In his final "I am" statement, Jesus tells his disciples that he is the "True Vine" and that all who believe in him are his branches. This sermon, based on John 15, addresses three aspects of Jesus' claim. First, we learn about the necessity of bearing fruit; true believers are fruitful Christians who look more like Jesus as they grow. Second, we see that the key to bearing fruit is to abide in Jesus. Finally, we see that the evidence of our fruit-bearing is in many attributes, the most obvious of which is love.
