The secondary market has tanked. Why would anyone even consider this? Plus you would have to be an expert in deciphering real vs these impressive counterfeits China has been producing

This is the most ignorant comment about the luxury watch market I've ever seen. The ENTIRE secondary market has not TANKED. Models like the steel submariner that every AD has 5 of in their safe tanked because it never had value to begin with (something I've been talking about since 2020). Some models were completely unaffected by the boom or "bust" of the last three years, for example many Hublots, Panerai, etc have been trading at the same spreads as pre 2020. It's also not that hard at all to not buy a fake - you just have to know what you are doing and who you are buying from.

@@WatchTradingAcademy I highly doubt you really mean that. It is not even close to ignorant. Just look at the SS Pepsi. At its height it was in the mid 30’s. It’s not even close to that anymore. The subs have also tanked as well on the secondary market. And that’s just on the Rolex side of things. So many grey market dealers are stuck upside down with pieces they overpaid for and are feeling the burn. So many have fallen and out of business. This isn’t 2021 anymore.

Again, you're talking about trash pieces that never had value to begin with. Since 2020 on this channel we've been saying not to buy Pepsis or subs. Just because two of the most hyped up shit models took a dive does not mean the entire market has collapsed.

@@WatchTradingAcademy I wouldn’t go so far as to say that GMT’s and Subs are “Trash Models”. I’m shocked, actually. They are a good barometer of the grey market. Day dates, for example, are barely going above msrp. Let me guess, another trash model? Let’s look at the RM65-01 RG/Tpt.. those are either at sticker or less, and that’s RM!! I seriously don’t know if you’re trying to convince me or yourself at this point. Currently, this market is dead.
