As an archaeologist, this video footage was so dang moving. I was legit teary eyed by the end. What an incredible journey and to get to see those ruins in person, what a treat.

Linnea, at the point in your film where you show the first jaw-dropping scenery, I began to feel tears well up. I am 68 and I have sat in a chair, working as an accountant, for 35 years. I know a journey like this will be nothing I experience on earth. Then, in your film, you say you were brought to tears. Never let those who are mean get you down. Maybe they realize the same but the have a different reaction. You are bringing the most beautiful gift to the world and to women who never knew they could. Oh wow. That touched me deeply. I've seen so many documentaries on Peru/Machu Pichu. But, this was so personal. The perspective you presented gave so much more information and feeling. This is significant to me because my grandfather's heritage is Peruvian. Seeing the different terrains explained to me what my personal draw is to rainforest and mountains as well as high desert areas. You're becoming quite the story teller! I loved this. Thank you for posting. I was just in The Sacred Valley too, early-mid January. Hopefully you were able to hike up to Huayna Picchu!

Took this same journey back in 2002 with my wife. The landscape, mountains, trails and people have brought back so many wonderful memories. We were very lucky to have sunshine the whole trip and hiking through the Sun Gate upon our arrival to witness the awe inspiring view & ruins of Machu Picchu is forever burned into my brain. I think it's time to go back after 22 yrs... Thank you!

Great Adventure, Last July I was there, same hiking through Salkantay Trek Agency, same places, same excitement, but no rain. I know what you felt walking on these beautiful picks and canyons... getting snacks on each little village, eating palta, papaya, granadilla, "soo good and refreshing", roasting and grinding coffee beans; crossing those little and unstable bridges... so much fun! and finally resting in Aquas Calientes.. eating so tasty food, before getting to Machu Picchu on the next day... all this was a magic experience that I can recommended to anyone... loved your journey!

Loved all of it. I do wonder if anyone was selling oxygen anywhere? I remember climbing Mt Fuji and oxygen was available for sale prior to the climb. Maybe if it were a guided tour they’d offer oxygen? Maybe individuals can bring their own as well. Or is it relatively bearable without it?
