The truth about how we are doing 

Flynn is truly growing up to be such an articulate, kind and funny human with a personality that could win anyone over. Sometimes micromanaging children keeps them from being the best version of themselves but Colleen and Erick have clearly encouraged him to express himself in a manner that allows him to be his authentic self and I think that is so beautiful ❤️

I love how Flynn is just the most distinguished southern gentleman with all his manners and his adorable accent!!

I just love Erik’s involvement in parenting and how he talks to and interacts with the kiddos. Sadly something a lot of us haven’t experienced. It makes me so happy and encouraged to see how good of a dad he is.

Hey speech language therapist here who does lots of feeding therapy with babies. Just some advice on the pacifiers you bought :) Now I’m making an assumption but assuming you’re using these to continue to promote oral motor development I’ve got a few ideas that might help. 1. The binky with the toy often gets really yuck and can be extremely hard to transition kids away from it because they’re attached to the toy 2. Bring Your babies hands to their mouths and let them explore their hands with their mouths. This is really good because it gives babies the control around exploring their mouths 3. Support the binky in their mouth to get a good suck and slowly decrease the amount of time your holding it 4. Let them suck on your pinkie (just watch how far you go) 5. Gently massage their gums with your pinkie 6. Because your babes were NG fed too I would encourage also gently rubbing their cheeks on the outside because sometimes the constant tape from the NG can decrease their rooting reflex Hope this helps! I'm laying in the hospital after having a miscarriage weeping uncontrollably and came across this new vlog & 1. Was reminded Colleen was also once in my shoes & 2. Finally was able to breathe & remember I will be happy again. 😊

It makes me so happy that Colleen didn’t set in her last marriage. She’s so happy now and has an amazing husband that’s an amazing dad to her children. This is why we don’t settle. My expectations of love and relationships grew because of them!

My sister had twins twelve years ago. She said the first three months were the hardest and every three months got incrementally easier. You got this! Having twins in our family has been such an amazing blessing!

Can we all just say thank you to everyone behind the scenes? Thank you Koko, Erik, and your mum and dad!! It's because of them we get to see Colleen as often as we do. You, mama Colleen, are amazing. Do you know what i love? Colleen openly admits that the house is a mess, she's not showered, they're both exhausted but that totally doesn't matter. You just need to look at Flynn to know that a messy house isn't important, hes growing to be the most lovely boy ever because of all the love Erick and Colleen have shown him 💙

Miranda idea: okay hear me out…. What if Miranda got into a “wigs” phase. Like wore really shitty wigs, could clearly see her real hair under it, but claims and swears that she dyed her hair and the wig is her natural hair color. Then like a few videos later, you can reveal her “new hair cut” and say she was embarrassed of it and that’s why she wore wigs. That can be the beginning of Miranda’s new style

Flynn is just a gem, his different accents are adorable he really takes after you. stay strong you got this! the twins are so big OMG

Feeding twins is so hard early on. I'm coming to see you on tour because even though my twins are 30 now and I know you as a pregnant woman and mother, not Miranda, I feel as if I've walked every step of this journey with you. You are amazing.

Obviously we don’t see everything with Flynn and I’m sure he has his moments just like everyone else does, but he genuinely seems like such a chill, smart, caring, and gentle individual. You guys are raising an exceptional person with him and it’s so heartwarming to watch.

Tortilla Talk Question: After Maisy came home, you showed us the pearl necklace you hope to pass down to her one day, and you also talked about Erik having something that he will pass down to Wesley too. But I was wondering whether there is something that will also be passed down to Flynn one day? Love you queen! 💜💜

I don’t know if this is just me, but as a person who grew up with absent/abusive parents and is still severely struggling with the aftermath of it as an adult, watching you guys parent the way you do and seeing the environment you create rubbing off on Flynn, how absolutely wonderful, sweet, kind and funny he is makes my heart fill with gratitude and joy. I’m so happy for all of your kids, and as much as I also feel pangs of jealousy at your family dynamic and also Colleen’s with her family too, it more than anything just makes me SO HAPPY! You have such an important and far-reaching voice, even in ways you may not imagine and I think that goes for everyone, honestly. You never know the way you may affect someone, and honesty and bravery, courage and love are the fastest ways to get to the heart of it all. So anyway, thank you so much for all of your videos. Also the ‘bye’ at the end made me cackle. I love you!

Colleen just in case you didn’t know you can hook the doctor brown bottles up to the Medela connectors. That way you don’t have to transfer milk from one bottle to the next. Great job on the pumping! Praying your breast feeding works out.

Girl you aren’t even 2 months postpartum and OMG you have been rocking this mom x3 life! It’s completely normal to be exhausted. It is completely exhausting.

The whole Chex mix conversation made me so happy. One of the reasons my friends are my friends is because none of us like all the flavours of candy or snacks (ex Chex mix) , but we like the ones the others don't like so we always end up finishing whatever snacks we get.

I have three kids • 5, 3 & 18 months. Momma…I FEEL THIS TO MY CORE. I honestly couldn’t imagine caring for TWO infants and a toddler. Oooof. Sending love and [hopefully] rest for both you and Erik 💕

I lived in Korea and one of the things I loved about the culture is how freaking caring they are. The older ones take care of the little ones but then you also take care of your elders and omg, all the older ladies loved my daughter (she was born in Korea), even when I was pregnant they got up from their seats in the subway (which there are special seats for pregnant peeps and elderly), they gave us so many gifts when they heard we were leaving Korea, till this day I will get random texts from my Korean friends asking if I have eaten. And I don't get that here but I also didn't get that really in Germany (I was born and raised in Germany) so yeah I just miss the Korean culture about caring for one another a bit.

Colleens vlogs are always the highlight to my day, whether it’s a good day for her or a bad day, I feel like when she posts, it’s like getting an update from a super close friend that I haven’t seen in person for a while. I just wanted to say thank you so much Colleen for continuing to stick through posting even with the twins and Flynn and all the stress you must be under right now! I actually commented this a few blogs back when Colleen was talking about body positivity but I think it’s REALLY important everyone sees and knows this: ‘Body positivity’ is about body ACCEPTANCE, about not being discriminatory against other bodies and accepting that everyone looks different and that’s alright! Don’t beat yourself up over not loving how you look every second- that literally happens to every single person on the planet! Self love is about loving the way you look and it’s a journey with ups and downs for all of us, unfortunately a lot of people confuse ‘self love’ and ‘body positivity’. You’re being body positive already by acknowledging the amazing things your body is doing 💜💜

You're very fortunate to have so much help!! One of my friends had identical twin little girls about 7 months ago, her husband works full time and she has no family around to help. She is amazing and makes it seem easy. Her husband's parents came to visit (they live in different country) and babysat one night, it was the first time in 7 months she had a date night out without the babies. She said she ended up missing the twins too much and went home right after dinner.

I absolutely adore Erik & Colleen’s relationship. Relationships have their ups and downs, but you two just compliment each other so well, and it is just so inspiring to witness bits and pieces of a healthy relationship. I look forward to watching your vlogs every day, thank you for all you do 🤍

I know you said the twins don’t enjoy nursing much but tandem nursing will make your life so much easier! I didn’t think it was possible, we tried everything and found that it was so much better than having to clean all the bottles, pump all the time and clean the pump parts. I hope they get more into it soon and you can try to tandem feed! During the day I would often feed whoever woke up first then wake the other one up right after and nurse them but during the night I did all tandem nursing. Did a baby get left on the changing table one time? Yes. Did I fall asleep tandem nursing and wake up for the next feed with my babies sleeping on my lap? Yes! Reborn twin exhaustion is real! But you guys are killing it! One day you will be like “are we on the other side of that scary life where we dreaded night time?” You go girl! And Eric because hubby’s are so important with twins

Shoutout to Cory!!! He is the one making these vlogs possible!! Colleen too because she’s so incredible and I honestly don’t even know how she has only missed 2-5 days of posting even though she went through an entire twin pregnancy, nicu, Christmas, and the change between having 1 and 3 kids. But I think Cory deserves more recognition for what he does behind the scenes!

I use that carpet scraper on my rug and throw pillows every week! it hasn’t ripped it or damaged it at all it just makes that scraping noise. If your worried about tugging or ripping just be mindful of the angle your holding it and how much pressure you’re using. I personally really like it!

That link roller is fantastic! cleaned off my whole couch and loved every minute of it. I was amazed!

When I went from 2 kids to 3 it was SO hard. I can’t imagine suddenly going from 1 to 3. You’re amazing and I’m slightly jealous of how much your family and friends are supporting you❤️

I remember those days... what worked for us is once our twins were 6 weeks was my husband and I slept in seperare rooms with 1 baby each. It helped us sleep more. Once they hit 4mths they started sleeping more and more and were able to sleep train. U are doing amazing 👏

Loving the double intro. I’ve been watching since 2020 March -Quarantine time so it gave a lot of good nostalgia

Twin here and having also a twin brother. I remember my mom telling me once how she feed, cared for us and it sounded so hard as she couldn't leave the bed, because of disc prolapses In the back (because of birth). so my father left in the morning the formula + hot water in a thermocup so that she can prepare the feeding while my father is at work. On Lunch time her came home to give my mom another thermocup filled with hot water and left again for work. They didn't had any additional help. So I'm astonished how they managed it, you will get through this time and it is all worth it! 😊

I'm super depressed but I noticed I was almost smiling watching this vlog, that's really comforting

im just a teenager and this really made me realize how hard the journey was to take care of babies.. having to wake up from the crying in the middle of the night to feed the babies..only that i already can't. this does remind me that i was very loved while growing up and also the importance of respecting parents and to be grateful for them.. needing to handle this for years.. love to every parents out there, hope you are doing well

I have one of those carpet lint thingies and it works SO well on my carpet, because its like proper fluffy and it gets all of my hair out the carpet. It is one of my favourite things to do.

I always recommend to expecting mamas to find a couple of shows to binge during late night feeds. My first born was my mad men baby. Don’t feel the need to defend it. It’s an absolute necessity to make it thru. ❤️

Such a throwback, my husband I used to watch TV and have snacks too all through the night when our twins were babies and up to nurse. It was such a long process like you said! Mine are 5 now. You'll get through this hard part momma!

We are a family of two twins. My brother and I are identical and my older sisters are fraternal. My mother told me she once read a letter in a magazine from a mom who was also about to have her second set of twins and was asking for other moms with the same experience to share it with her. My mom started writing and once she finished she read her letter and realized the letter painted such a horrible picture of being too tired all the time and feeling like a factory, that she decided to not send it. Hahaha. I've finished singles inferno in one go, love the commentary people they've added. Makes it much more fun.
