't get that show in the US, but one of my friends had the DVDs when she moved over here and I saw some episodes.
This series would be better suited if it were named "Rob Leaves His Home To Eat Poncy Food With An Arsehole'. And I say this while remaining a fanatic fan of Steve Coogan.
In "Trip To Greece" Steve and Rob do a bit that rivals Phil Cornwell and John Sessions (RIP) on "Stella Street". Rob does a pretty good Keef, although Sessions' Pacino is a lot better than Rob's.
Isn’t Rob Brydon’s Michael Caine impression renowned purely because of The Trip? So in the universe of The Trip would Jagger be aware of the Michael Caine impression?
Didn't The Trip use to be on the BBC? Shame it's gone to Sky, I don't have it :( Surprised Coogan does work on Sky given it is part owned my the Murdoch family. So much for Coogan's anti Murdoch stance with Hacked Off. Confusing.
The cut down feature-length 'film' that appears on Netflix is not nearly as good as the full 6-hour mini series of each of the 'Trips'. There's so much great stuff cut out (not all of it funny).
@@tonypap1 Loved that series. I also loved the radio program Dead Ringers with Cornwell doing Greg Dyke (one time Director General of the BBC) as Michael Caine making rude comments to Alan Yentob .
