31:08 check the argument between Paul and Peter (and all other apostles on his side) during the council of Jerusalem in Acts 15:19-29. They definitely had a conflict there but the resolution led to the church keeping united in the teaching and the Gospel being spread all over their modern world.

14:30 Eddy says “even in the very beginning we believe in a very very different things” Acts 2:42 states that the early church in Jerusalem “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching” which implies that there was one coherent teaching for every new believer. My question is why our understanding of the Gospel is different depending on the tradition even though the early church had unity about it up until the 3rd century? This question is directly related to your personal accountability topic inasmuch as how can we demand accountability if we are not united in the teaching?

12:07 Denis cites 1 Peter 3:15-16 where it says “«always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you”. This is a great passage and I believe it is connected to my argument above. How can we be prepared to make a defence of what we believe (because “the reason for the hope that is in you” is basically what we believe in) if our understanding of the Gospel is different even though the early church managed to have unity in this?

16:48 I absolutely agree. But how can we teach people how to behave in the church if everyone has their “own” theology? This is exactly the reason why as Denis said people in the church perceiving themselves as kings. Well, yeah, I believe what I believe. This is generic postmodernism (aka individualism) which can be solved by uniting in the teaching.

44:20 exactly. Are you sure that word “tradition” in this verse means a custom? This is found in 2 Thessalonians 2:15. Paul is referring to the teaching here. To the teaching of how to actually live according to the gospel (see verse before that).
