One more tip - each ear may need different size tips too ! In my case, I always paired both with same size and it wasn’t working out…until….one day, it struck me - xs for my left ear and S for my right ear! Besides this, I found that if your ear is sweaty, it may slip them out as well. If you consider these factors, you will find perfect fit!.
I used XS tips for the first time today and your so right and no more discomfort lol I thought the stock ear tips sucked cuz the silicon were rubbing against my ear and causing discomfort. It’s not supposed to create a seal around the edges in your ear it’s supposed to create a seal on the narrow part of the ear canal only. Genius Sam. Thanks so much finally won’t have to return them.
As a nurse I can confidently say that during my training when we studied the structure of the ears our lecturer pointed out that sometimes it is the folks with the larger ears that have the narrowest ear canal. I have small(ish) ears but my doctor tells me I have a wider ear canal than would normally be the case. I’ve always had to use largest ear tip when listening to music on my AirPods Pro and Beats Fit Pro. But a friend with quite big ears (not big enough to look weird though) has to use the smallest size ear tips with his Beats Fit Pro to get the best seal. I think we should be able to choose exactly what size ear tips we get when we buy new AirPods Pro of Beats Fit Pro because when we get 3 different sizes of tips if we lose one of them the spare tips we have aren’t really any use to us. I would choose to get 3 pairs of the largest size tips with new buds because it would be the largest size I needed if I lost one of the tips off my buds!
thank God i've never had an issue with the git of AirPods Pro in my ears , the medium and large ear tips fits me just well, yes the second generation AirPods Pro are a big update and i LOVE Spatial Audio. i leave it on all the time, it makes all songs much better and immersive in my opinion, worth every penny .
Damn LOL. After watching this video I decided to try out the small tips (I always just assume I need medium or large so I hadn’t even tried them). They stay in my ear better as well! I’m so glad I came across this video because I’d already seen plenty of reviews and had already been using my AirPods for a little over a month and had settled on the large ear tips, thinking I was maximizing the seal in the ear haha. They stay in place better now and more easily sit snuggly in my ear with the small tips! Thanks for the “tip” 😂 cheers!
This was a VERY helpful video as I returned mine because they also kept falling out of my ears. Now I’m wondering if the smaller ear tips would have solved it for me… 😀
had both pro generations and recently tried the bose QC 2 earbuds. I got to say pro 2 was good but the QC noise canceling and sound was a bit better. same with fit
The best way to avoid them falling out is to twist them upwards after placing them in your ear. One thing I hate about these airpods though is that you can hear your heartbeat. Anyone else?
I’m assuming this is because your working out or something? Rather than resting heart rate. Could be wrong but that’s an internal sound not external, that along with all the blood vessels being pumped with blood….that’s not exactly something any headphone can stop you from hearing
If you can hear your heartbeat, maybe it’s not the Airpods Pro 2 problem. You should consult to a doctor to check your heart because that’s not normal my friend
yes! ❤️ these airpods! my fave apple product in years. Having ANC on while in the subway etc is amazing! just great not having to turn up the volume ALL THE WAY in order to understand whats being said. 🙏
The problem for me is that the neck to the ear tip is not long enough to go deep into my ear canal. I had an old pair of skullcandy earbuds and they were longer and went into my ear further.
AirPods Pro 1 didn’t work for me, so I went to an Apple Store to try the XS tips. I immediately knew that they fit, and I have used them every day since December. Best Apple product of 2022 easily.
Never assume. I tried on all sizes and ran the seal test on all sizes before making a decsion. For me, they all passed most of the time, but the small and large occasionally lost the seal, so I ended up with the default middle ones.
This might be what I need. The Airpods pro 1 never stays in my ear and I've tried all the tips that came in mine. Perhaps I need the XS tips. Thanks for this idea
One day I went to work during my night shift, nothing different, some guy relived me for the day and I drive home. Family was being pretty loud for a morning so wanted to put in my ear buds so I can fall asleep at 8 AM Oh no! My earbud wasn’t in my case, I only had one in it. I got up and drove 30 minutes back to my job to see if I could find it, no dice. I came back at night for my shift and asked around if they’ve seen a earbud around, no dice. I whipped out my phone and used the locator option to see if I could some how get close to it and find it. Couldn’t, played a sound and didn’t hear it. I gave up, went back to my car was coming to the conclusion that I wouldn’t see it again. Thanks to the long battery life and the new chip in the ear buds, I tried it for a last time as a final Hail Mary, and heard a sound coming from the dumpster. The morning guy sweeped it up from the parking lot and threw it in the dunpster. I used the location feature to end up finding out it was in the dumpster with the trash of the day. I climbed in it with the help of the staff at night and scoured the contents of the trash, ended up finding it Thanks Apple, for over engineering the AirPods Pro 2
Can someone PLEASE tell me why my AirPods Pro 2 will say they are connected, will show they are connected on my phone, and the audio will just completely cut out and there’s NO sound. No matter how many times I take them out put them back in the case and pulled them back out. I’ve made my phone forget the device and I’ve re-added it SO many times. Yet randomly listening to music, or watching movies/ videos they randomly just cut off the audio completely while still saying they are connected. Help I just wanna use my AirPods.
The fact that the case charges by not only qi charging but MagSafe AND the AppleWatch charger is impressive. Who plugs in their phone or AirPods case? Lol
I have them. I'm underwhelmed by them. The ANC is variable, I personally find the stem-squeeze fiddly and annoying, and the sound quality is middling. They're one of very few Apple products I've owned since the mid 80s I wouldn't immediately want to replace if I lost them. I often run with my Bose Sport buds and very much prefer the sound quality, although the volume change steps are too wide and the triple-tap to skip is irritating. I really liked the buttons on the SoundSport Free and wish they'd been retained.
I'm forever forgetting if I put them in my ear. LEGIT don't feel them, kinda weird. I can wiggle my ears, so that's how I check if they're in in case my hands are full 💀

I bought a pair of cone shaped Chinese made silicon eartips and that was the solution. The tip needs to get narrower to wedge into your canal properly and a cone shape that’s wider up front and gets narrow by the end is the solution.
Oh boy. I have the original airpods pro, which stay in my ear while I'm stationary, and I use them daily for work calls. However, when I'm doing anything else after work, even cleaning, I use beats fit pro. I paid full price for the beats at launch because the airpods fell from my ear while doing anything requiring movement. I'm happy with the beats, and they are VERY VERY secure in my ear, but now I'm afraid if i try the small airpods tip they will fit and not fall out of my huge ears. And so, of course, I will have wasted my money on the beats if that is indeed the case. The sound quality, mic quality, call quality, noise cancelation and transparency are all superior on the airpods pro. The best thing the beats has going for it is that stem that sticks into your upper ear making them ultra secure....
1gen 100% better. i use these on my bike and the difference is night & day for the amount of wind that passes through. i will be paying attention to the 14 day return window for now on.
What a great advice to try the xs version. Never heard before. It feels good in both ears but doing the test my iPhone gives me the advice to switch on the right up to the big ones. On the left side xs fits. Any additional comments?
I thought sort of the same thing I figured I'm a man I got a big head so I should be using the large....NO the extra small was the best I noticed a marked difference in sound I had no idea. Also, I switched to hybrid silicon foam that were much less irritating to wear again wear the small.
It’s like all these RU-vidrs tell us “15 reasons not to use this product” and then say “15 reasons to use this product”…… followed by “I was wrong” etc etc etc…. Holy sh*t balls batman😂😂😂😂 One thing I find weird asf is the left AirPod struggles charging sometimes… 🤷♂️ I clean the end of it and the inside of the case and it’s never enough 😂
Same. My left airpod does not charge sometimes. Had the same problem with the 1.gen of pros. It startet 1-2 weeks ago. Maybe I will try resetting them, when I am able to remove my case for the case 😂
Hey bro, what about incoming call problem. My EarPods discount or hold for 10-15 secs. Till that time my callers decline their calls. For out going call it is ok…this problem only for me or it’s a universal thing????? i need answer or full video for this. Thanks
But they still have the problem of not always connecting when answering a call then I’m like “hold on a sec” for 30 to 60 seconds while I pu it back in case then try to get it to reconnect. Sometimes I just have to hang up, play some music so they connect then call the person back.
Honestly thinking that Apple will make the volume button out of glass like the 5g window. It would be great if they could implement the 5g antenna in the volume button!!
Make it so it tells me the charge I got left without putting them back in the case ….and don’t always remind me the are connected lol otherwise the really are perfect
