This is honestly so triggering, this story reminds me so much of my highschool ex. We dated for almost 4 years and I found out at 3 years he was cheating and texting other girls the entire time. I definitely do argue with you, people just assume that cheating instantly means “having a physical connection” with someone else which in reality it’s not there’s multiple types of cheating and believe it or not emotionally cheating is the worse because to put your all into somebody who’s busy making connection with another girl hurts. Starts to make you feel like your not good enough.

I know this was probably one of the hardest things you’ve had to have gone through relationship wise and I’m extremely sorry.. this truly sucks. But I know you can find so much positivity in this experience. It teaches you what you love about love and what you hate about it. It shows you how strong of individual you are to not only bounce back, but use what you have learned and apply that to future relationships. I am so so so proud of you for posting this! I have a similar story. When I was 16/17 I started to like this boy in my class, we grew up going to school together and didn’t talk much until high school. I really liked him, started talking more, and thought he liked me, saw him being flirtatious with other girls at school and it kind of turned me off. He reassured me they were friends, so on and so forth. Once we started dating and it became evident, it was like s*** hit the wall, all these girls were telling me this that and the other about him, some seemed upset, wouldn’t talk to me, I didn’t understand it at the time. 6 months later started to say things felt different a little but still loved me. Red flag number one. Then 5 months later continued to tell me we were done, he was over me because he lost feelings. He began to drag me back and forth and make me feel like he wanted me one minute then didn’t another, and we dated on and off for another 4 months. Little did I know with us dating on and off those months he was talking to other girls in an inappropriate manner, even towards the end of our relationship planning his next one. It was tough to hear, and I kept my side in because granted I felt dumb to let him back in, but I felt like despite what happened and the betrayal I had, no one would understand because I “must’ve done something wrong” I should’ve known from the beginning, BUT flash forward 3 years I have such an amazing husband that I never knew I would find at such a young age and he is amazing! Learn from the experience, grow, and love!

As someone who has been in your shoes, you are not alone. I went thru this all of last year and it was as if I was living a nightmare. There are sadly too many narcissistic boys out there, that just come to ruin. After 8 months of therapy, I am getting better and I know you will too. From experience, although hard to find, it’s easiest to be in relationships with guys that don’t have more than maybe one or two social media accounts. It alleviates a lot of heartbreak and honestly shows where his heart is in the relationship. I know this day and age it’s tough but I’m 25 and have been with the same man for 4 years with very little drama. Of course they can always find a way but if they do then they weren’t right for you anyway. Take care of yourself ❤️
