I live right in the middle of Oregon and for the past 3-4 years all our lakes have gotten extremely low. This year they are plum full. I'll be praying for L&M.

I can’t stress enough how happy it makes me to see L&M making it back with all the water I’ve been praying bc it hurt so much to see when all those trophy bass lost but with the water coming and hope for L&M to keep getting water and the fish to be healthy and growing again😊!!!

A bigger and better "Dock Boat," maybe with a mount for an umbrella, or some other kind of shade, so you can just grab some lawn chairs and a cooler, anchor/spot-lock in the middle of the pond, and just chill.

LOJO an island with a walkway to it would be very nice. But this is not really for the pond update but more for maintenance. A nice Ventrac with the right mower would make it look a ton better. They are very expensive but would be a great addition to the entire property.

Thanks for the video, this hits close to home. Our 90 ac lake just up the road in Goldthwaite went 98% dry. But the skies opened up on 5/4/2024 and nearly filled it up overnight. She is now at capacity flowing over the spillway and we are in the middle of our restocking program. So pumped my guy.

Invest in trees around the pond. You can go the Flair route and add a nice homemade beach for the kiddo. Run electric and a fountain. The possibilities are endless 🤙🏼

You should definitely try to build a dock with wrap around walk way and a dock house for overnight videos and challenges. My uncle Grady build one for his pond in the 80s and we go out there every weekend on the summers to fish and swim. Love you Lojo!

I feel like the way Bama Bass built his pond, is a good start. Lots ambush tunnels, structure, love the idea of a cantilever overhang made of boulders or you can make them synthetic. Make that area 10 to 15ft deep acting as shade and ambush for bass. Pea gravel under your dock for the bluegill. Underwater lights so you can make some episodes of feedings. You can do a daytime feedings and night with a fish feeder. Tag fish you catch watch them grow. You could get interactive with your audience and come up with a way to do giveaways, like guess weights of fish. I know you like frogging, part of the pond needs to be frog habitat...plant Yellow floating heart, hyacinth, water lily, cattails, bulrush, horsetail reeds...just some ideas for bullfrog habitat. Structure, you can get those pvc bass structures, find some nice drift wood weighed down by a cinder block, christmas trees. Don’t put cars and airplanes in like Flair did. A good percentage of rock and grass. I would like for the pond be a weekly feature, giving updates, invite fellow googans to have a 1 v 1, special projects around the pond, biologist come out to give tips for improvement, electroshock etc. What about building a bar and grill area for the guest? You could stage your catch and cooks right on the water.

For your pond expansion I would add more shade, a boat ramp and dock. Build out places for the bait fish and bass to spawn.

Put an island in the middle for fishing and add big rocks to the sides with a sand beach on the edge.

Love the expansion idea. An island for sure. Also, be sure whatever you do is at least 20 feet deep at the deepest parts. I also like the idea of some type of walkway to the island. Floating dock would be cool. A series of points all around would also be pretty interesting. Close enough together to fish each other, but still a good distance apart so as to make a bunch of small "coves." Points kind of like what you have one of now, only multiples that gently slope into the 20 foot depths. You could stand on one "point" and fish the two points on either side. It would also be great to have shade trees all around. Again, not too close together. They have to be manageable. You don't want to have "Woods" and tree hazards. Just some nice shaded areas to fish from and "picnic" on with your family and friends. A nice big fountain, or even two, for aeration is a must. Which way you gonna go? How big? 5 acres? 10 acres? Bama's is a bit too small for my taste, so over 7 acres if possible. His is also too shallow! He's gonna have issues with that in a few years! I think you could put yourself in collaboration with "Lunkers" and come up with a trophy lake! ...I also wanted to say that I for one really appreciate your support for Mike and Laura at L&M. I know he really appreciates your friendship and support! I look forward to some future videos from that freshly filled lake. Maybe another great day fin LOJO cove! Blessings LOJO.

I am no pond expert but it would be cool to have a lighted dock. My grandad had a dock almost a 1/2 mile it lead to his fishing/boathouse on the St. Johns. I look back and think wow it would have been cool if it were lit up with fishing lights. I think if it's possible some sort of dock.

I know imt late on watching this vid lojo but I still think the easiest expansion project would be creating shallow channels around linking them to your main pond. So many ideas for small little water falls and other structures in em. Plus you got the equipment with neighbor Daryl's help it would be a snap.😄👍👍👍👍

Lojo I think a bridge that goes from one side to the other preferably something dead center…you get shade cover not to mention being able to fish pretty much the whole pond from one spot and you could even had it raised towards the middle so you could still navigate around with a small boat/ kayak but no matter what you do add a fountain with a few lights

An island is definitely something I was going to suggest.. maybe some rock structures.. a couple of deep holes.. and some extra bedding areas.. But. You definitely have to keep the buffalo shape. It's the coolest thing about the pond

@LOJO Hey you should make a Discord for the channel so we can share ideas and stuff easier. Than we could show images of the pond ideas and suggestions. I would extend the pond toward the hill and remove the trees. Leave the peninsula and put gravel beds along it. Put a small island out just far enough to have a park style bridge go to it from the end on the peninsula. Than extend the deep hole toward and over where the road is (away from the peninsula) to widen the pond some more. Than you can maybe do some aquascaping that runs down from the hill into the pond. A nice little water feature would add some more oxygen to the pond. If the feature is out of budget than just use a fountain. I would also work out adding small sandy beach close to where you were originally going to have it (at the bend). Lastly I would probably drop some larger stones around and in the shallows for cover and frog/turtle perching. Hopefully you can imagine the idea...am not real great with wording things lol.

Idea: Put some beach sand on the bank, somewhere with a good grade so it can look like a beach. the little kids can play at it. Maybe a floating fountain sprinkler in the middle run by solar?

so heres an idea man, for your pond, submit a few really good pictures of your pond from the air, and include the swamp area behind it, then you can have viewers kinda pitch you their ideas for what you should do to kinda get your mind churning and show whoever you bring out to work on it their thoughts, you can combine thing from multiple viewers or even give out merch or after its done have one or two of the best ideas out there come down and fish, idk. its win win, you get a lot of ideas, and your viewers get a chance to contribute to stuff

The Wisconsin River by my parents house last year was the lowest it's been since before they moved there thirty years ago... They lowered the water for the spring runoff but it never came. I ended up fishing with topwater baits all the time the one time I fished it last year

Build a huge mound/hill beside the pond that has multiple tiers...landscape mound so it has water pumped from pond to the top of hill and run down a landscaped creek to a small pond on one of the tiers..then more landscaped creek back to the pond. Could add as many tiers as you'd like(more tiers more options for filtering plants)and landscape it how you'd like it to look make it look more natural or man made. If done correctly the water will get naturally filtered by the creeks and plants you put in it and add aeration to the water. Basically thinking of how nice smaller ponds with creek/waterfall add on's look and how they can help with filtration so just upsize the heck out of something like that....could even have multiple creek/waterfall systems back into the pond so it doesn't look like an oversized smaller pond.

I think you need a water feature natural filtration system that will also add dissolved oxygen to the pond. Something that has a couple feet of depth and shade to allow thread fin shad to spawn and develop.

Seen lake Hartwell Georgia SC state line minimum of 20ft,low balling, lower than normal.. I was between 10 and 15. I think.. was so sad to it see it like that.. but with a little hope and a lot of rain, she made a big comeback and is thriving

I think it would be awesome to have two separate ponds but have them connected with a channel/creek big enough and deep enough for the fish to travel between the both.
