People need to realise that JJ is a person and KSI is a character.

Honestly my opinion of JJ has changed a bit. This was eye opening, he did some real good! Especially since he didn’t use these opportunities to make himself look good. He just did it.

*KSI is a RU-vid Don.* People always hate on him, but he’s a legitimate great guy. He’s elevated loads of smaller RU-vid channels, and always shows the fans love. True Geordie once told the story about how JJ payed for a couple of fans to attend Insomnia. He’s also elevated the RU-vid game, he went from Gaming, to Acting, to Music, and now Boxing. He intentionally creates drama, but doesn’t have bad intentions. Look at his recent beef with Quadeca. They did their Diss Track’s back and forth, but there’s clearly mutual respect there and they like each other (look at the recent FIFA videos). I’m now a Quadeca fan, but I honestly didn’t know who he was before KSI even beefed with him. KSI clearly did it to elevate himself and Quadeca, he even hinted at that in the FIFA video. It’s like people say he’s got an ego, but even he said that’s more of a persona. KSI is a G. Mad respect.

It takes a real man to acknowledge growth in people. You could've followed the easy narrative of hating on JJ, but this video shows what a real man you are. Respect.

Lots of people don't and can't tell the difference between KSI the character (Godlike, overconfident, rude and obnoxious) and JJ (Human, empathetic, real, kind). The RU-vid game is one which strives for character traits like KSI hence KSI's subscribers and views. I'm really glad you made this video and you have a new subscriber too! :)

This video literally gave me teary eyes. The fact that those stories hasn't been broadcastet, kind of shows a little bit of JJ's character. Where he doesn't have to show off the good things he does once in awhile! I really loved this style of video, keep at it!

It’s important to separate KSI and JJ. Like many people in the public he clearly has two personas. I’m not a great fan of KSI, but every time I see him in natural conversation he seems like a sound bloke. And what he did helping the guy put with rent etc for no reward or publicity shows he must be alright deep down.

after his comment about anti depressants this is a really nice change to see in JJ. ofc he should still be held accountable for his mistakes but this is a genuinely lovely thing for him to do and it’s really good of you to post this and show his good side

Ksi is a legend, what a guy. But also credit to you man, you did your homework really well and showed a side of Jj that no one has seen, both great kind personalities.

I will always support JJ. If anyone has watched him from the beginning and not just all this hype with his boxing matches and this “bad boy” persona he plays for views, he is actually really kind. The moment he started making decent money he bought a house for his parents. His friends love him and have stayed his friend from the beginning. He takes his girlfriends and relationships serious. Honestly he made a mistake about the mental health but who the hell hasn’t made these mistakes? He is generous and kind lad at heart and yeah he gets lost in the hype sometimes but his by far not as bad as other influencers these days.

ive always respected you anyway... but this just affirms the fact that you are a brilliant content creator in the way that you can own things you've said in the past and correct yourself!!!! love it

That Tom Stockdale video really warmed my heart.

I feel like JJ's problem is that there's always going to be that awkward introvert part of his personality, despite his slightly forced 'wannabe rapper' persona. With that, you're going to get the odd naive remark like at the boxing press conference. I feel like he's struggled to keep people like me, who's watched him right at the start, as loyal viewers because his content doesn't appeal to 25+ year olds. It'll be interesting to see if he ever tries to evolve (genuinely, this time) and create videos which aren't just of him flexing or keeping up this rapper persona. It's uncomfortable to watch for his early viewers who are now grown adults, and soon will be for the teens which make up the bulk of his fan-base. That being said, you can tell by these stories and a few others floating around that he's genuinely kind hearted. He can and should be commended for them and it's a sign that there's a genuinely humble guy behind all the bravado.

I watch KSI's videos and I actually think that KSI is a bit of a twat, but I think that JJ, without his RU-vid persona, is a genuine guy.

This is a very refreshing take on the commentary community scene here. I really liked how open you were with sharing all this info, and the things JJ/KSI has done that you featured here are genuine random acts of kindness. I think sometimes videos in the commentary community can come across as bashing for bashing’s sake, but I really liked the more down to earth approach in this video Jack. Of course it’s hilarious when you take the piss and I love that 😆 but this video really made me smile too. Love your work, all the best to you and Fiona! 👍💜☺️

It's nice to see a humble side to JJ that I think some people, myself included, might not have known existed without this video so thanks for highlighting this. If you happen to see this comment, I do have a question. Do you think that the commentary community have to rely on highlighting the issues with/ blunders of other RU-vidrs like the beginning of your video implied? It was certainly the foundation of it.

I’ve been watching JaackMaate videos for a while. Recently, in my personal opinion, we grab our pitchforks and torches when we realise that people who are in the limelight say or do terrible things, which yes, we shouldn’t praise behaviour that victimises, abuses or discriminates others cultures, mental health, race religion etc. I really enjoyed watching your content because it’s a conversation, you offer the good points and the bad about the person but ultimately you highlight that they are human. Just their mistakes are inflated on this format. I really like this style and really wish to see more of it. It was genuinely heartwarming and in these years that reality is actually cold and harsh, videos like yours remind us the goodness and humanity that people have. It’s not a video that’s totally kissarsing, it’s realistic. Keep it up!

It’s great seeing critiques for the bad what people do in RU-vid but sometimes it can be a real downer if it’s a constant like most RU-vid social commenters I feel videos like this what also praise them for the good they do could help youtubers go onto a good path if they know the archetype of one what’s good and one that’s bad. Also it has a good, positive feeling for the viewer as nowadays it’s the life’s of the average joe can be doom and gloom rampant with mental health problems videos like this truly hit the heart and soul of why together as a race/community we can be a good happy lot.

Can't forget he did the same for Bambino Becky and just recently Helped someone that was in the sidemen video who got hit hard with the pandemic

jack don’t get me wrong, you’re one of the funniest you tubers and best story teller. however, i feel like the edited music ruins it because it’s distracting and this honestly makes me feel like i’m at a workout lmao. however, this is constructive criticism please don’t take it the wrong way! i much prefer the comedy approach where you directly speak to us rawly as an audience x

JJ is only human, he does mistakes and he has compassion, he is both loved and hated just like you! Do not judge unless you're perfect and everyone knows that no one is perfect

Quality video Jack, and one that desperately needed to be made. RU-vid could do with some more positivity at the moment, however negative things seem to gain more traction now.

It's unreal how generous JJ actually is, and he has no idea. To be so blissfully unaware that his actions can change people's lives for the better is actually amazing. It just shows he's a genuinely kind person, and doesn't help people out for the sake of clout or fame or anything selfish.

This video completely changes perception on JJ and all the RU-vidrs like him, it's easier to see the bad in people and the good always goes untold or unnoticed and that's the same in all walks of life!
