I'm a huge fan of the logo style seen on the Google Pixel cloth cases. It's simple and clean. I also want to say as a product engineer and designer myself, I completely understand the intentions of trying to make a video that is short and interesting to feature your product to the consumer. However, an issue that I have seen with even my own clients when helping them launch their products is that they sometimes assume that the end consumer is already aware of certain trends and manufacturing techniques used in their product field. But in reality, it appears this way to client because they are producing a product in that field, and they therefore have a greater and more detailed knowledge of that industry than the average person. It's a very easy mistake to make and most of the time it does not have this huge of an impact. But, I believe that how and the manner within which you have handled this controversy has been incredibly well done, fair, and clean, and I think that that shows a lot character and will definitely lead to an increase in brand value and consumer confidence in your products. I look forward to using your products on my device in the future and wish you the best of luck going forward.

Why wouldn't his PR team be able to fix this? It's not a massive scandal and you are dealing with young and relatively low IQ people, pretty easy. This, please. This is why I love my Google fabric case and Dbrand's case. The microfiber interior material makes me feel comfortable that if somehow pocket sand gets in my case, it won't scratch up my glass back.

With a microfiber backing, it "traps" the sand in place, reducing the micro scratches. Carbon fiber is fairly slick. Tiny pocket sand can enter it and move around. That and dust will be trapped in the fiber backing.

Tom Lis I mean the dust collected underneath the phone when or if take out and put back in. The dust is kept there and the fibre cloth allows for smooth friction with minimal risk of scratching the surface.

Literally every company does that, he explained how expensive it was to get the manufacturer, the materials, and the tools. He even said that when all the calculations are made, it’s around $25 per case, they sell at 45 for a $20 profit. That’s basic business strategy.

Dude decided to cash in on his huge subscriber base, just like how Peter McKinnon is, contacted a case maker and had them make him a generic looking case, there was very little effort here, not even a goddamn logo on it. You and I can literally do the same thing today with a phone call, the only difference is we don't have millions of people that watch us to sell to. He didn't open a factory, hire workers or anything. The case designers have CAD machines and molds and just open up a line for his cases, there's nothing profound going on here.

For my S8, I had a $10 silicone case. I mainly got it for grip, not protection. It didn't look bad either. Kept it on my phone for the entire 2 years I had my S8. For my S10 I recently got, I have a $10 leather/silicone case. I love it, and again, I mainly got it for GRIP!

I bought a $1500 iPhone XS Max and put a 2 dollar case on it because I like the case. Then I bought an otter box case. Then an Apple charging case. Now I’m rocking the $2 case. I like switching it up and the $2 has protected my phone a few times and it’s still perfect.

All depends on preference. I just bought a $1,200 phone and have a $10 case on it. Not necessarily because it's cheap, but because it's what I wanted. Just so happens to only be $10.

I purchased it. I really like it on my Note 10+. Feels great to the touch and barely feels like anything is on my phone. Not good for drops obviously but looks and feels great. One negative, which I have emailed customer support about, is that the out of the box charger doesn't seat well with the case on. You can not move your phone around while plugged in with the charger cord that comes in the box without it unseating and eventually falling out.

Mark Bailey it isn’t a product meant for someone as clumsy as me, I prefer a thin case that can help my phone survive fairly high drops, not to mention the fact that my phone is old and isn’t supported
