Since mason isn’t in multiplayer my theory is that mason is gonna get a call from nato telling him they need to find russel Adler and woods, mason will be the season 2 operator and they go on a searching for him which reveals more of story and backstory of alder

I doubt Alder is going to get brainwashed since he has voicelines such as "The numbers Mason, what do they mean?" Every operator has the line, but there's no way to activate that voiceline for now. My guess for a new Warzone event where you interact with a Mason NPC.

Few things to add: First, the mission where Mason and Hudson rescue Woods takes place in July 1986, and its explicity said by Hudson and Colonel North that Woods was sent on the mission to Angola just a few days prior. So Stitch sending Woods to Menendez as a gift is impossible to happen. Second, we know that Mason was inactive for a while prior to rescuing Woods, considering the mall raid takes place in 1984 and only Woods is part of Adler's team is safe to say by 1984 is 'retired' while raising David.

@@DarkLordoftheOldRepublic it does intertwine with the new MW universe. There is a lot of intel you can find on Verdansk relating to all the black ops characters. Also, Zakhaev is in Cold War. Waw, BO1, and MW2019 are part of the story. I think they’re re-writing most of black ops 2 because woods just died/got captured in this new cutscene.

Woods was only captured for a few weeks, not 3 years, in the Black Ops 2 campaign Hudson tells Mason Woods and a team were sent somewhere on assignment and were captured (By Menendez) leading into that first BO2 mission, that second theory just isn't possible

Woods was held by Menendez in 1986 in BO2, they would have waited 3 years to free him ? + Woods was a prisoner along his whole squad, it doesn't really fit with this cutscene, I'm not even sure BO2 is still canon at this point anyway

He didn’t actually “betray” Bell... Bell was always an enemy. He was working w Perseus and was simply taken in and brainwashed to work w Adler and the team until they were able to stop Perseus. There is no use for them after that nor can you risk having loose ends.

My theory is that Bell survived the shot and will save Adler from Stich even with a few operators Edit: It's close to it being the end of cold war and there's still no Bell operator we might see them in season 6 but that's unlikely maybe we might see Perseus or Bowman's son.
