After gaming for 2 hours with everything maxed out, I'm getting a temp of 42 Celcius at an ambient temp of 36 Celcius. The liquid cooling on this one is serious. No lags. No problems.
@@gametillgrave44 The screen issue is probably the only issue I have with this phone. The touchscreen is really sensitive. Even earphone chord will be a touch to the screen. Besides this one issue, I have no complaints with this phone. If you're thinking of still buying this, why not wait out for the pocofone F2? It's coming soon apparently?
And the 1% users who care, are professional photographers, but then again, what is a professional photographer doing clicking pictures with a mobile device
I miss polycarbonate phones... Makes me remember my red Nexus 5. Never needed a case. Never scratched. Never struggled with fingerprints. Never slipped.
It will still crack the case after a number of drops tho, like my old MI3 (I assume). Would be nice if all corners of the phone are metal like my current OP3T will small cut-out (of different material) in the middle to allow wireless charging (ala pixel with it's plastics for antenna bands)
Having a headphone jack is not bad. What is bad is when your wireless headphones run out of battery and you are on a trip and your phone doesn't have an *old school thing called headphone jack* .
@@gfyGoogle Did you try running for a while with airpods.. if you dont have that extra rubber thingy for which you'll still have to pay, after a few minutes either of them might go missing.
5 years later and I use this as my side-phone for livestreaming on RU-vid so I can use my main driver while I'm mobile-live. The battery + video quality + UI makes for such a great experience. Still recommend as a budget-middle phone, especially since it's price decline in recent years
Good on him not following the plastic=cheap meme that a lot of reviewers like to harp on about. Polycarbonate is a high quality material with lots and lots of upsides compared to metal and especially glass. If you need to give the phone some heft put a bigger battery in it and make the metal frame sturdy. I'm tired of treating my phone like an raw egg or putting it in a case.
Miss polycarbonate phones so much. Nokia lumia had some great polycarbonate built. Especially the bright yellow ones are my favorite. The only downside to polycarbonate is heat transfer. You need to have some sort of heat sink in place. In metal phones, the whole body acts as a heat sink.
At this rate, we'll soon have a 'flagship killer killer killer' & after that a 'flagship killer killer killer killer' & so on & so forth until there are NO flagships left to *kill* .
I wonder when are companies going to realize polycarbonate is the material to use for back panels, especially non-painted. It is ridiculous them making a glass panel and then adding a condom to protect it....
@@chandansoren8002 yh u can have a glass back but not charging maybe cuz it feels more premium but u can't have a wireless charging phone without a glassback
@@danielhirsh2937 Sharp did the first bezelless phone with a chin, not the first phone with a notch! So yeah, Essential is still first, followed by Apple, and then a flurry of other companies. I personally don't like or hate the notch, if it's there I'll deal with it. My only issue is that Apple used the notch to maximise screen all around the phone, but other companies are just copying that design for the sake of looks but still keep a chin at the bottom, where they could've easily put all the hardware of the notch in in the first place :-/
@@techpassion4126 other phones actually do use it to maximize screen real estate but Pocophone could have easily shrunk the chin but I guess they had to cut corners
U can just buy lg g8 which has the best heaphone jack and evry spec is better and it cost only 257 or 300 in my country(gpu, cpu are same as samsung s10)
Zion Josh Iphones are extremely expensive, they are overprice compare to like xiaomi. That’s because they do their own R&D. Did xiaomi R&D their own chip? Their own OS? Features like dual camera portrait mode, chin bezel, 3D touch, Face ID etc? Nah, they just took all the ideas, bought a snapdragon, using free OS from google and put them into a shell. Hey, free tech! If one day Xiaomi starts R&D their own chip that’s as powerful as Apple, writing their own OS that’s as good as iOS, develop new feature instead of copying ppl ideas, AND STILL SELLING AT $300, I might buy it. Yeah, sure consumers are happy with cheaper product, but if everyone in the world stop R&D, just sit down and wait to copy other ppl hard work and sell it at cheaper price, the world will never be improved.
Nah... Even though I'm not a Samsung fan, I'd rather have the A8 2018 over the F1... Samsung has better build quality, better camera and OLED screen. Also the Nokia 7 Plus offers better build quality, similar screen, similar camera quality and is the cheaper phone. F1 is overhyped and not that special... only thing it has going for it is the SoC which today isn't that important because the SD660 in the Nokia 7 Plus is also a very solid performer and more than enough performance for most people.
@@jiiGIOVANiij after updates ita pretty good. They added 1080p 60fps/ 1080p Netflix and tons of gcam camera which further improves the camera. But its old now .i would suggest redmi k20 , same company and even better than in terms of features, mkbhd also made video Other good phones choices in same price market - Redmi note 8 pro, realme x2 both are good but not as powerful as pocophone .. though they can play very good (not constant 60fps) If you are on right budget and want highest fps on gaming definitely poco is still a king under 300$ market
I have 2 of this phone. I play Mobile Legends on it 48 hours straight and it doesn't even get warm. Never lags. Speakers are very good, battery life 8 9 hours non stop usage (media and gaming), or 2 3 days if you only use it for phone calls or texts. You can easily find 128GB version at around 200$. People saying 845 old? Wtf. Even 820 is more than enough for all the phone games out there right now. I'm gonna keep this phone until snapdragon 900+ comes out.
2023 still rocking this phone. got a couple of battery and backplate + volume buttons swap that I did on my own. everything still working great. probably until next year when I really want(not necessarily need) to get a newer phone.
Tech through Toni I have Netflix on my phone just in case I wanna watch it on my phone. But never really have. I watch RU-vid on my phone all the time.
i guess everyone now has to watch all series on Netflix because terrarium is shutting down . (ps i use netflix poor people use terrarium like people from 3rd world countries for whom this phone was made)
Make a live screen comparison between the op6 oled and that poco-lcd. Do it. I did it and ill never pick up a lcd phone again, oled is in another galaxy in terms if visual fidelity.
Lukas Langer Hell like you're comparing a Bravia display to a TFT.The difference isn't even that big, while on the other hand IPS is a bit sharper, doesn't get screen burn ins and the one on Poco is brighter than OP6's.Ofc OP6 got a better display, but the difference....is just small.
ngl Xiaomi is the OnePlus of 2018. Xiaomi's budget phones are incredibly good value for money. As a broke university student I opted for the slightly cheaper Redmi Note 5 Pro for £185 and I absolutely love it. Many people have a problem with MiUi but it doesn't really bother me since I don't really spend a lot of time on my home screen since I only use like 4 apps lol
How screen and display quality is less noticeable feature. Got it in first sale in India It got serious screen bleeding at bottom of the chin. Got replacement yesterday. You wont believe We compare 3 Poco side to side all have different white color with same settings. My friend one have no screen bleed but my replacement unit still have not that serious like earlier. I compared it with Mi Note 5 pro, S7, S5 all have better colours and contrast then poco. The screen glass don't look like GG3. Only 2 things are good 845 snapdragon chip and Sony sensor. I won't say low price because there is lot of cost cutting done. you pay for what you get. (May reviewers have screen bleeding on poco in videos but not that noticeable because its record ,proceed camera auto balance it) IDK no RU-vidr is talking about it.
Lol, actually there is! It's called the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro, it's a pretty nice 15 inch laptop, at an incredible price. But you will have to get it from sites like Gearbeast. There is also a 13,3 inch variant called the Mi Notebook Air.
Getting this phone was one of the best decisions ever! It works great even two years later, I've installed a custom ROM with Google Camera and it's perfect.
Had this for 2 weeks now, I use Apple ecosystem for work-related stuff, occasionally leisure. Ignore any "paid for" reviews, this phone is utterly unbeatable at this price point, it's truly an outstanding phone. It's damn lightning fast and does superb pictures. The fact the phone is being compared to other brands flagship phones tell you the big boys are clutching at straws to justify their price point. Poco has upped the game here, big time.
Jordan Heater's On I'm searching for a new phone to buy and pocophone f1 Catch my eye I'm liking everything in it except for the edge dose they bother you and that black thing on top ? i don't know what's the name of it in English I'm waiting for the f2 hopping they will change the screen a litle and also do you know the price of the 128GB and 256GB?
@@RainbowFart Depends on country. It does not have all LTE bands. You should probably google what bands your country uses, and what bands the F1 has. USA for example will NOT work.
I have to agree with you, I was always a flag ship guy, but decided to give this a punt, my wife thinks the photo's are better than her iPhone 8s plus - the low lighting isn't mind blowing, but good, in good lighting this phone take amazing pics, even the selfie cam blur's out the background, I would have paid $500 for this phone and still been pleased
The real question is whether or not the embarrassment of saying to your friends that this is called pocophone outweighs the amazing high end specs and the massive battery
I bought it for just $235 a couple of months ago and i've to say it's amazing. Gcam it's a must if you want the full potential of the camera, and they already fixed a lot of thing that people didn't like about the soft, like Netflix Fhd and notifications.. and even bloatware. One of the best choices i ever made
Still using in Oct'19... And its going great.... Never lagged, camera always worked out well and pubg runs ultra smooth in highest setting.... What else you want from a budget phone...
I'm sitting here in New Zealand right now with my 1,5 year old Moto G5 ... It's come to it's age - so this might be my next phone I mean for around 300$ idk about the minor drawbacks anymore ... That's the thing to go for if you want the most value for money!
Dear Marques, I want to say one thing. You forgot the IR thing in the Face Unlock. That's also a Highlight of the Pocophone F1. Please try the unlock in Darkness, it works good.
I bought this phone in the very first sale and I am quite satisfied. Phone doesn't get heated up, Battery is fine, camera is good, worth all the hype. Go for it .
And.......it has a BAROMETER sensor. This is very important in cycling or running outdoors to measures elevation. Many cheap phones fail to come with this sensor ! You can also measure the height of things with this phone.
This is more of a GPS job, although barometer is good on showing changes in cities, buildings and so on. Also it is nice to know that your airplane stays at constant pressure of approx. 0.75 BAR and not dropping while you are flying :)
4:05 And up top there’s this old school port you might not recognize It’s- it’s called a headphone jack For plugging in those old school headphones for what’s called a wire Uh- If you’re into that
I just bought one for my 10 yo daughter. Let's get real, there's no way i'll buy an iPhone for a child. I had the Oneplus 5. It was good, so pocophone will be more than good enough for her.

I'm looking for most bang for the buck, So category like that is mean nothing to me. I just think that Poco F1 has better value than any other phones currently on the market. Some people do find Note 9 has desirable functions enough to justify a premium price, but for me it's just not.
You forgot the most important best feature of MIUI... THE RAM MANAGEMENT!!!!!!!!!! Its insane! I had the mi mix and mi mix 2. 6GB RAM. I couldn't really understand why he was saying copying the flagships phone ? I mean every company is manufacturing the same notch type screen how is it even a copy? The video is fine but he doesn't seem too happy about the phone being cheaper then the so called expensive phones.
americans love iphone (US brand) than chinese brand.. no matter how expensive and good this chinese phone. but this pocophone were designed and sold in 3rd world countries that cant afford iphone.
even android P has notch manager... why the hell it is a copy..using dual camera is a copy to him as well...if in near future a phone uses the same processor and ram as it is in one plus 6 or any flagship.. he'll raise the copy term to new peak
I believe so. Pretty sure its pronounced hea-d-fone ja-ck, just in case you got tripped up. Legend has it there was once a device whose most important port was a headphone jack, I don't know if its true or not but something I heard somewhere.
I can say that I like the fact that Xiaomi is challenging the so called brand names... Using the Redmi 5plus for bout 6 months and it hasn't disappointed. My little brother has the Redmi 4x n he does more on his phone than me and to hear him say it holds up means Xiaomi is worth the buy, based on ur specific needs.

Totally agree, this time it isn't some mumbling or false marketing, the cooling does what's promised 39C vs 52C of OP6. OP6 is a better "phone" but Poco's performance is better. But if you don't want to play games on your mobile you can go for anything. If you do, then Poco is definitely a cake.
@@KeepOnRecord he mentioned this in the video. Yes the images got compressed when they were uploaded. He also said that people were leaning towards the brighter more processed looking photos but he still prefers the others because of the ability to edit brightness into the pictures and still maintain the detail that the other camera lacked. If people had listened to his explanation in the video they would know this phone doesn't compare to high end flagships but people instead voted for less detailed photos because of the brightness.
I own one. As well as a mate 10. It's an okay shooter but it's no mate 10. Same way your iPhone X will be much better than this. Pocophone is okay if you're using it as your main phone but you'd miss your iPhone photos once in a while.
i think camera is top priority for him in phone. Not for me, battery and performance is more important for me. When I buy a new phone, Camera is something which excites me the most. But after time, I tend to forget about the camera slowly. And In the end, as the phone gets older, its always the Battery and Performance which matter the most to me.
SP TECH PLUS The problem is the DRM problem so I can't watch netflix in HD and the call quality sound, that's it i think. Can't complain about low light camera performance because price is already so less.
