Shoot I have no clue what you guys make out that way but I have heard it’s hard out there. Luckily for me I’m pretty centered between probably 8-12 yards that are all within 300miles of me. And I have 3 that are within 150 miles of me

You need a company who has contracts! Not running off Central Disp exclusively! These 9 cars can gross a half million per year. As an owner op OTR you could take home a clean 250k up to 350k depending on your expenses and contracts and if you have a good tax accountant!

What are your thoughts on centralize dispatch and new rules that we cant use personal conveyance? Im a urs driver for almost 17 years and im given some of the lowest paid loads ive seen in years since central dispatching started.

To be honest I haven’t liked it but I also say give everything 6 months before passing final judgment. As for the pc thing I was told that’s a terminal decision not from the top down. But if ppl were abusing it then the top would stop person by person but if everyone at a terminal got it taken away that was a decision made be the terminal manager. I also don’t pc hardly ever unless I’m on my 34 which happens like once or twice a year that I’ll stay out for it. I’m normally home.

Those are just the metal hooks from broken bungee cords and I just hook them over the plastic for the roof

How much do you average a week as a company driver ? Also how much can I average a month as an owner operator ? Which location is best to work at ? I live near Detroit, MI

My average is gonna be around 2000-2500 weekly. As for what you can make per month really depends on how hard you run and for what yard your hired out of won’t matter much because your an owner op. Your home terminal is only gonna matter on your first load out on the week because you can run anywhere else and grab your next load. But I’ll say you should be able to make around 40 a month at pretty much any yard as an oo. With that said we have a guy at West Point that’s an oo that doesn’t ever go home and he’s pulling 60k months for the last few

Then you have weeks like mine only grossing 900 because of breakdowns and when I was able to deliver my third load. The bright side I got to work 7 days in a row. 🤬 I work out of nor cal united road

I’m having one of those weeks this well. Monday Knox sensor Tuesday was a new tire for a worn out tire which I knew I was replacing so no biggie. But I got to the yard to load blew the Hydrolic line on the back deck of the trailer 5.5 hours for the Hydrolic guy to come out and fix it. It’s Saturday and I’m just now grabbing my second turn for the week lol.

Honestly I don’t know that would be something to talk to a recruiter about. But to be honest if you own the truck they can’t tell you where or what you have to haul it’s your truck your fuel. But I’ll say you should be able to pretty easily hit 8-10k a week

If your leasing on what yard your assigned to won’t matter all that much that only matters for your out going load after that you can run whatever United road high paying freight you want. As a leased oo your in charge of your ship if a company tries to force you to run a load you don’t want to that makes you a company driver no longer a 1099.
