I’m an African who lives in USA permanently… 9yrs and still counting. I’ve been able to see this thing called marriage from 2 different views, the most important thing is COMMUNICATION, love is just one factor but communication triumphs because it cuts across race, personality, personal preference and several other unique factors.
This take is so flawed. The interpersonal skills you need in romantic relationships are no different than any other relationship. Aside from going to bed with a person, you need to be able to communicate, apologize, think rationally, express feelings appropriately and so on in EVERY relationship. It's odd how ppl think you only need these skills in romance. It's applicable across the board.
