I’m 16 and recently decided to that my goal is the NBA. During this quarantine I’ve been working out and doing EGT workouts as much as I can. When gyms open I’ll work even harder. Please keep dropping content to help me on my journey 🙏🏾 ( I’m currently 5’10 and 130 pounds )
This dude is preaching facts. The little things add up to big things for these coaches. I was just reminiscing on UVA’s journey from being the first #1 seed to lose in the Round of 64 in 2018, then coming back in 2019 to win it all.
I’ll always say if they aren’t keeping score, keep a mental score and play to win in a tryout. Obviously try to be an actual presence on both ends but every coach will notice the dude who looks like he’s playing in the championship on every play. Those “hustle” guys we make fun of casually make the team for a reason.
arian anwar do it now especially in this quarantine they are doing nothing just sitting at home so they have time to look at it properly. Make a good HS mixtape
EGTBasketball I’m a freshman right now going into sophomore, but I won’t get highlights till aau starts again. What should I do right now with college coaches
You could take this entire speech verbatim, switch out med school for nba and it would be 100% true. I guess the real lesson here is, no matter what your field of expertise follow the instructions above. lol fantastic!!! I came here initially for pointers on how to communicate with my son, a young athlete, more effectively regarding being elite...
Hey coach, thanks for this! Out of curiosity, is it possible for someone age 30 (with no high school or college experience) to be selected for a G-league team (and possibly future NBA) if the skills, mentality, physical conditioning, etc. is present in tryouts? In other words, will they automatically not allow someone like that, who's a late bloomer, to play because of their lack of official school team experience?
