Let's start a movement to stop this and send them back home! The first action an illegal immigrant takes when entering the country is breaking our laws, and yet our government rewards these people with citizenship? These are the exact people we don't want in our country, they don't care about our laws or societal norms. We need large guarded detention centers that can house 50,000 people each instead of just releasing unknown people into our towns and villages. Put them in tiny cells for 10 years with no internet or electronic devices, then send them back home, and permanently ban them from even becoming a citizen. Why should we jail them for 10 years? Because they need to know there are consequences, if we catch and release they'll just re-enter. Once they realize they cannot just illegally enter the country to get citizenship they will no longer do it. And also send home all those criminals who illegally crossed the border in the past 10 years.

Looks like our 800 million is paying for the French authorities to party! I've never had an issue with immigration when it's done properly in a carefully controlled way. Go through the proper channels, come over & bring some skills like Australia do things. It just annoys me that the moment anyone says enough is enough and proposes some real solutions, all the other countries point the finger and scream racist! Until the UK comes out of the Euro Convention of Human Rights, nothing can or will be done. Diplomatic pressure needs to be applied to the French authorities to pursue the traffickers and to cut off the supply of boats and engines. No boats, no engines prevents any illegal trafficking. In Australia unemployment is rising. Homelessness is rising at a rapid rate. Middle class workers living in cars. We're fast becoming USA.
