Realtors will say anything to sell you a house, but here is the REAL DEAL about this Florida Town. A few Solid Facts about this Beach Town Everyone speaks highly about.
Sir, almost everything you say could be applied to nearly every beach community in Florida. Naples, and similar communities, are there for: 1) vacationers to escape the "working world" or 2) residents who most probably moved there after they made their fortune (retirement) somewhere else. It is a privilege to live in such a setting and many people work all their lives "up north" so they can sell, retire here, spend their money, and enjoy the beautiful weather and the gulf life. People who live here to work and raise a family should understand there is a trade off for living near the beach and in an area where most people save all their lives to live---or who come here to vacation once a year. Anyone unhappy with their wages and standard of living should move to one of the larger US metropolitan areas, make more money, have a bigger house, save their money, then vacation in Naples once a year for a week. Life is all about trade offs.
SOUTHERN HOOD VLOGS not true at all I have lived there for 29 years and it’s nothing like that in fact I would recommend to move there now go shut the fuck up and put your opinion up your ass
to anyone wonder I have been living in north Naples for 29 years.and this guy is telling straight up lies, take from a guy with experience it’s a beautiful place I definitely recommend
Compared to NJ it's a beautiful tropical paradise, it's very clean, no pollution, sunny beautiful weather, less stressful, no snow, beautiful green scenery, no state income taxes, beautiful homes, great for the elderly and retirees, et cetera.
I have lived in Naples for 20 years I thought people were rather cold the first few years but when my girlfriend died I found out these are cold blooded people for the most part.
Watching from Costa Rica.🏖 Thank you for your candid view! I'm a U.S. expat and had been doing research into purchasing a vacation/six month residential home in Naples. Currently, I can buy beachfront homes in Costa Rica, for 1/3 to 1/4 of Naples home prices! Not to mention, the lower cost of living!
My friend is down there now. It looks gorgeous not sure why you would come here and be part of this mess if your already in costa rica. I would buy in costa rica on the beach overlooking mountains and not cone here to have all your money leeched away
I live the past 12 year between fort lauderdale Boca west palm beach for work have to move to Naples 3 years a go and love it yes is slow pase but love it
For one you need to get better friends if they are in the negative or only 100.00. Second you’re full of shit. Ton of work here and if you can’t make it you are doing something wrong. If don’t have any skills and didn’t graduate high school it doesn’t matter where you go it will be hard. My wife started at a doctors office pulling files for patients. Worked her way up and now she is the billing manager for Naples community hospital. Nothing in this world is handed to you. It’s about making the right life choices and hard work. I joined the navy to be a hydraulic mechanic then decided to come back to napes. Got s job working at a hydraulic shop. Worked my way up and then had a house built for 113k. After 20 years I sold it and built another one with more land and twice the size for 350k. I worked hard to get where I am nothing handed to me. My brother in law was a super at walker construction making great money because he worked his way up. One day he decided to make some very bad decisions and now he has nothing. Was this Naples fault? NO! No matter where you go you need skills and the want. I don’t care if it’s painting or working at McDonald’s.
Hi again, another great video. Part of our quarantine time is watching your videos! It's really keeping us entertained and so interesting. Thank you thank you. I just can't imagine anybody having nasty things to say to you when you're doing such a great service for so many. Anyhow. Can you tell me if the Tampa area is considered Southwest Florida? Just seeking information on the tone of the city there it is as diverse as Miami? We are looking at Plant City as it seems to be a really good family community. Try to find more information about that. Anyhow thank you so much again and all my husband's grandfather was from Cuba and was a bicycle Champion! The last team was Vasquez. Okay take care now
tampa SWFL? .. probably NOT! my older brother ould think thats cool he loves riding bike. were also from cuba. Tampa is better than miami, MORE DIVERSE. BETTER intergrated, less segregated. if you watch my tampa HOOD videos.. you will notice even in the worst parts cuban flags.. tampa is a very cuban city.. i think tampa is better than miami when it comes to race issues, becuase WHITES in tampa too.. whites wont do miami.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS thank you Jose that is really interesting information. Maybe when we get down there, we are here in Arizona and the virus has gone wild, I think they may limit folks coming in and out of the state soon not sure, after this virus calm down we can meet you and your dear wife for dinner or something? Hey have you ever thought about becoming a realtor? Thanks again so much!
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS I forgot to tell you that when I sold our mobile home here in Arizona I phoned three separate companies that will finance mobile homes. If you're interested I can try and find out information for you. I'm not sure if these specific companies were Nationwide but I do know there are companies out there that will help with the financing. Just let me know how I can help. We have plenty of time on our hands right now :-)
Naples has an extreme seasonal service economy combined with seriously high costs of living, especially for housing. If you don't own your own business around a focused profession already, the majority of work opportunities in Naples are temporary, under $15 an hour, no health benefits, probably in construction, and no real growth - just basically dead-end jobs. The vast majority of Naples businesses are very tiny, individually owned, or have tiny staffs, are temporary seasonal, or work with skeleton crews. Year-round economic opportunity exists in exclusive niches and with who you know. It's really that simple and difficult at the same time. Cash is king and the black market on labor is huge because sustainable, gainful employment in Naples is, quite frankly, a myth. ..and it is crowded now! So much destruction of the everglades throughout the city.
Thanks for your videos. I was thinking of move to Florida, but I just didn’t know exactly where I should buy . I was thinking Boca , Delray and west palms.
Oh my gosh.... Boca? Big mistake. Naples is no better. Lived in both places, 30 yrs between the two. Moved to Georgia and LOVE IT! Rome, GA is a charming, quaint little town and the people are awesome. They only decent folks that live in FLorida come from places like, TEXAS... GEORGIA... OKLAHOMA...TENNESSEE...problem is, those folks know they live in a God-blessed state and DON'T LEAVE!
Thanks for a different perspective on Naples. We are a younger family in Fort Lauderdale looking to relocate to get a little slower pace and better schools. Almost everything you mentioned seems to apply even worse to Southeast Florida. It seems like a lot of the negative feelings you have for Naples are some of the same I currently have for Fort Lauderdale having grown up here. Now having a young family I just don't feel its sustainable for us. Just looking at real estate, it seems like you can get more bang for your buck in some areas in Naples compared to East Fort Lauderdale. So I'm wondering if you have any experience being around the East Coast of FL and how you think Naples compares to say Fort Lauderdale in terms of livability?
I want to move there in the next 2 years. I live in ft lauderdale as well and go to Naples many times during the year. Rudeness does not compare to east coast. Much more pleasant in Naples.
FLORIDA HOOD VLOGS , ok but once again you should change the title. To be honest it makes no difference what opinion you have about Naples, you been moving from Naples for almost over a year, you make videos that contradict eachother specially when you express your feelings about Naples but opinions are just like butholes, we all got one.
FLORIDA HOOD VLOGS ok Jose, if you don’t like people’s opinions maybe don’t post any more videos, you sound very smart in your videos but base on your response you are not at all, I can tell now the reason why you cant make it in this city, hurry up and sell your mobile home and move to a better place so you can tell them “the truth about your new home”
Henry Perez I dont have a mortgage, debt, kids.. i can be here for as long as i want. I think what bothers you is that i have options and can take my time.. instead of worry about my life go take care of your own.
I absolutely learn to hate Florida, specially Central. Went back to NJ and now I appreciate it more. There are certain things, call it mentally, or some sort of personal experience that can't be understood by outsiders that living up North is so much better
I lived in Naples from Jan. '75 to April '78. Then visited and stayed with in-laws for many years later. It's nothing like the quiet sleepy town it was in the 70's. It was so nice then. Although I do remember visiting there in like '70/71/72. That was before they got effective mosquito control. I remember in the summer at that time, the gnats would swarm around your head and into your ears, it drove me crazy. The mosquito chemicals must also help eliminate the gnats also. Naples started as a 1920's boom town, where industrial tycoons would stay in the winter to avoid the cold. But it was empty in the summer then with no a/c. Even in the 70's I remember the Ft.Myers area had bad traffic and high crime. Most of Golden Gate estates are on wells and septic tanks. Not for me. Golden Gate city may have city water and sewage by now though. But those houses are cheap, cracker box ugly crap. Another thing I've noticed, there's really not that much to do in Naples. If you like to play golf and go boating, that can keep you busy. For a while, then you get burned out on that. After that there's no much left to do. Another thing, the water tastes like swamp. I asked a friend who still lives there what happened to the water, as when I was there in the 70's it tasted good. He said the wells dried up, so they had to switch to Everglades water. No wonder it tastes like swamp. So you'll be drinking bottled water while there. Or get an R.O.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS I remember renting a condo in The Glades, in East Naples. It was new and nice. And back then $300 a month furnished, for a 2 bed 2 bath condo. Now the condo fee would be over twice that in there. So yes, those were the good old days.. Later I remember a nice house in Park Shore in the early 90's was around $350K. Not now. Huge money in that area. High condo fees are the real Achilles heel that keeps fairly affordable condos from being affordable to live in after purchase. Old Naples is still my favorite area there.
You need to do a Video about the Planned Florida Turnpike Expansion from Polk County to Collier County ,The Expansion of the Suncoast Parkway from Citrus County to Jefferson County and Into the Border With Georgia ,Connect the Suncoast Parkway and the Florida Turnpike Between Orlando and Ocala,There is a lot of this Topic on the Internet recently your Channel is Awesome 😎 👏 but everyone Needs an Informative Video About this Huge Historical Project that the Florida Legislature aproveed last Year
I think the NORTH extension is horrible. The south extension is NEEDED. But, I don't think it should be a toll road. This is clear FOR tourist and NOT for locals. I will probably skip on that topic for now. It will fall into another video project I got coming soon.
Naples is not a friendly place, not even close. You can not live in Naples if you dont move there with money. There is no way you can go there as a regular person. I'm in Texas now, trying to gat my wife here as well. Even though I make good money in Texas I still have to care for my RENTED space in Naples because of a lease. For what I pay for a two bedroom Villa, I can get a 4 bedroom, 4 bath, fenced in yard, with friendly neighbors.
Texas is good! I moved to Florida and only thing I love is the beach, people here sucks, traffic sucks, worse drivers ever seen in the whole usa... also is way more expensive and pay is lower than Texas... Renting here is a pain compared to Texas, you have to pay first, last and retainer + you have to pay association and get approved first.
Many people are allergic to the red tide thing, also the grass fires, terrible traffic, super high price restaurants (many of which are closed permanently and empty), cops trying to ticket drivers after 7 pm., basically Naples is a place where old people go to die. The good thing is - it doesn't snow here. Expect home prices here to drop by 50% in next 2 years. Oh, yes, .. forgot the hurricanes. Now that any flu can close down all businesses - who would invest here? Gangs will be moving into the good homes to set up drug shops with the police.
Most jobs are in retail, health care, real estate and construction. I used to work there as a tile contractor. There are a lot of unlicensed and cheap contractors working for free in the Naples/Fort Myers area. You can't compete with third world rates. I had to move. Moved to Seattle and my income tripled. I miss the beach, wearing shorts all year round and affordable housing. Naples may be expensive but you can still find affordable homes for sale which is something you can't find in the Seattle area. A lot of people move to Florida because they can buy a home for half the price.
You should do an OWNER CARRY sale. Then you could sell your mobile home and take payments (you become the bank) with interest, and if they default, the property goes back to you.
Naples used to be more friendly when the area was populated by Midwesterners. When the New Yorkers / New Jersey transplants started coming in it started to become like Miami. The entitlement attitude these people brought is very unfriendly.
You couldn't pay me to live there!HUMID,HUMID,HUMID!!!!!!!!How can you breathe down there!Swamp land!No way!Not counting the Hurricanes and the snakes and gators!I would have to take 10 showers a day to feel clean down there!NASTY AND NOT FOR ME!
This is a great true video on Naples fla.we lived there for 21 years i.had too always worked two jobs being a single parent always a pay check to pay check problem.we moved to Pittsburgh last year it's not paradide.but it's so much cheaper.naples is paradise if you have a lot of money and you like constant heat its fot the retired I think it's all about the tourist and keeping it fab for them.a lot off time off from work I had no money to do anything because of cost and too hot to even enjoy beach .anyway point it you have to be very well off.
Hi, thank you for sharing, very good video showing just he plain truth! I have a quick question if you don't mind. You mentioned some great spots exist in the Florida Everglades to go to. Would you mind making a video of those great hidden areas in the Everglades that would be good to go to? I would be very interested in getting to know those nature areas. Thank you.
I would agree,i lived in naples for 27 years, and had a good job,but if you are making less than $25 to 35an hour forget it,rents in town as of2020are i,d say an average of1600to 2500$ a month for a two bedroom,on top you have electric plus generally another $100for garbage and water, that is why so many people share rent, and forget about rent control places the list to get in is so long you,ll be waiting 2years at least, and there is a earnings cap on that so most people stuck in the middle on say18 an hour forget it you wont be eligible,so think on.....also i will say this as a prediction,in 10 years if can,t speak spanish you will be struggling to get empolyment.
Ive never been to Naples, but as a tourist, I've been all over Florida and i find ft. Lauderdale to be the rudist place on earth. It never dissapoints. I would hope naples is not that bad .You should continue this vlog with the most unfriendly cities in Florida,
I moved 6 months ago from Austin, Texas to Fort Lauderdale and I am done, I am leaving people here sucks... I want to try now Naples and hope is not as bad as Miami-Fort Lauderdale
@@SPINEVENTZ I agree I’ve been here my whole life and probably won’t leave but Florida is a temporary state. It’s no longer a state to put roots in anymore sadly
We live in Naples and yes it is expensive and its very hot in the summer. I agree a lot of the people here are extremely rude!!!! There are nice affordable places to live in Naples that’s not in the hood. I agree also that a lot of ppl here are trying to “keep up with the Jones”. The beaches were not crowded at all during the summer. Most houses in the area are at least $275k and up. If you find anything cheaper you’re gonna be in a bad area or so far out in the country it takes 30-45min to get to the beaches or downtown.
Completely disagree. Naples is amazing I’ve seen other parts of the country and even other parts of Florida. Nothing and I mean nothing compres to how clean and beautiful Naples is.
Brother yo vivo aqui hace 5 años y solo puedo decir que si buscas un small town bonito, seguro, y limpio es Naples Fl. Whith that being said. Es super caro, aburrido para los jovenes y para mis hijos pequeños no mucho que hacer ( Beach, hunting and fishing) night time doesn't exist, en Naples 11pm todo cerrado. Ti enes toda la razón and I hope my family will listen to me when I say I do not want to be here much longer.
Don't get me wrong I love Naples but I feel like I'm messing so much. What about night life? No muchas obciones just lest than a handful of nightclubs and bars full of people above 50 years old. After 12am puedes dormir en el centro de 5 avenue y nadie te arrollara jajaja.
This has to be one of the most delusional posts I have ever wasted my time listening to. You talk about real estate as if you are on expert on the subject, and obviuosly are not. You are right about only one thing, it's your opinion.
stick around, subscribe to my channel. Currently working on a video about real estate. You can judge my real estate knowledge by that. I read your first post, before you edited it. No one is an expert on real estate, i've lost so many opportunities, If i knew 10 years ago what i know now.. i'd be $200,000 richer. no one is an expert.. look at LEHIGH acres.. a house out there was $80,000.. now its $146,000. look at Spring hill, Fl.. houses that sold for $80,0000 out there now worth $170,000. empty lots sold for $3000 and sold for $12,500 in 3 years. no one is an expert on real estate. the only thing i KNOW for a fact is, buy with YOUR OWN money not the bank.. can;t foreclose on something that YOU OWN>.
I came here 2011 to be closer to my parents. I live in Bonita and work in Naples. I agree 💯 with this video. I'm looking to move now that my parents are gone.
Dude, those same young women can work at Panera while paying off student loans and having 2 roommates and a 10 year old Civic, or they can live in a nice house with an older rich guy who pays all the bills and provides a BMW.
wow how little respect. here in Alabama a women can have a decent apartment to herself and a nice car.. thats miserable what you describe almost makes you wonder for a young womans safety in todays worst just horrible that you think thats acceptable living conditions.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS to be the girlfriend of a wealthy old guy in naples rather than swiping on Tinder in an apartment in Alabama. Hmmm. Im not saying most women should do it but if a woman in her 20s can make a good deal that works for her, its none of my biz. Only 10 percent of young women have the looks for it, anyway.
@@GUITARTIME2024 your morally debased. Naples is garbage you think they dont have bigger better houses here? You need to expand your thinking you have been brainwashed i wouldn’t trade my alabama life for that crap down there traffic and snobs.. i live like a ling here. Land, space, creek with clear water out back.
Lehigh Acres is very ugly VERY Rural and I would never live there period ..And I do not put it in the same category as Naples whatsoever. Naples is NOT a rural area. Rural areas as a whole are not going to have sidewalks! p.s. The beach parking that was so packed after the hurricane in Naples you know why right? Well you probably only know if you were a shell collector. Hat is the best time to find wonderful shells on the beach that normally aren't going to be there! We use to do this all the time after hurricanes in the black Water of Gulf Coast Ms. When normally shells were tiny& few and far between.
I have lived in St pete, clearwater and go to the other coast from time to time and Naples has more parking than any other place, you just need to know where to go PS i have lived in Florida over 30 years now
I am 32 now but grew up in Naples. Was a beautiful place to grow up. Literal paradise. The problem is now, too expensive to sustain there! Sadly myself and most kids I grew up with left due to this. Hope to return someday!
Thank you for this information. I will mark Naples off my list. I’m still learning Florida and trying to pick a good area & safe area to raise a child. *Ok, you mentioned some good areas for kids- I’ll look into them.
i grew up in naples and am so glad to be gone. its just sooooo dam boring. it was a good safe place to grow up but as an adult there is only golf, eating, and drinking. booo! its a town for successful people so too bad if you are poor. there are some poor areas but people hate them with good reason.
Your friends are just bad with their money bro. lol My "Networth" is less than 8,000, and my monthly income is around 3,000. I live here just fine... just saying
Cool, how old are you? if your young i recommend you start SAVING and one day can buy a home cash somewhere cheaper.. cuz as you can imagine you will always be a renter otherwise and,.. well.. retirement,..
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS I budget well and I'm constantly saving. Yes I'm young but my head is on straight. I keep my expenses really low mainly, about 1300 total (all expenses) per month. I've got my emergency fund just incase and I'm all set. My point was that you were going a little over the top with saying poor people can't live here. Either way, nice video 👍
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS I know there's only a few restaurants out there and a few businesses. But I was wondering if you would do a drive-through and stop in and see a few people and just see what the actual place is like. Seems like eventually the growth is going out towards that way anyway.
Estero and Bonita are in LEE COUNTY...not suburbs of Naples Einstein. Immokalee originated as a FARMING AREA. The development of Immokalee had nothing to do with Naples, it had an abundance of vacant land for large scale farming. Butch up Crybaby...I-75 heads north.
Eres un raro. Te quejas de las gold diggers y viejos verdes, pero quieres que te dejen en paz cuando dejas tu caneca de basura afuera por días y parqueadero tu carro en donde se te de la gana con musica alta. A ver, verde o maduro?
Diane Lloyd-wilder why do you think rich means successful? Plenty of rich people who are total failures they died or even commit s... all alone and miserable. They find these rich people by the smell when they die because no one around to love them. Thats not successful. My dad never had wealth but he raised four kids who are all productive citizens of society raising their own families and even a few of my cousins at times when they needed help and thats a successful person not exactly rich but certainly not a failure.
