I am a nanny of a 14 month old boy. His favorite food is my beef because I am lion diet; the favorite part of my food is not only the beef but the beef fat tr, which I eat with my food. He will answer anyone who's asking him what he wants to eat "beef" He always says beef, and he is absolutely correct, because it is his favorite thing, it's great for him. He's super smart and healthy, and fortunately his parents have just rolled with it, and while he does get the random fruit or vegetable they always give him 'beef'.👍🏻❣️❣️❣️
Gary and Belinda Fettke have been inspirational. They and many others are opening my eyes to the lies and corporate takeover of our life's. Thanks Judy for your talks.
I do feel privileged for the information. I knew when I was falling thru the science “rabbit hole” of convincing myself this actually was the truth, I wish everyone I knew was on the journey with me. I wish everyone could go on that same journey. I believe it could be life saving/ world saving. Love Gary Fetke btw! Thank you Judy for all that you do.
Mr. McIntyre I have to congratulate you on both the better health and that set up in your thumbnail. I too got rid of over 100 lbs and many probs that came with it. Best wishes. :)
“The joy of medicine for Dr Fetke is giving people back their health”.....the joy of You Tube and channels like Judys is giving people back their health. I am 61 years old, 4 years into low carb, no seed oils and mostly meat and eggs - never felt better since my early 20’s. The ‘perceived joy’ of eating carbs and fructose has been completely eliminated for me and all cravings for them are gone.....so simple yet miraculous for my health. Great podcast 🙏
Thank you for reminding me that staying the carnivore/keto path will eventually diminish my desire for fruit and vegetables. I was carnivore and enjoying all the amazing benefits, but gradually brought back “innocent “ veggies” and slowly all veggies and fruit. Then cereals. Then the crazy celery juice Medical Medium lured me. What a mistake. I’m a mess! So thank you because I’m starting carnivore as of this minute. I am grateful - be happy that you have helped me and probably others.❤
So many products promoted as having organic cane sugar, basically half fructose. So much touting of agave nectar, often 80% fructose. A few years ago, fructose was touted as perfect for type 1 diabetics like me, because of its low glycemic index. I can’t imagine it being good for anyone.
I totally agree about just smelling something decadent to get a hit. I tell people this all the time. I also get a visual hit just looking at pastries and bread in bakeries.
I got addicted to gorging on fruit whilst on carnivore, until I woke up one morning with a massive sugar hangover, I've kicked the fruit out now and back on 100% carnivore but the fallout from all the sugar has been painful, for the past month been low on energy and massive headaches not having any more fruit or carbs, sticking to steaks, ground beef, eggs, butter, tallow etc
Oh my goodness! That’s exactly what I do! I will smell whatever it is that others are eating and that I am craving. I do the same thing with coffee I make my mom her coffee in the morning and I smell it , in winter I will have a coffee scented candle burning in the morning. Both of these tactics help me with the cravings
I am 78 and enjoying good health on keto ; will be transitioning to carnivore soon. My family and friends have noted the change in how I look and I enjoy sharing my story and just let that stay with them. I never push my preferences on them. Thank you so much for a very valuable message for everyone!
Thank you Judy. In my opinion you are my top three carnivore content creators. The other two in no particular order are Dr. ken Berry and Shawn Baker. I appreciate that you never talk about the religion of Darwin. You stay on facts and results.
If you have an interest in fructose metabolism I would highly recommend a read of the paper - The Small Intestine Converts Dietary Fructose into Glucose and Organic Acids by Jang et al from February 2018, which details the role of the small intestine and ketohexokinase in dealing with the ingestion.of fructose and how it limits the amount of fructose entering the portal vein.
Wow. This is really a must-read. "eat sweets in moderation after meals" and I personally would add "do that every day" and not binge eat it once a month. The question of max fructose dose in humans or even individual humans seems to be still open for me. is it 5g of sugar for a 60kg person or is it more like 60g? - What this paper also is not discussing: fructoneogenesis from glucose and the effects on the liver and metabolism.
@@wocket42 there's only 4 grams, which is a teaspoon, of circulating glucose in the 7 liters of our blood. A strawberry 3 times a day is the limit for upsetting this balance. The body treats glucose that is ingested , not manufactured, as poison.
It’s absolutely fascinating to hear about the affects of seed oils, but Dr Westman’s response to my question about seed oils was that there isn’t any RCTs done to show its negative impact on our health, so he’s not worried about consuming seed oils. I’m as confused as anything now. Dr Fettke makes a lot of sense though
Many Drs are set in their thinking… my Dr told me to go off Keto as it was very bad for my cholesterol! Dr’s are not trained in nutrition sadly. An eminent Aussie scientist states that Coconut oil is bad as it is a saturated fat!! Oy vey!!
@@jdmosaics should have asked that doctor where her/his theory is coming from? These “healthcare” providers are 10-20 years behind in their thinking and is it even legal to practice old thinking today one may ask?
I love Gary. He understands the role of fructose in nature just like Dr Johnson, Dr Perlmutter, Judy and I do. Dr Fettke was the first person besides Dr Johnson I actually heard say that fructose causes us to gain weight in the fall so we could survive the winter, and he also understands the symbiosis between fruit and animals, how we spread the seeds for the fruit plants. I'm actually amazed at how few carnivores really understand the role of fructose. They tend to think all sugars are created equal, and that metabolic disease is caused just be eating carbs and having high insulin. I call this the "Gary Taubes" rationale for disease. Fructose is the main culprit for metabolic changes to the body for most people, not glucose. It's been very hard to convince the carnivore community that fructose and glucose are not equally bad or have the same metabolic effects. I have been trying to tell Dr Chaffee for about 6 months now, and eventually I will succeed.
I used to drink coffee with cocoa and maple syrup daily... This is a cobalamin tonic... For over a month now I just went cold turkey into carnivore.. went pretty much zero carbs (except good whole milk the first week). I stopped milk then and have be strict and consistent with meat, fish, eggs, butter and water and a bit of salt to taste.
My belief system around food is still developing. I have started with the idea plants can't run away. They must defend themselves against insects and herbivores. They must make life for these animals difficult. With that in mind I've come to believe fructose is bribery by plants. Humans have used fructose as a signaling molecule that Summer's over and it's time to gain some weight.
I really appreciate the reference to God. I watch all these carnivores talk about millions of years ago and evolution and I just do not believe that way. I believe that God made us like he said in his image in his perfect way. What we do with it after that is on us
I believe in both God’s “creation” of mankind and the evolution of our biology from scavengers to hunters. They don’t have to be in opposition to each other. It’s easy to account for both so long as your not pigeonholing God’s timeline of creation by believing in the modern, numerological translation of translations that try to convince Christians that dinosaur fossils and everything else blinked into existence only 6000+ years ago. One day of God’s creation could have been many millions of years in our modern construction of time.
God is a big part of my journey and why I'm here serving. 💗 Proverbs 31:8-9 "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."
The symbol of the forbidden fruit is actually the opposite. “Be ye wise as serpents” as Jesus was quoted in the New Testament, eating of the fruit was to gain knowledge of the heavens and lifted primitive man into spiritual beings, only forbidden for those not properly initiated into the mysteries. So fruit was seen as divine or godly foods. But I digress, I’m full carnivore
I wish you'd cross reference all the veggies that also have fructose as on a low FODMAP diet, as many ppl can't tolerate them and exhibit malabsorbtion
Where are the studies showing fruit has negative effects for humans? Not fructose, fruits, have very different effects. Fruits are very healthy. All places near equator have fruits year round.
I'm going on 3 months carnivore. I've watched countless videos from Low Carb Down under, Ken Berry, Shawn Baker, Steak and Butter Gal, Robert Kiltz, Anthony Chaffee and you of course. I wish there was a lot more discussion about macros and meal plans. More hypotheticals on body types and what their daily meals might look like. Thanks!
Great comversation. A major point missed though is that the fruit of today is not the fruit that humans evolved with. Fruit has been re-designed in laboratories and now consists of about 70% more fructose than what it used to.
I do not sleep well at all now that I am 3-4 weeks in on the carnivore diet. I have heard a half tsp of honey before bed will help. Is this true???? I would really like to sleep.
I've been mostly carnivore for over 2 years and have just been diagnosed with breast cancer (that from the scans, started pre carnivore). EVERY website, doctor and nutritionist I have looked to for advice is telling me to stop eating meat, seafood and saturated fat. For the last few days I've eaten a high fruit, veg and no meat diet but I am craving a steak. I am not fixed in my thinking, I'm happy to follow the science, but all the science I've read about a high meat and fat diet causing breast cancer is based on questionnaire studies lumping meat with high carbs or seed oils. I need certainty at the moment, and want to go back to carnivore but this confusion has removed my enjoyment of eating and is not good for my mental health. Any suggestions?
Conventional medical doctors don't know squat about proper human nutrition. Most forms of cancer thrive on sugar / glucose. Watch some of Dr Ken Berry's videos regarding the Proper Human Diet (PHD).
Second the Dr Chaffee recommendation. There's a lot of epidemiological studies and self-reporting (pseudoscience) on the subject, but whatever you choose to do managing stress and enjoying life is important in the process of healing too. Many plants are medicinal and have benefits, but to abstain from meat entirely will rob you of cellular energy and building blocks needed for repair. In my opinion they throw the baby out with the bathwater. Wish you well.
Hahahaha….. I love taking walks through the bakeries or the baking sections of food stores and taking big big sniffs! The ladies working stare at me with a questioning look and I tell them I am good just getting my fill of the sugary wheat 🌾 unhealthy carbs and try to feed my grand children beef 🥩 jerky and they always eat off my plate at a family dinner. They will eat fat with me but I have todo it sneaky so their mother and father don’t freak out 😂😂😂
I am fairly new to a animal based diet coming from a high fruit diet with other whole foods added in. The only question that still goes on in my head is that why are they many whole good plant based docs in good health and some vegans living long life's too? I. E Dr gold hammer and Dr Colin Campbell etc.
My surroundings look at me very funny, bordering to calling a shrink, when i say not even fruits. I am on LCHF and have seen large weightloss in fat and large muscle gain at the same time in a short 5 weeks! People ask me what I am doing, am i taking hormones? Yes, I am eating meat and fat and the superfoods, eggs. Many cannot get their head around it at all! Even when I stand there, a greek god compared to the average 10 years younger. EDIT: Whenever I am out shopping, which I rarely do bc i order my free range meats and most snack online and buy eggs free raised locally; i GAG when I get to the checkout. All the nasty chemical sugar attacks is bunched up there!! I find it gross and vile.
Yes, unfortunately, we've been taught since we were babies that fruits and vegetables are the best foods. I've yet to see a mainstream children's book that touts meat. Keep doing what you're doing. Some people eventually come around 💗
@@NutritionwithJudy have you ever even seen a fringe children’s book that promotes meats? How can we stop this myopic genocide? If some kids can eat vegetables then I am fine with that. But parents forcing (specific) vegetables on kids who can’t eat (all of) them is literally child abuse. I am prepared to believe that vegans and omnivores exist. But why do they get to dictate who may thrive?
Poor Judy, see her expression when he starts talking about sniffing fruit. Cheese has been shown to be addictive but not fruit. We have been eating meat and fruit forever.
I'm not exactly in agreement with the seasonal argument. I live in Veracruz and have bananas growing in my backyard year round. And I can use the fructose to fuel the fire for my appetite because eating meat (90% carnivore) kills it. I am chronically skinny and want to gain weight and muscle, so the bananas are a great help with this 54 year old skinny guy.
I eat anything, but with some restrictions. If the fruit is out of season in the area I live in, I do not eat it. It is natural to put on a little fat in spring and summer and lose it in fall and winter. I exercise with weights 3 times a week hard and rope jump on 2 days. I stopped listening to these diet people 2 years ago. I eat, am healthy, my body mass index is 24 and am 69 years old. On top of that I am a veggie gardener with dispersed planting and slow harvesting for a reason. Learn from nature.
Too much disagreement out there. I just stick to what works for me. Exercise 4-5 times a week, no junk food, and sleep well. I eat fruits, veggies, protein (meat), healthy fats. I feel great, and keep my 23.6 BMI. Diet has to be individualized to each person.
Probably lowered fructose tolerance. Too much too early. Phase it in in small amounts to activate your genes. That's what the current science says. Someone posted a paper link here.
@@wcneathery3100 Look for foods high in l-arginine. The body converts l-arginine into nitric oxide. You can also look into foods high in l-citrulline, which the body will then convert into l-arginine and then nitric oxide.
Can you invite guest with the opposing view against carnivore diet for more comprehensive perspective rather than an echo chamber. Thanks. I.e. mastering diabetes channel which advocates high carb diet to manage type 1 n 2 diabetes.
Did you watch the video? Most fruits are not what nature gave us, but what we made them. There is nothing natural about most our foods. And also in most latitudes nature doesn't give you fruit 365 days of the year. As said in the video, if you would actually eat natural fruits from 100.000 years ago at the times it was available 100.000 years ago, it would be all fine. Just make sure to go hungry during the winter. ;-)
The word choice of this fellow is revealing his bias. I did carnivore for a year before and felt good. I just ended up getting really constipated and lacked electrolytes. So, now I eat some fruit and beans or occasionally senna tea. Just be more active if you're going to consume fruits and don't over do it. Don't eat any after 1pm.
