A wonderful hike that teaches others who aren't aware of the challenges ahead to become alert to certain knowns: bring lots of water, bring snacks to keep energy, take breaks as needed, and use good judgment if required (i.e., it's not the time to try something like "Hey, let's go this way instead of the trail,"). It can be much hotter here, so they used umbrellas, a unique choice, to block out the sun, but large hats with big brims work very well, too. In the Fall of the year, temperatures can go the other direction oh so quickly; listen to the weather and use good judgment. If you have the time, acclimate to the altitude by arriving days earlier if possible. The information Twin Cities Adventures shares is valuable; pay attention to it.
