I can't even find other videos of that Moonlander game. And this channel even found a hidden easter egg in it. I don't know how you can acquire all that information. Subscribed.
I have watched all your videos, and I just have to say this: Your work in preserving what is unquestionably historically important, however ephemeral and silly it may seem, is without compare. The classy, simple and to the point presentation, as well as the meticulous research, is what distinguishes you from the rest. Unlike most of RU-vid, this is truly archival material that preserves the past instead of burying it.
However, the fact is that not many saw these early eggs. On the contrary, very many videogame makers were inspired by the ones in Atari's Adventure. Not in small part because it was designed to give credit to the designer, when the parent company, Atari, suppressed credits, for fear of accomplished game designers demanding more money. These other examples might have technically come before it, but they certainly weren't known to the general public. And their inclusion doesn't have quite the rebellious edge.
"Ready Player One takes place in a dystopian future where people cope with the miserable state of their reality by escaping into a virtual one, a scenario I can't relate to at all". *BIG OOF.*
Another awesome video! After watching it, I couldn't resist the urge of playing as many versions of Moonlander as I could find... When I was a kid, I remember playing one that was written in QuickBasic. It was very fun! Frustrating, but fun anyways.
I'm McDowell's. They got the Golden Arches, mine is the Golden Arcs. They got the Big Mac, I got the Big Mick. We both got two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions, but their buns have sesame seeds.
Notice how the Moonlander game has the text "That's one small step for 'A' man..." which is what Neil Amstrong actually said, not "small step for man".
"If u are watching this then I am dead" someone said the same thing who said it 😟😟😟(I still cannot believe he died although he said he never dies rip legend)
Ready Player One came out before they discovered the other Easter Egg. Hence the mistake... I wouldn't care we don't hear people complaining about how they got the future wrong in Back to the Future 2...
Ready Player One came out in 2018. The Video Whizball egg was discovered in 2004. The Starship 1 egg was discovered in 2017. The Moonlander egg was discovered in 1973 but a small number of people ever got to play it.
