What makes Undyne's death even more sad is Undyne didn't just say that Alphys was evacuating people, she said Alphys was watching the fight. This means that Alphys had to watch Undyne die.

Notice how undyne doesn't try to kill you when she realizes monster kid is around. She's a true hero, one who won't scar a little child for life by spearing another.

Can we all just appreciate that the prophecy of "the angel who has seen the surface will make the underground go empty" has two meanings

the reason all the puzzles in hotland are "already done" is because alphys didnt reactivate them. like mettaton says, alphys activated ALL the puzzles to seem better to you but seeing as you're a crazed murderer she no longer wants to be your idol or even interact with you. so now the puzzles are deactivated as normal.

Undyne is the one character that REFUSED to die until her own determination killed her

i think its really neat the undyne got kinda melty before she died. in the pacifist ending alphys talked about how when she injected determination into the monsters, they got melty and all conjoined. undyne talked about feeling something in her soul to help her persist after death, which was of course determination, which made her melty.

If you didnt know, the 'But nobody came' soundtrack is Flowey's theme but slowed down by 1200%

Fun fact: the “but nobody came” music is actually floweys theme “your best friend” but slowed down by 1000x and made with reverb. That’s why it’s not on the soundtrack, becuase it’s technically just a remix of your best friend

I just noticed that every time Undyne gets hit she smiles, one last act of defiance in the face of evil. It's the battle against a true hero alright

I like how in the genocide the dog food is half empty instead of half full like it was in the pacifist

If you notice. The phrase "everyone's hearts beating as one" is mentioned in both pacifist and genocide. In genocide its mentioned by Undyne. In pacifist it's mentioned by Asriel

I just now noticed that the bag of dog food in alphys' lab was "half-full" in the pacifist run and "half-empty" in the genocide run

Undyne: "there's a burning feeling I cant describe, that wont let me die" Everyone: You mean like... determination?

Toby is a literal genius for making undyne and sans so hard, so when you finally defeat them, you are so happy and feel no remorse for killing them.

omg... I looked up what Chara meant in Irish after what he said... _it means friend_.

I like how Gerson knows that you can't kill him in the shop menu, that's pretty cool

I just realized Undyne wouldn’t have died after the fight yet if it weren’t for the intense power of Determination catching up with her body. She was even trying to refuse death at the end.

I can just imagine the sound of Frisk stabbing a monster and the echo flowers are literally gonna repeat those stabbing sounds

Aaron is actually the strongest character in undertale because he fights you by flexing and not hitting you, imagine the power

Alphys was watching Undyne fight Frisk, so unless she was too busy evacuating people, she would have seen Undyne' s death? nopenopenope just thinking about Alphys having to deal with that is just NOPE

if he thinks undyne was hard he's gonna have a bad time

I really wish Mettaton NEO was one of the challenging boss fights in this route. He deserved so much more than a one-shot death like that

The Genocide route weirdly gives more insight into everyones characters, undying litterally not dying just to get revenge and trying to save everyone is one of my favorite moments in undertale.

Am I the only one who finds the phrase "But nobody came" really unsettling?

Woahhh in Genocide, Monster Kid tells you to be less rough when he boosts you up on his shoulders. Chara really be out here stomping on this kid.

18:47 Chara doesn't force you to do a no mercy route, so Frisk isn't possessed by anyone. The only person that forces Frisk to do a no mercy route is the player themselves.

Gerson is self aware? I just noticed he said 'You can't fight me here anyway' which is referencing he's in a shop, not the overworld, so you can't trigger a fight

Back when I did the genocide route, I used the glitch where you press up and down against a wall to make frisk walk on the spot, and even then it took AGES to get all the encounters. I give Jack major props for just straight up walking around normally trying to get them

who has realized that chara takes it easy on the side people but then just goes ultra instinct goku on the bosses

Fun facts: - Undyne is for “undie” because she can’t die with a single blow - Undyne also did not die because you killed her, but as you see she melted. Which means it’s her determination that killed her. Remember, the true lab? Monsters in there were also melting, and it’s because we injected determination in them

Every time Jack dies I like to think it's an alternate timeline where Undyne wins and takes your soul breaks the barrier tells the humans about what happens and they get money for it and gives all the monster a funeral and Papyrus' tombstone is in the shape of his head

It took him 2 hours to beat undyne? Wow, I wish I was that good at undertale.

"An angel, the one who has seen the surface, will return and the underground will go empty" this can of course be interpreted in 2 ways. Pacifist and Genocide both have different meanings (of course it means nothing to neutral cause that ends after the omega flowery boss fight). The angel in the pacifist route is of course Asriel because he sets everyone free and the underground goes empty. The "angel" in the genocide is chara because they kill everyone and the underground (from what the player sees) is empty. I find this very interesting.

I love how during the fights with Undyne, Jack’s hair gets messier each time 😂

The golden flower seeds are sticky right? That's what it says in Alphys's lab. So the fallen humans have the seeds on them when they fall. Has anyone counted how many yellow flower beds there are? Seven maybe? All the places where humans fell down?

The emotions that he and others feel while playing this game shows just how well this game was written and developed. Kudos to the creators of Undertale, amazing game.

I noticed that before Undyne disappeared she started to melt and say like the amalgamates. She also talked about an unknown feeling that wouldn't let her die. Did Alphys do determination experiments on Undyn?

I like to think that, when Frisk fell, they died. Since they fell onto the bed of flowers Chara's body was buried, Chara's lingering soul fused with Frisk's dying one, and they got revived as a single entity. Since it's two souls fused into one, it would explain why Frisk has more Determination than Flowey, his "you and your stolen soul" comment, and the "but it refused" at the end of a True Pacifist run. I'll go into more detail about this theory if the comments want it.

it's really interesting how the game MAKES you feel satisfied about killing the characters you were so attached to by making them so hard to beat. it's like you really become Chara... it's genius.

Me: *watching almost 5 years late* I still kinda want to ask him to do papyrus voice if I met him (I probably won't tho)

What's worse about the Genocide playthrough is characters care about each other so their team attacks prove this. Kill Dogamy and Dogerrassa goes into beast mode and tries to rip you apart. Kill Dogerressa, Dogamy just... shuts down. He doesn't fight back. Kill 01, 02's attacks get stronger. He speaks, if only to threaten and spite you. But if you kill 02 first, 01 just... stands there. Unable to fight. Many monsters mourne over their loved ones. It's so _sad!_

Friendly reminder that Chara does not possess you until the last hit on Sans and onwards. The player is the villain. There is no character to blame, just yourself. They are a child that sees their purpose as mass destruction because of the player. There is evidence of Chara's kind nature in the pacifist route. They're the ones that provide memories of the past that comfort and inform Frisk and Asriel. As well as sacrificing themselves for their family to free them.

When you kill papyrus without doing the genocide run, sans comes up to you without any eyes and says "...you killed my brother". If you kill over 20 monsters and dont do the genocide run, when he calls at the end his eyes dissapear again and he say "Go to hell". I felt so fucking bad

The "you just remembered something funny" on the dog food only happens if you have killed all of the dogs on snowdin.

Its so rare to see a game that makes you just be the bad guy with little to no justification for your actions

The only reason you see Toriel and Asgore's souls when they die is because they have Boss Monster souls.

Oh my god. I just realised. “There’s a flyer for a bake sale on [the spiderweb]” A fly-er. On a spiderweb.

The Riverman is one of the few NPCs that doesn't evacuate the place (this, obviously so that the player still has quick transportation.) but I also find it curious that he doesn't treat you differently even in the genocide.
