THE TRUTH ABOUT BCA CAR AUCTION MIS-SELLING CARS! 

I was a car trader many years ago, I’m amazed how things have changed. 20 or 30 years ago, if you bought a 10 year old car at auction nobody would ever dream of going back and complaining about anything, especially a 350 quid car. Things must have changed a lot if you have any kind of warranty on a car in that price range.

The car was purchased in a No Reserve Auction - Sold as is - no warranties or anything…. Let’s be factual

It's £350.... No reserve auction.... Get real

It's a no reserve auction the regular auctioneer always says expect the worst n sometimes be pleasantly surprised ..... all ukn are sold like that..... it'd be nice with issues mentioned but we all know how we buy .... its a numbers game ..... I've just chucked 3 over the weighbridge but I'll be back tomorrow!!!!

BCA are a terrible auction house now. They are taking advantage of the Online Bidding process to stitch up buyers. Bought loads of cars from them over the years, but now won't buy from them.

What is latest report on this car? I am curious did you manage to sell it.

I mean this with the all the kindness I can give.. Its like you know nothing about cars, auctions, business, buying.. Life You bought a car from the 'We buy any car vendor', for £350 (probably £700 after fees), then got upset because this high mileage old AF' petrol banger with an oil leak had an issue.. There is no way youre gonna fix all those issues on the MOT, prepare the car for sale, then make a profit. Im pretty sure anyone checking the MOT history on this car, can see that its currently unsafe having failed a new MOT. You learnt a lesson, you bought a car probably worth £999. Scrap it, and maybe look at something lower risk, that you could sell in bulk, ie clothing.. There is nothing honourable about buying cars, that people have sent to 'we buy any car' to get rid of..

He's bought an old knacker from a an auction for £350 that he is going to add £1250 profit on and sell to a punter. Caveat emptor mate. Win some lose some. Fix it or break it.

Cars are cheap at auction because they are sold for a reason. You bought this Polo for deathtrap money . If you are not handy with the spanners and prep yourself you are inevitably heading for a hiding . Its a difficult and stressful business hence the rewards can sometimes be decent.

I wouldn't spend my money at any BCA auction they have totally gone down hill.

I’ve had 2 similar experiences with BCA & 2 completely different results. Personally I think thurleigh is just bad to buy from in general. - bought Mini Cooper auto from thurleigh. Essential check was clean apart from low oil & no MOT. I get there the car has engine management light on, exhaust is blown completely & cars absolutely battered. They weren’t having any of it. - bought a mini manual from Bedford. Turned up and the passenger carpet was flooded & mould everywhere. They came and inspected the car. I requested a refund and they were happy to do so. Shame really cos your right if they described them better, we would have more confidence to allocate budget etc and pay more.

Unfortunately the lot number responds to a Ex- We buy and Car vehicle, which a lot are sold from Thurleigh ( difficult place to get too), I purchased a 2014 1 owner £3,000 car sold with a Full Green Tick report & well under 100k miles, Drove it back home got 1/2 way back & the STOP sign came up, unfortunately the dreaded DPF issue, cost me £1,400 to sort out, I didn't bother calling BCA as I know what they are like as I would have got nowhere anyway & just as well saved my breath, I bought 3 ex - WBAC cars and every single one off them had Major Hidden Issues, Obviously I don't buy them anymore.

Mate, I do exactly what you do. Don't fall into the trap of spending money in a car that's a lost cause. At that sort of age and mileage you're looking at a very low sale price. I'd either try and sell as or just get the cutting out fixed then sell.

I think you cant say 1 bca is bad they all are the same you will never get a refund from them dont matter what you do the calling goes straight to slags who work at home and have no idea what to do or say rather stick to Manheim much better 😊

Just re watched. Yes BCA are the very worst. Treat us patrons like vermin. Cannot believe emailed you half way didn’t make good will offer cancel sale. It’ll just re sell again. That’s bca for you !!! Lovely. I have used them 19 years with 3.5 years off for hating on them so much

Very brave to drive home in that condition. I would have probably gone home and arranged a trailer to pick it up and then asked for some contribution towards the cost from BCA. Hopeful understand but BCA is about volume and customer service is very poor. Any way I’m sure you will make profit

I had a car delivered to me from BCA from Nottingham .. When come to service the oil coming out was like milkshake . No mention on essential report of oil/coolant contamination and when i called BCA to report they said send photos but we cant do anything about. Its an essential report. I am wary of buying from BCA Nottingham now. @slademotors
