3 very clear stages of Ajs career, pre ruiz, pre usyk 2 and post usyk 2. will be interesting to see how he finishes up, but it has been a roller coaster.

Very easy to define it by his only losses. How can not include post Klitschko? Or the fact he came back and beat Ruiz
@1boreal
@1boreal 3 дня назад
@@olliedeaney8740 Losses are probably the best way as he changed his fighting style significantly after each one. Before Ruiz he threw more combinations. After Ruiz he boxed more on the back foot After Usyk 2 he started mixing it up more. I know there are exceptions but by and large that is how his career has played out.

Incorrect , the biggest change was after the Klitschko fight , not because of the fight itself, but his next fight , I believe against Parker, he had changed his style into an upright relaxed boxer and ever since a couple fights after that because that style kills ur talent, he’s been trying to find his talent again, and he seems to have somewhat found some of it with Ben , can’t wait to see how this fight goes
@1boreal
@1boreal День назад
@@youtubesongsffdf He fought like Pre- Klitschko Aj against Povetkin and Ruiz...its what ultimately cost him. ... Parker was an exception...as i said there are some exceptions. Generally though , the biggest most consistent changes came after his defeats.

I agree to a point, but you can't say "proper man". After throwing a mans hard won belts out of the ring, then stealing the microphone. I do like AJ, but that was beyond poor behavior. I've never actually seen that happen in boxing before. I'm aware he was upset he'd lost twice in a row to usyk, but you can't justify that. He's never even apologized for it.

AJ always had Fury’s number. Fury has problems with systemic coordination which often leads him to getting tangled up and hurt even against week opponents like Wallin or Pajkic (which would be a problem against AJ as he probably has the best uppercut in the division right now) and doesn’t have good posture for a professional as well as often not full sitting on his punches not utilizing his reach fully and weight, resulting in him being inefficient at times, furthermore the opposition he has faced has often been poor compared to AJ’s, AJ is good at intercepting right hands by going deeper through the center line which allows him to safely intercept jabs with a cross a vise versa which shows a good punch selection,

Where did the rumor of A.J. having a "weak chin" come from? Was that just from guys who sparred with him? It usually seems like it takes a lot of work to put him on the canvas. Andy did it, but it was more of a headshot. Andy must hit hard if he broke his hand on big baby's head and could barely use his hand the rest of that fight. Doesn't seem like A.J. goes down from chin shots.

Helenius was there to survive, not get kod, and hope he gets a lucky chance to get a ko. It's always difficult against someone doing that. Helenius was always limited defensively but that was mainly when actually fighting. He was still a pretty talented fighter, and put all that into surviving. That along with Helenius being a much bigger target than AJ had been training for just made everything awkward. You heard him come in confused in the corner and mention that his right is just off. There was no real danger, just AJ going through the motions in an awkward fight, until his distance and timing got better. The Whyte win made the UK pay attention while the Vlad one made the World pay attention I actually think his best fight was against Whyte he was ruthless in it its close between those two anyway.

Against AJ level of recent competition, DD is his toughest challenge since Usyk 2, now we see the real Joshua

AJ does not like to make excuses, he did say that something was off going into that 1st fight with Andy, he said he will speak on it once he is retired or write a book and put this in it

I hate when people don’t realize AJ and Wilder didn’t put on gloves until after high school! The fact they both went to Olympics in a few years and had the success thru did is a testament to how hard they worked and natural athletic gifts. “But Tyson would have beaten them!” You mean the kid who was bred to be a champion by a legendary trainer at age 12? Also the Fury trainer situation reminds me of the whole team Alpha male and Cody Gabrandt trying to beat Dominick Cruz. Team Alpha male hated Cruz but Cruz beat all of them. Then they created Cody who was the perfect foil for Cruz. Problem was Cody went 1-5 in his next fights. I think Hill made Fury the perfect fighter to beat Wilder. But I think Fury lost some of the style that made him great

Thing is, AJ beats Tyson at any point in their career. How many times has fury been knocked down? ANd no one with AJs finishing

He wasn't fighting monsters like Bakole, Zhang, Ajagba, Joyce, Kabayel, and instead 40 year old small men. But neither did Fury and Wilder to be fair.

So when AJ collected 3 belts off 3 champs?

He beat Zhang in the amateurs, where Zhang had vastly more experience and was much faster and threw more punches than today. Bacole only became a pro in 2019 pmsl

Those fights after ruiz 1 made me think AJ was done he just looked scared to throw the big punches in case he got stopped again but credit to him and ben davison they brought him back and he looks more dangerous than ever

Geordie, Nate Diaz was out on his own jogging in Newcastle today. He ran past some lad who was like WTF?. He ended up chatting and they took him in a Greggs , while people got pictures and stuff.

I get that there's some shitty politics in boxing , but calling all belt holders " World " champion is complete disrespect to the man Usyk , or any other unified/undisputed champion. I really hope Turki shakes up the belt bollocks , and has just ONE belt , One world champ . USYK 👊💪💥

I mean the Ruiz fight was a pretty big turning point for his career. But I think the fight that changed him for the worse was the Klitschko

For AJ to begin boxing 🥊 at 18. Become a 🥇 medalist, unified all the titles minus the WBC. Lost it, won it back in a shutout IMHO against Ruiz. Excluding his meltdown during his 2nd loss to Usyk. He could have moved to 🇺🇸 and become an instant millionaire in the NFL. As a boxing fan I want to see AJ fight Zhilei Zhang regardless of the outcome of Dubois VS Joshua.

I don't understand what AJ has done to create such a ground swell of belief in his future. Ruiz beat AJ and Joyce beat Dubois. Usyk beat both. If AJ had beat Miller and Hrgovic you'd all be calling the Dubois fight a mismatch. AJs PR machine has got everyone brainwashed. 50/50 fight and that will play out on the night.

Current AJ is not the most entertaining or barnstormer BUT it is the best (as a boxer) we have seen. I never rated AJ apart from his power but I really like this AJ 2.0 👏👏👏
