Defenses don’t respect the 9ers offense downfield. That’s why he is getting sacked. The defense is playing the line of scrimmage. It’s good coaching

49ers ruined their culture. Jed york was bragging about culture when they signed lynch. and lynch ruined it. they need to make a serious 0 tolerance policy against hold outs. stop rewarding hold outs. because its just going to get worse and worse. they had perfect opportunity to make an example of aiyuk to stop this from happening. but now they have to worry about critical players doing this next season. if purdy does it or warner does it... smh... they really should have just set the 0 tolerance policy to hold outs. any player missing training camp that wasnt injured will be traded or released from the team. (depending on the dead money hit, if dead money is too much then just bury them in the depth chart).

acting too damn desperate for no reason. they will trade away buckner but keep aiyuk? this makes no damn sense at all. i know shanahan isnt stupid. i know that he saw exactly what i saw last season. aiyuk was NOT an elite WR. the only reason he was AP because of purdy's anticipation throws to him in zone coverage. once DCs caught on to that aiyuk was completely shut down which is why from christmas on aiyuk barely had a game. aiyuk is not able to create seperation on his own. he needs scheme to get open. i was wishing he would have got traded so bad so that 49ers fans can see how bad he actually is. and the fact that we could have had cooper on a trade from the browns would have been crazy. to get a true WR1 on this team would have been CRAZY awesome for this offense. all i know is that we are stuck with the most expensive WR combo and dont even have a true WR1. like justin jefferson is a true #1. someone getting paid 30 million should be a complete game changer where DCs need to dedicate 2 defenders type player. i mean aiyuk is not on the level of st brown, ceedee lamb, none of them. and as of now jennings looks like a much better WR than aiyuk.

@@piffdaddy420you don’t know what you’re talking about. Aiyuk is one of the few players on this team who can get separation on their own. Watch the all 22.

@@braydonguitar649 yes he absolutely was able to get separation last year. I think he just has to get up to speed this year and hopefully return to his former self.

Most of my Vikings sacks came from 71’s side. I love Trent Williams but you could clearly see he’s no where near game shape. In shape there’s no one better at tackle.

@@BearPapa49 they also exposed a lack of speed. They knew the only way the Niners could score in that game was to methodically drive the ball down the field. No speed, no explosives. So they cheated up, blitzed a bunch, controlled the short to intermediate, and forced Brock and Shanahan to adapt. They didn't. Add in some costly defensive and special team miscues, and that's all she wrote.

I don't think Kyle called a very good game. He didn't adapt to the blitzes they were bringing, and everything just seemed vanilla. He also went away from the run in some situations that didn't make any sense to me, like on 1st and goal from the 4 on their first drive. I also think that game showed that Trent and BA are rusty and maybe not in football shape. It wasn't as evident in the game against the Jets, but in this one, they were both exposed. I kept thinking Kyle needed to get other guys involved, but right now you've got CMC and Pearsall on IR/NFI, Mason coming off a game where he had 30+ touches, and Aiyuk not in the groove. That leaves Deebo, Kittle, JJ, and Conley (because it's clear Kyle has no desire to use Cowing). You'd think those guys would be enough, but there is not a lot of speed in that group. The Vikes knew that, and cheated up a lot which allowed them to suffocate us. There were no explosive plays at all. Closet thing was a couple of Mason's runs, but without the threat of speed downfield, the Vikes were able to control the short to intermediate, and that's all it took. There was no moment in that game when I thought they were capable of an explosive play. I knew the only way they could score is with a 15 play drive, and a lot of things have to go your way to maintain that long of a drive. Then factor in that red zone conversion hasn't been a bright spot so far this season, and it was a recipe for disaster.

BA was open on a number of plays yesterday - Watch the all 22, BP was hesitant all day and took forever to pass! Most of the sacks were on Brock!

@@Dazza0187 may of looked open to you from that view point but that doesn’t mean it’s open if you were looking from field view. Lotta casual observers seem to miss that point

The coaches got out coached. It was obvious that every play was tough to execute because the opposing coaches had the perfect calls

He's looked off against this type of defense. The Vikings twice, The Ravens and Browns. Something to keep an eye on.

I would disagree in saying Aiyuk was wide open. The other point of consideration for not throwing is also the defenders standing in the way. Most of those opportunities were directly behind the D line or with the corner/safety extremely close with the eye on the ball. All in all just a bad game on the whole team. The fact Purdy was able to throw for over 300 yards with most of the throws into double coverage with not many open, it’s fairly impressive. The whole team stank.

@@jackbenson1747 Aiyuk was definitely wide open ball needed to come out.

He has reads. The coach determines the order of the reads. It depends on which receiver is the #1 read. If BAWas the #1 read then yes he was open and it is the qb's fault. If he was not the #1 then the zone was collapsing on that part of the field and it may have been picked. Bigger source of contention is the fact that these receivers are not creating separation.

Pickens was never available

The disguises fooled him and he just wasn't reading the field at all. He's struggled against this defense. The Vikings twice, Browns and The Ravens. His timing is way off rn

@@bigtim3248 he probably does if he’s able to get to that read. Looks like he worked Aiyuk first then Jennings. Deebo was the shortest route on a 3rd and 12 so he was probably 3rd or 4th in that progression
