Sounds nothing like a woodwind, and that’s an insult. The trumpet is bright and flashy, which is exactly how she performed this solo. A woodwind could never (except maybe saxophone but that’s just brass with a reed)

I'm a trombone player. Playing notes on high ledger lines hurts my lips after a while; I cannot imagine how difficult it'd be for trumpets considering the mouthpiece

This is rlly hard to play super fast and accurately. I can play this, but at a much slower tempo, this is very impressive. I can’t even tell if she’s using double tongue or slurring it, which makes it all the better bc it shows how great her technique is.

Some people can play complicated passages by getting into the zone. They just have it buried in their subconscious and need to let it out. Not her, she was pure focus the whole time. That was a feat of fully conscious brainpower.

Yes, I hate how people are trying to downplay her skill as if she was in a “trance” or something. She was focused and played each note being fully aware of every one of them, making sure they’re all played correctly. If you stop focusing while playing an instrument, it becomes obvious

This solo is not really super difficult, it’s something I played in college and throughout my 20’s. You should keep practicing your clarinet and try other instruments as well to see which ones you’re most interested in!

I play french horn and not trumpet but let me just say how IMPRESSIVE this is! Its so incredibly hard to have this much control of your notes when playing a brass instrument. True hard work and talet this gal has!
